Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations. Even closer to the little downtown area with lots of little shops and restaurants. The staff were super nice and helpful, with good tips on getting around. The rooms were modest but very decent and the roof top restaurant has an excellent view of the castle. The small pool and cold beer were the perfect way to relax after walking through Ephesus.
the location was good. Not as advertised re: non smoking. Staff even smoked in kitchen while breakfast being prepared. No juice at breakfast and only nescafe for coffee! Rooms varied widely in terms of amenities. Mine was basic. Shower took a few minutes to get warm. Had hard time getting a receipt for payment on the room I would recommend Jimmy's Place which used to be called Hotel Artemis. It is closer to the bus terminal and its facilites appeared to be non smoking. The owner went out of his way to make me a meal on the menu but not being served that night. It was delicious!
very nice staff, always available for questions. nice rooms for the price. location: in a very busy street.should be mentionned
The freindly staff We visited the Historic site of Ephesus
Decent room, for good price. Good breakfast in a cute garden! Very limited parking place. It took quite a while for the hot water was running but this is common at many places in Turkey. Equipment needed some repair work.
The staff were exceptionally helpful in all respects. The hotel was clean and comfortable and situated close to the Selchuk bus depot and many restaurants. We also had the opportunity to stay at the Hotel Rebeticka, a newly renovated boutique hotel operated by the same family. It is situated in a quiet area with exceptional views of three historic sites from the rooftop terrace. Good value!
The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpfull...
The overall of the hotel was clean and tidy plenty of hot water and breakfast was nice.
Very friendly atmosphere
Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Close to sights.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I forgot my hairdryer and it was brought to my hotel in Istanbul! That is truly amazing!
We visited the hotel slightly off season, so the value for money was outstanding. Great location and variety of facilities. Unfortunately, we did not have time to make use of them. Good starting point for one-day trips to nearby sights if you are not in to relaxation on the beach. Food quality and variety is just sufficient, it's never a 5-star experience.
The beach is nice, sandy and spacious. 1-No air Conditionning in the hotel, only ventilation, we sweat all night, u can't open windowns because of mosquitos. 2- Food of poor quality, not fresh, some cups have marks on them. 3- Staff not helpful. 4- you need to pay for the safebox in the room.
The AC is central system. They stop air conditioning system from time to time, and rooms get very hot.
You will need a car to get to the res. It is not a difficult drive but the hotel is located almost to the end of the road with a fabulous sea view.
1. I liked mostly the pitoresque location. From the terrace and from our window we had a wonderful view over the Sirince Village. 2.The traditional style of the house and delicious breakfast. 3. The owner and his wife were very friendly and provided us a lot of useful information. The price is too high for the facilities and confort you get during your stay. The worst experience we had was the lack of water in the bathrooms during the evenings and during the nights, when you couldn't use the showers and neither the toilet. Sometimes there was no electricity => the A/C was not working and it was hot like hell during the day. There is no parking for your car and no minibar in the rooms, although on the website it's mentioned that they have this facilities. I had to park my car 200 m far from the guesthouse, on the main street.
The owner of the hotel Ahmet Koçak really went out of hıs way to be helpful and frıendly. He made a very bıg effort for us and thıs enhanced our trıp to Turkey very much.We would hıghly recommend thıs hotel to frıends.
The hotel has very original countryside aspect. It would be good if payment by credit card would be possible.
We booked a number of hotels for this trip on Bookings.com and this was the only disappointment. The place was hard to find, the room very small with a small window on the ground floor. Sheets were very coarse and uncomfortable. Breakfast on the roof terrace was excellent and well served by the only staff member. But the value was clearly not worth the price - anywhere near it.
Overall this is a perfect choice for someone looking for a simple hotel in which to spend the night. There's nothing luxurious about it. Breakfast is small and simple which is expected with the price that you pay. The room is simple, clean bed, basic bathroom. TV doesn't work but who watches tv on vacation anyway? There's so much to do in this lovely town. Just walk outside and within 2 mins or less you're in the city center surrounded by shops and so much delicious food. Location is great! Great place to just sleep the night. Shower took around 8-10 minutes to heat up but after that is was perfect. Room decoration is not very nice. We stayed in two different rooms two different nights. In one room the air conditioning didn't work but wasn't too hot so it didn't matter.
