the staff was great..the grill were handy..the rooms were clean..no bugs
the pool was very cold..it had no blankets..and could use a pay channel
Great price & clean room
No black out curtains. Just a shear curtain you could see through. No way to close the main curtain. No just thin bed coverings
Nothing. Absolutely NOTHING!
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The first room had a double bed, not a king - propped against a king-sized headboard. The telephone plug was LITERALLY scotch-taped into the wall and didn’t work. The reading lamp was broken. The table was broken and so wobbly it was unsafe. I was moved to a different room. The telephone did not work in the room, even though the manager got a newer one and tried that. Mold along the bathtub had been caulked over and was still visible beneath the new caulk. There was no plug to take a bath. The bed was lumpy. The pillows were junk. There was no blanket. I had the worst nights’ sleep in years. To use the television: the owner had recently changed to a less expensive system so I had to keep hitting the channel button over and over until it was just too tiring to change channels so I shut it off. The lights are rigged so if you plug your phone in by the wobbly table, when you shut the light off by the door - it won’t charge your phone. Since I needed my alarm to get up (no phone= no wake-up call!) I had to unplug another light into a non-surge protector multi-outlet extension cord for the phone.....into which the microwave, refrigerator, a lamp and the television were plugged. Fire hazard, anyone? I had asked the manager for a coffee pot and coffee packets. She had no packets but brought me loose coffee, lose powdered creamer after an hour. The curtains in the windows were too long and covered the heat. I had to rig the curtains to allow the heat in. I did not sleep well and as the owner is the day manager and was busy with a cash customer (you need an extra$100 cash security deposit) - I was so exhausted I just didn’t have the energy to talk because I can already tell he doesn’t CARE about his customers or his property. He has a padlock on the hotel laundry room door - tacky. No candy or snack machines - you have to drive to get a candy bar. No cream for coffee. Waffles and 2 types of stale cereal for breakfast.
Clean, quiet. Great price for what you get.
We stay at this hotel every time we come to Somerset. The rooms are clean, and the owners and staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you have a great stay. You really can't beat it for the price. The waffles are also very good.
