The room itself was nice. Big and clean. Felt comfortable.
Careful: not all rooms have balconies even they offer all rooms with balconies in booking.com I booked with balcony but got one without. Windows and Curtains are totally dirty. The pool is in between Rezeption and breakfast place. Its totally open. No space to hide. The pool is not used at all. Its just there for their Promotion. Towels are stinking. They are clean but the smell is terrible. Guess its because they got halfdry (little wet) in a plastic bag delivered. The staff speaks very limited english. They are nice but not well trained.
Large room, friendly staff, good breakfast, good AC
The pool is too small and secluded to be practical
The room was large and fairly clean. The AC worked very well. The cold setting stayed cold and blew hard! The bed was very comfortable as well. I slept very well each night. The showers worked very well. Hot water stayed hot, cold water was cold. Toilets were not low flow :). Location is good, not directly around the craziness but a quick walk away. Next to a delicious restaurant!
I paid for the suite which was to include a balcony and view of the city. What I got initially was a top floor room that appeared to still be under construction. There was no soap in the bathroom or shower. There also were no slippers for the room or any decorations in the room (this wasn't a big deal, but definitely noticeable when comparing photos). After speaking with staff, they moved me to another room that was noticeably different, in a better way, but didn't have the view that I paid for, or the balcony that was supposed to come with the room. Also, on a smaller note, one of the staff members told me the cost from the hotel to the airport was 6 USD, but talking with the driver I find out it only cost 4. I felt this was a sneaky way to squeeze a last little bit from guests and did not appreciate it.
I traveled with my spouse and parents (4 people, 2 rooms). All of us were amazed by the genuine kindness and support of all the staff members. This boutique hotel offered homemade breakfast, and literally anything else that we required. The front desk was extremely supportive with booking all of our tours (we visited the National Museum, Temples, Floating Villages and The Angkor Centre for Conservation of Biodiversity (Highly Recommended!!!)). We requested the same tuktuk driver for all our trips, as he was very kind, supportive and honest. The entire team truly cared for us and our stay, every single person was interested in our days and up to date with our plans. If we ever go back to Siem Reap, we will definitely go back to the same hotel! On top of all that, the size of the hotel (only 10 rooms) made the whole experience very cozy and personal. The location was great, just next door to the Night Market and less than 10min walk to Pub Street (which also made the hotel way more quiet and peaceful).
Really hard to find anything that we didn't like. The only inconvenience was the issue with the card payment while we tried to pay for the room (the terminal wasn't working). Luckily there was an ATM just right across the street, so we withdrew the cash. Travelling to a country like Cambodia we were prepared to face such issue, so we weren't really disappointed by that. Somehow I also misunderstood and hoped that the swimming pool would be bigger and not in the middle of the Reception, but we did not feel the need to use it anyways. One last thing, which probably was my fault by not fully reading the description - no lift in the hotel. Although, the staff was extremely supportive and would carry your suitcase if needed, it might be a disadvantage if someone older or disabled would like to stay in this hotel. Overall, we had an amazing and truly positive experience here!!
Location is good.
The stay in this hotel went wrong on the very first minute, even before I arrived at the hotel, as I felt deceiving on me started before I arrived. When I went out of the airport arrival gate, I spotted the tuktuk driver holding a sign with my name wrongly spelt. What alerted me was not my name being spelled my wrongly, but was that the hotel’s name was not the one I booked, but the hotel owner’s other hotel, which has a worse location. It reminded me some of reviews by other travelers who used to stay in this hotel. I insisted that the driver should send me to the one I booked. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist said that they had no room for me and asked me to move to the other one with worse location. He said I could stay there for 1 night and move back for the rest of the days. I booked the hotel more than one month in advance, not the day before my arrival. I insisted to live in the room I booked. After negotiating for half an hour, finally I managed to live in the room I booked, and it was after midnight at the time. It is not the end of the story. In the evening of the second day, another hotel staff told me she wanted a talk when I went back from dinner. It looks like that she expected that what she was gonna say was not pleasant and took long time. Yes it was. She again asked me to move out, because the hotel wanted to receive a deal of a big group’s booking and they needed my room for my 2nd and 3rd nights. It is ridiculous. If the big group booked earlier than I did, then the hotel should not have accepted my booking. If the big group booked later than I did, why should I be the one to move out? The hotel staffs kept me in the lobby which is without AC and tried to persuade me to move out. I kept saying that I did not want to move out. After half an hour I decided I did not want to waste my time anymore, and went back to my room. The hotel first intentionally asked the tuktuk driver to send me to the wrong hotel.