The hotel was lovely and the staff was great .Great location as we were hop skip jump from the bus terminal which made it easy to go to the surrounding places . A big "Thank You " to Ibrahim for being very helpful and catering to all our needs . I would definitely recommend Rebetika to all who visit Selcuk and please do go to Selcuk as there is so much to see apart from Ephesus .
The hotel is wonderfully located near some of the major sites. it is well run, has a great rooftop terrace and good food.
fantastic ! very nice people and very nice and clean hotel. location very good.
The best thing was the family who owned the hotel. Both Suleiman and his brother Ibrahim were extremely helpful with information, arranging tours and flexibility such as use of room after checking out while waiting for bus. The location of the hotel is superb, just a few minutes walk from town center, close to Ephesus and very quiet and picturesque. Free Internet was also big plus. Excellent.
Nice place, staff really helpful, good location.
Friendliness of staff - lovely attitude and good suggestions re local services.
i'm afraid we did not like this hotel at all and were glad to leave. on arrival at the hotel our party was dissappointed with the representation of the hotel on the internet compared with the reality. the ground floor room we were allocated had a damp and musty odour. (it was also a twin when we had booked a double). we all felt that they have a captive market due to its location to ephesus. we only stayed one night but if the hotel had been better we would have stayed longer. even the beer was warm!
The staff was wonderful
Great location near Ephesus. Very helpful staff with good English. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. A little noisy from tourist buses at night
the staff were great and picked us up from the bus station. Location was away from the busy streets but close to everything in Selcuk. Basic facilities but clean and comfortable. The staff made it welcoming the bathroom door needed repairing. they advertise themselves as completely non smoking property however the staff were smoking at breakfast on the balcony
the location is excellent, close to the train station, people are kind and well decorated room.
Managers and staff were immensely courteous and helpful. All of them made us feel at home.
Cheap, clean and friendly ! What else ? Oh yeah, the terrace on the roof for the breakfast and the evening drink !
Everything! Guys were so helpful and friendly.
Ideal Location, Friendly and Helpful Staff and Decent Breakfast Nothing
The staff was very nice and helpful The room where I stayed was absolutely nothing special, there were other rooms that I saw while were being cleened and in pictures that were so much better, so when booking you should ask for one of the rooms that you see in the pictures here in the site
Good location and te staff
great hostel kind of feel but still good hotel. cool view out the room to the castle and aquaducts. the BBQ dinner night up on the roof was one of the best meals i had in turkey. good to let us pay by credit card! plus, a tip; go to the hamam down the street - really friendly (to a first time tourist) and good price. bad shower
Simple rooms and bathrooms, v clean. Nice rooftop terrace and good breakfast. Exceptional hospitality. Lack of bedside reading light.
A quiet and interesting location overlooking the Roman aqueduct. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A buffet breakfast that was better than many more expensive hotels
Staff and everyone in town are extremely helpful. They don't seem in it "for the money" though they have to make a living. Great! breakfast!
Owner is very friendly and the family is great, they are all involved in your stay and you will feel very welcome here. They were always happy to please, served a very good breakfast on nice rooftop terrace and did our laundry, gave us maps and directions and helped us with places to stay in other destinations. Location is right outside Saturday market which you should try to see, and steps from otogar. We were happy we stayed there and locals around town agreed it was a good place when we told them where we were staying. Don't expect the wireless internet to work in your room or be without interruption - pretty standard for much of Turkey we have found. But they are happy for you to use their computer if it helps and it works on main floor. All hard surfaces so doors opening/closing was very loud, every bit of noise is heard by all. Beds were saggy.
the landlady is very nice and will do her best to please you and makes you feel at home. Bedding was poor quality. Price was not cheap considering the mediocre facilities and the low-season.
family pension, the service is good. the lady is very good and nice. you can buy some meat and vegetables and cooked in their kitchen
The service and the pool!
Very close to sightseeing places, polite and helpful staff rooms were small and very basic
Nice swiming pool and beatiful garden. Kind staffs. It was enjoyable stay 5 or 10 minutes walk from bus station.
Nice building, excellent restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Probably the best deal in Selcuk. The location is a bit out of town. Swimming pool is not maintained. Drinks are expensive (water and alcool). We visited 3 rooms and found out that no non-smoking room exist (we ended up in a so-called one with 1 ashtray on the table).
The garden and the whole delightful atmosphere Focus on tour groups spoils the atmosphere a little
