Cons: No Shampoo or anything in Washroom!
Pros: AC was operable
Cons: Whole place was rundown and unclamped. Worst place I have ever stayed in and I was on the road in the midwest for 30 plus years. Shower was impossible to control. Went from scalding to freezing whenever someone in another room flushed or turn on their hot water, Restaurant was scary. Looked like one person, the same person who checked us in, was the only one working there. We tried to find an alternate place to eat but pickings were slim. Carpet in room was dirty and damaged. Website totally misleading. If you are staying in the area get a room in Espanola east or serpent river or Blind River west.
Pros: We left at 5 AM so did not have breakfast.
Cons: The room and building is old. Towels did not seem clean. Grout around bathtub was poorly done obviously by a non professional. Shower curtain dirty at the entire bottom edge. Carpet stained and needs shampooing. Rear door to parking needs a chain. Furniture and lamps a bit sticky and can do with more cleaning.
Pros: Good WiFi, clean bedsheets on old, saggy beds, clean towels in dingy toilet that included a dead mouse in the morning
Cons: Dingy room, torn curtains on broken curtain rod; air conditioning was noisy, barely worked; dirty, sticky carpet; fridge unplugged and placed on top of old dirty sagging dresser; no coffee machine as promised - but we did find a coffee manual; restaurant not opened; check in poor: place was locked tight at 6:50pm and an indolent clerk appeared only after wee banged on the door for several minutes - and we booked weeks before. Shameful that this is offres online Their website misrepresents everything: it’s miles from water; the rooms and restaurant are a dump.
Pros: The room was quiet, so got a fairly good sleep.
Cons: First impressions: old, in need of repair. Our room: although there are no smoking signs everywhere, you can smell old smoke in the room, carpet, etc. It had been cleaned, but you can still smell the old stale smell under the cleaner smell. Stains in carpet, don't know what they were. There had been damage in the room, and repairs were not complete: there was a large 6'X6' area in the ceiling over my bed that looked as though there may have been damage of some sort, and it had been roughly painted over in a different colour. So it looked a little slum-like, should have had a fresh coat of paint there. There was also a fist-sized area on the wall that had had some polyfilla, but had not been repainted, so it was obvious that there had been some drama in the room. Again, should have had a fresh coat of paint. And the best part: as I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom, I was leaning over the sink and saw a human tooth in the sink trap! Likely went with the fist-sized hole in the wall in the room. Other minor things: Although a coffeemaker was advertised, there was none. There was no access to a coffee machine or hot water for tea or coffee. Had I known that in advance, I would have brought a kettle. There was no clock/radio, unusual. There was no phone. I don't have a cellphone, but thankfully, I didn't need to make any calls on this trip. So all in all, needs a definite coat of paint, clean carpets, and clean out the bathroom sink trap to rid it of any teeth!
Pros: we told them we were checking in between 10:30 - 11 pm and when we arrived shortly after 10, management was locking up. what would have happened if we were later. the restaurant opened at 9 am. we wanted breakfast before we left at 8. if a facility has a restaurant, it should accommodate the guests schedule. especially those there for business. Also, the manager had to open the door from the inside. doors were chained on the outside front door.
Cons: just that the restaurant was not open for breakfast at a reasonable hour.
Pros: Nothing, but the clerk was helpful.
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Old warn out. Not maintained. Very tired
Pros: The staff was amazing
Cons: The bath tub had mold and was dirty.
Cons: No working internet, no breakfast
