Hotel with everything, restaurant, bar, gym, pool and comfy room Shame that the WiFi is not free. I think all hotels should provide this now for free.
The room that I had was too warm and I was unable to cool it without increasing the traffic noise from the busy road outside. Plumbing noises were all I needed for an early morning call and that was with ear plugs in situ! The mattress offered had broken spring metal hanging out of it and the cover was ripped The breakfast menu had two types of sausage offered and I asked for the Cumberland sausage, the three that I was offered in no way resembled the said sausage at all.
I liked the main part of the hotel,, restaurant, pool etc The staff could not get the so-called central heating to work. It looked more like an air conditioner. There was a moveable electric radiator, but they are dangerous to use at night
As a single female traveller, I would have preferred not to be on the ground floor.
use of the leisure facilities
The fact I booked and paid for 3 twin rooms at the same time, one for us, one for my parents, one for my son. It was our treat for my parents as it was my son's graduation. 3 times my father was told that his room had not been paid for and was asked how he was going to pay.
No stairs Noise from closing of doors during night.
ample parking beds very hard, room dated and tatty, bathroom grout and silocone was black in places
Was for work - not pleasure!! Meal in the Thistle restaurant was nice Very shabby and dated - could do with a face lift
Everything was bad, rooms dirty, rooms to hot, room service poor, staff unhelpful and miserable looking, no vegitarian dishes, harldly any drink at the bar.
staff were friendly, nice breakfast. food and drink are very over priced (roughly £30 for a main). Small portions, and cold! i stayed in one of the best rooms in the hotel, and the bedspread was heavily soiled. tv stations not all working. as people are eating their expensive dinners, the hotel wedding co-ordinator likes to show prospective clients around the restaurant (pointing and standing next to tables discussing wedding plans). hotel was over priced by far. I have stayed in better, with bigger bedrooms for far cheaper! will not use again!
The fact that the children could have their breakfast in their room with a tiny service charge. The bed was very comfortable That we were only there for one night!
the location is superb with lovely grounds backing onto a park and a wealth of ancient roman remains. The hotel buiding itself is a wonderful example of Georgian architecture. The cuisine is excellent but expensive. a party consisting of a high number of young children that monopolised the bar and lounge areas.
Excellent family atmousphere, good caring professionalism of staff, high quality dining and clean, well desigbed rooms Nothing at all
The staff are extremely nice, and the hotel is in a beautiful setting. We got upgraded as it was our honeymoon. Dinner in the restaurant was very delicious, but it was a bit expensive for the relatively small portions, and the music was a bit out of place/loud.
Comfortable bed and a good shower facility Too many stairs, no lift and quite narrow. Not the best if you have anything other than a handbag. No place to plug in a laptop with ease.
Location was good, central but quiet. Superb English breakfast included. If you remember Faulty Towers - this is it. Bathroom was very rudimentary - but lots of hot water.
It was convenient for the centre of town and so there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. I did not feel that the hotel was value for money, £75 for a double room did not include breakfast.
We were upgraded when checking in & the room was lovely. Clean, comfortable & spacious. Breakfast was good too. Staff very helpful. No, very happy on all counts.
Good cooked breakfast Room very small though adequate. Generally staff helpful and friendly apart from Breakfast server - a little surly and unfriendly.
The location and a nice staff. Nothing
We were there just 1 night and spent very little time in the hotel, however it was clean, comfortable and good value, the breakfast was really enjoyable
all the staff were extremely helpfull none
Very friendly staff, good food in bar & restaurant, beautiful view from room, short walk to centre of town. Traditional older-style UK hotel, in a residential neighbourhood. No elevator, our room was up two flights of narrow stairs. Bathroom extremely small. Single pane windows made nearby train a little noisy.
The staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel was in a very convenient location. The bed could have been more comfortable.
the staff were very helpful, the room was kept beautifully the surroundings where peaceful
It was everything we had hoped for - excellent location and an interesting historical building. Good breakfast and comfortable night.
Location, cleanliness, newly refurbished
Hotel is central and close to amenities.
Although there was a notice advising that the water inthe shower tap was very hot, we were unable to control the heat of the shower, as no cold water came from the tap!
excellent location, during a cold spell in St. Albans the hotel provided a nice warm and pleasant oasis.. sant nothing
Staff were good and the room was well prepared
I didn't feel rooms were that clean and quality of furnishings were poor. Car Parking was also a pain!
Location. Breakfast was cold, teapot poured everywhere but in the tea cup.In the room there was not a welllit mirror for applying make up, not even the bath room mirror was well lit.
In center and easy to come to.
Well equipped comfortable room. Cosy bar. Good breakfast with rapid service. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy throughout. Get there early to find a parking space (they do have an overflow car park along the road so there's always somewhere to put the car).
Room very good, breakfast very good Wrong price charged at checkin, but corrected on production of paperwork.....bar prices very high, no bar snacks, no draught beer, no ice. There was a party night in the hotel, when we arrived back from an external event we were met by a police van hauling fellow guests out of the hotel......
The restaurant staff were outstanding, warm & friendly, and genuinely eager to serve. The dinner was also good value for 17 pounds, and the breakfast was superb. The bar staff were friendly and helpful, and we especially enjoyed drinking our bottle of wine after dinner in the garden patio. The room was so hot, it was almost impossible to sleep. Never stayed at a Hilton anywhere in the world that didn't have ac. And the parking lot and street outside were very noisy, with a lot of screeching tires and gunning motors. The wireless provided by bt is also greatly over-priced.
The friendly staff at the reception desk Family room (adjoining room) all I wanted was a double room
Nice breakfast, good parking, good location just out of the main town Stayed on Floor 2 and had wooden floor above us and all you could hear was creaking noises where other residents were pacing around all night. At least I think that is what they were doing.
The warm and welcoming staff - at reception, cleaining the room and at breakfast satnav took us to the wrong side of the road
The hotel was convenient to the event we were visiting (Patchetts equestrian Centre). I was impressed with the comfort of the beds!breakfast was excellent and the bar was good. My husband visited the pool area and found it good Ok. This is not about us, but what we witnessed and overheard whilst checking in. Another customer was complaining about a charge on his room, when he had not bought anything. It was explained that this was in case he used something like room service etc or made any charges on his room. The customer did not understand, and I am afraid that the male receptionist argued with him and it got very heated. Please remind whomever it was that the customer is always right and just say I am sorry. The charge was taken off but the customer was very upset and quite rightly. We were also charged but our female receptionist explained it well......
I liked the look of the hotel. The friendlyness of the staff holding doors and generally being polite. A+ I stuggled to understand the accent of the front desk workers. We got lost in the hotel a few times, not enough signs from the stairs + lifts to the front desk.
Was given the smallest of rooms, with bed sided by wall. There was no light on the desk, and the single light in the bedroom hall was not sufficient. For th price of the rooms they could offer internet for free. Carpets were durty and smelly all over the hotel. This hotel would certainly do with a massive refurbishment.
Hotel heating was stuck on full and the room was extremely warm, the road noise made it impossible to leave the window open, the shower mixer knob was broken and the shower head wouldnt direct over the bath due to worn fitting.
Very helpful and welcoming. Everything in new condition. Beffeater restaurant is in a lovely waterside setting. A thoroughly pleasant experience. Lack of aircon, but management had thoughtfully provided a fan
The hotel is situated in the most delightful surroundings, It is in easy reach of st Albans town and countryside.
Very good service, very comfortable bed, super hot water instantly available, and superb breakfast. None.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant was of good quality at a reasonable price. The surroundings were very pleasant.
The reception staff were very welcoming and the room was clean fresh and offered all that I needed.
The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Two comments: 1) The room was very warm and the only means of colling is was by a small electric fan - needed air condiftioning. 2) The service at The Beefeater was appalling. The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances; however we ordered food (jacket potato and gammon with chips) on Saturday evening at 9 o'clock (the restaurant was very quiet) and it took until 9:45 to arrive. The following morning it took half an hour for a cooked breakfast to arrive. We had to prompt staff to replenish plates, glasses, fruit juice etc. The whole arrangement appeared chaotic and disorganised despite the best efforts of the very helpful, apologetic and obviously over-worked, over-stretched staff.
Location is very handy and the staff were trying hard to please The bed was the worst I have ever slept in
Clean excellent surroundings and pub Shower head blocked and having requested it to be cleaned it wasn't done and it's pressure therefore very low around 30% of the holes actually worked - concerning as showerheads are big concern for bacteria!
Location, excellent breakfast buffet, good food in evening offerings Unable to call internationally and night staff had no clue about solving situation.
The breakfast was a 10/10 night staff on reception left us waiting for entry into the hotel, until he had finished a phone call. Barman ignored us when we tried to order food and drinks and served a customer who had obviously been in the bar all night giving tips to the staff! Night staff were very poor to say the least!
perfect location for very early flight next morning
We arrived late and the staff were welcoming, friendly and gave an excellent service. Location very good. 24-hour bar a great asset. Room was much too small, very clostrophobic. We stayed in room nbr 106 (ground floor), window faced the car park and we had no privacy - only if the curtains were drawn. Curtains were damaged and did not close properly. Price of gbp 79 far too high for these standards.
Restaurant staff seem to be bothered by our presence and not too will to see if we required service at all or not
the bed was really comfortable none
Room was comfortable, cosy and very clean. Lobby/bar area was cold, was freezing outside but maybe heating could've been turned up.
No obvious directions from the airport terminal to Ibis Hotel for guests not arriving by car. There is a regular bus service (stop en route to Parkway) but it isn't well promoted.
It's less than 15 minutes walk to Luton Airport The bed in the first room they gave me apparently hadn't been changed from the last occupant since it contained several long black hairs. I asked for a different room and was given one, but this changeover ate into the five hours sleep I was already limited to and should not have been necessary.
Nothing The room was very small The shower was very small Nothing was good about this place
Friendly staff at the reception. Within 10 minutes' walk from the Luton airport. We sat at the hotel restaurant table for 20 minutes without even being noticed by the staff. And oh yes, we tried everything except shouting. They just walked on by, so we left to dine elsewhere. The Internet tv image resolution was lousy and the tv channels did not show properly (antenna or cable defect?)
Location for airport. Good bar and restaurant area unusual for an Ibis. Usual Ibis cleanliness.. Watch out for the pricing policy. The published rate is a fiction. Always book in advance to fix the rate.
The location from the airport, very convienient. Ideal for a business person or a family looking for a one night stay. Staff very friendly and efficient There are no complaints
The Jurys Inn Watford was lovely and warm. We asked for a quiet room and got it. It was lovely and clean basic but bed was very comfortable. Bath was very clean and I had a daily bath - a practice I would not usually do in hotels. I found the bath small but more comfortable than my own one at home which is very large - it just moulded to the shape of the body. I thought shower rail with semi circle gave a lot more room in the shower. We also ate most of the time in our room for convenience as we were over for a family wedding and it suited us to rest between functions. Reception was very nice, but one of the barmen referred to my husband Noel as you lot - the Irish - which would be a very racist comment!! Staff did not seem to know anything we asked them - they had to look everything up on the web - even what terminal the flight to Ireland went from when taxi was waiting. I think Jurys should have a chart of terminals for all countries from which they have clients and it could be posted in reception area thus obviating necessity for asking in the first place.
The staff werre very professional and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the room very spacious. There was no parking at the hotel although once you had found the nearby parking it wasn't too bad.The bar food and drinks were rather expensive.
Central location Near to shops Close to Rail Station Easy to find Spotlessly clean No on-site parking
It's very modern and new hotel, good breakfast, nice rooms, located in the city center No mini bar in the room, payble WiFi (5 GBP for 1 hour, 10 GBP for 24 hours)
this was our 2nd visit to Jurys inn.. we have family living in watford so it was a perfect base while we visited. the location is lovely and the high street in watford has everything we needed.
Price fair for the quality of the room Lack of parking
Sink stopper would not rise. Removed same but staff replaced it daily w/o repair
Very high standards all round. Difficult to park as with a lot of towns now. Parked about a mile away.

Hotel was clean and well maintained, service was good, food and restaurant were both very good.
Every aspect was ideal for the peaceful, luxurious and celebratory stay for which we were looking. The management of the restaurant seemed to leave something to be desired. Whilst the staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous, many of them appeared to be wandering around aimlessly as if they did not know what they were supposed to be doing. Further, there must surely be something to be said for guests to be allocated tables for the duration of their stay, rather that allocated haphazardly at each meal.
The restaurant in the hotel, The Wernher, was superb. The food was totally excellent. Worth every penny! The service was very good too. The hotel itself is beautiful , inside and outside. The grounds are lovely. When i booked, i was given the impression that the room would have views of the grounds,as that was part of the room description. But we were given a room that was far away from the grounds and below the ground floor. But the room itself was gorgeous.
- Pet friendly - Beautiful building with beautiful rooms and beautiful gardens - The kitchen is just regular - We had to queue for the breakfast because the room is too small - We had to reserve even for the 5 o clock tea hours in advance
The hotel itself is grand and beautiful with lots of character. The staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. We loved pre dinner drinks and the atmosphere in the lounge with the fire burning. The swimming pool and sauna and steam room were great. The jacuzzi had the most powerful jets and we thoroughly enjoyed being the only guests that afternoon as they only just opened the pool. The walk around the hotel is lovely with the secret garden making it more attractive.
The buildings and grounds are superb, the spa is very good but most importantly the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Anthony at concierge.

i booked for my 21st wedding anniversary as a surprise for my wife. The entire weekend was absolutely brilliant, outstanding historic building, great facilities, wonderful staff, fab food, we enjoyed the spa too. We will recommend to freinds and return without doubt. no
Hotel was Luxurious, Staff friendly and Spa facility amazing, would Highly recommend. No, all good
For a stately home it had a homely atmosphere.
There was insufficient lighting in the bathroom and bedroom to make up. Please please allow pets!
Luton Hoo is a superb hotel The staff are excellent and very professional the buildings impressive and the dining rooms spectacular .. we did not play golf but we did think the course looked very boring ...the spa was wonderful and the rooms very comfortable and extremely spacious We had a room in the coach house [ an ungrade not asked for but offered ! ] It was above the pro shop of the golf course and very noisy [ beware ]
closeness to airport, clean, efficient room no warning that there would be a charge for parking the car overnight check in staff short on charm!
Excellent location by the airport, nice and professional personnel, professional services, clean
Excellent location close to airport. Very quiet and comfortable room with good shower. Complimentary breakfast was fine with good quality ingredients .On a freezing cold weekend, the hotel was very warm and cosy. Whilst dinner was of acceptable quality, the menu was perhaps overpriced because of the captive market. I do resent paying £5.90 for a glass of not very good wine.
nice having a bar, free breakfrast buffet, coffee and tea started at 430am. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel is very near to airport and i was satying to pick up some friend of mine and it became very easy for me .
Location location location Nothing bad
Convenience. Restaurant good for what it does. Order off the specials board. Very well sound-proofed.
Ran out of things at breakfast time
the attention given by check-in staff and the comfort of the rooms, good food none
lovely modern hotel no
Location, convenient to visiting office rooms were too hot - no a/c. If you opened the windows it was too noisy. Attitude of the receptionist was not customer focused
Great, clean environment. Friendly, good service. Tidy and clean. High quality cotton bedding. Harmonic restaurant.
Tea/coffee, cookies, milk, water was in my room. Room was standart but enought large. There wasn't any EURO-UK power adapter on reception. Iron was broken.
The decor The rooms need fridgesand mini bar
quality of hotel and room design/fittings
The hotel is a good location, clean and their staff excellents. Air co. fine, but the price expenceive fot hotel in that area ,can you stay in London for same money. The price high for hotel in countryside .
Modern styling and comfortable quiet room.
clean and modern rooms, nice restaurant, good service nothing
We required a hotel near to Hatfield House, we were exhibiting at the Rose weekend and this hotel fit the bill beautifully. Three minutes away. We thought that it may be noisy because of its location on the map; but not a bit because it was the weekend it was peaceful and quiet;- lovely. The staff were delightful; young but obviously dedicated. Our waitress Mica had been with the Hotel three years and was very happy there. I asked her !! Our evening meal was absolutely superb even though they were catering for a wedding as well. The room was perhaps a little small. The bed was so comfortable we slept like babies. So pleased we made it to breakfast as this was divine and set us up for a busy day ahead. However bathroom was lovely and spotless.
Rooms were tidy, staff helpful, location was excellent (next to j9 of m1) None.
Hotel clean breakfast & service excellant Check in bad no info as to what is expected of premier inn standards.loud argument in next room then quiet short while till 11pm doors banged & telly on loud till late very poor door closers banged doors shut !
Clean, excellent value, friendly staff
Premier Inn Hotels are always Clean with the Staff very helpful
Freindly staff, clean rooms There were some people wandering around the corridoors quite late in the evening on the night we stayed (I was kept awake until 3am), this made me feel a little uneasy. I called the 24 hour reception but nothing seemed to have been done as they continued to wander around up and down the corridoors, talking til very late in the evening.
