A very nice sea-side restaurant Paranga. The room really smells - that wet sort of smell embeded in the old sea-side hotels. Very annoying.
Comfortable and well equipped There were problems with interent connection, lack of access to TV channels and the air conditioning started leaking in the middle of the night.

The staff were trying very hard to make up for the short comings from the hotel facilities. The rooms had a smell of dampness and the location of the hotel was in the busiest night spot in Malta. You would probably enjoy this if you were a teenager, however at our age it was a bit too much to bear.

good gym facilites but it is not a 5 star hotel by international standards. room was not cleaned until 7.30 pm on one occassion and rest of stay usually after 3pm. did not replenish tea and coffee supplies had to ask ofr them each day. no hotel dressing gowns provided as stipulated in literature(telling of facilites) that was missing from room unitl 2 days before we left.

This is my second time staying in the Corinthia St George,St Pauls Bay.. We had a very enjoyable week spent mostly sunbathing and swimming. The hotel buffet is very good.They have a nice gym and indoor pool which we used in the evenings.I like the Corinthia and hope to stay there on my next trip.
Ther wasn't any tea or coffee making facilities in the room, I feel this is essential.
The room / suite was very comfortable The room was not ready when we arrived, even though we arrived well after allowed check in time.I had to call twice to get bathrobe. Heavy rain caused a leak in the ceiling.

To cater for all preferences it would be nice to have double rooms available at the front and back, and twin rooms available for business people front and back.

The hotel was directly on the coast with wonderful views. We had a good size room with a very comfortable bed and the bathroom was modern and clean. The hotel was very convenient for public transport as well as for local shops and a choice of restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful and there was a very good choice for breakfast. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. Just one or two points worth mentioning: the airconditioning system in the room worked well in the day but was largely ineffective during the night, resulting in a stuffy room. Disappointingly, breakfast was served in a rather cold marquee, which, admittedly we were there in October, but I think a greater effort could have been made to provide a larger indoor eating area. On the days when it was warm enough we could eat outside on the wonderful terrasse.
It is nice and good hotel in excellent location near good night life area, the room is good and has more enough space, comfortable bed and good bathroom. sometimes there are sounds from above as furniture movement.
I enjoyed the location. Thank you AnnMarie for your "awesome service." Limited shuttle service to and from Valletta and Sliema, hint, people need transportation during the weekends. I would consider checking the temperature on your cold items that you serve for breakfest. The yougart I had was not cold at all, a breeding ground for bacteria growth and spoilage, and my tea kettle I had something floating in it. Paying attention to details will make the difference.
The comfort and facilites are what you would expect from a 5 star establishment. The location is perfect. Just a short walk around the bay to where the action is, clubs pubs restaurants etc, but far enough that there was no passing traffic or disturbance. Full choice of breakfast, English or continental All rooms have a sea view, some better than others, ours was fine! Our room was close to the lobby area. Guests arriving late could keep you awake. some of the facilites spa and indoor pool were located in the sister hotel next door, probably why the Marina's rates are less

As someone who likes to hop around hotels I ended up staying here for a night. The adjacent hotel, that guest have access to, has a very nice pool area and the staff at both hotels are very accommodating. As someone that jumped around a lot of hotels in St Julian's I can assure you this is not the one that you will get the most bang for your buck. It is old, the exterior and interior need to be redone and the pool area for the hotel is ok at best, having a tiny pool, smaller than typical ones in your backyard. If the price is similar stay at the Radisson or if you don't need a resort stay at the Argento.
Pleasant room with a sea view and balcony which had sun most of the day. Room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Ineffecient ventillation/air conditioning. Despite the fact it was autumn, the room was always too hot to sleep when I returned on an evening. The ventillation system was noisy. Due to mosquitos it was not practicable to leave the patio door open.

Location by the sea. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. After the high season the childrens play area had apparently been closed, which was a shame as we were lacking things to do when it rained for a couple of days during our stay. Not quite the family hotel I imagined it would be. Nice hotel though. For some reason there was a smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom for the whole 6 days we stayed there. I have no idea where this smell originated from.

Staff were all v. v. friendly, location, breakfast is one of the best Hilton breakfasts I've had, pools, good offer on the spa on a rainy day. Room cleaning was not up to scratch, it was of the 'lick and a promise' variety. Bed changed only once during 7 nights' stay, @ €415 per night...Housekeeping walks straight in without knocking, which is really not on. Car park is a very strange affair with hidden lifts and level 5 inside the hotel is level 0 in the car park, utterly confusing.
Large and quiet room, nice decor, location next to the bay. Very good Thai restaurant. Poor quality of breakfast. Pooor quality of dinner in the main restaurant. Sheets were not changed daily. Very aggressive communication such as "you mustn't touch anything in the minibar or you will be charged a fortune". The hotel blocked 400eur on my credit card for two weeks.

The hotel staff made the stay pleasant. Enjoyed the lobby bar/restaurant with live piano undertainment in the evening. The wardrobe facilities including the sauna by the indoor pool needs upgrading. The fact that it also is used by none hotel residents makes it to much public. Quite a few people were making their full morning toilet.
Everything was excellent, staff, rooms, location, they had great half/full package deals. Kids had lots to do and really enoyed themselves. Lots of sport facilities so we did lots of sports, could eat well and did not put on a gramme of weight!!!
Absolutely everything - from check-in to check-out! The staff were professional and genuinely friendly. The room was large and comfortable and we had a side view of the pool and the bay. Even if we had a minor problem or question, it was immediatly taken care of. The indoor pool and the gym was excellent, as was the steam room and sauna. Breakfast was yummy, drinks at the bar were classy and the one dinner we had at the hotel was delicious. The gymand indoor pool were not open til after 4pm on New Year's Day (after we had checked-out).

Staff are excellent - very friendly and helpful Very Very poor value for money compared to the Intercontinental just round the corner. We stayed in a Tower room which leaked water from the rain and required a new carpet. For the same money at the Inter we could have stayed in a family room and used the VIP lounge. Breakfast was expensive and evening meal was poor for the money. We actually ended up eating at the sports bar in the Inter for 2 nights which has a better menu and far better value for money
i did't like the fact that they block 150 euros on my credit card when we arrive for the future expensis during my stay. i never heard of such thing before!

Clean and nice hotel. The Reef Club was not open, and they did not inform about this. Even the staff at the orher pool did not know there was such a club! It was supposed to open next week, but seeing the spot, I doubt it...

It was a really relaxing and enjoyable experience. The hotel had every facility possible, with lots of pools, deckchairs, several good quality restaurants,, a gym, shop and hairdresser. The buffet breakfast was magnificent. Our room looked out over the sea and it was quiet. The staff were friendly and obliging. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds in the room were very narrow single beds. I would have expected two queen size beds or at least king singles for that price. The bathroom is tired and needs retiling. The toilet leaked and it smelled.

We loved all of our time at Le Meridien Hotel. It is close to our house and we decided to spend the first few days of our honeymoon there before flying to Rome. My new wife and I enjoyed every moment and look forward to going again as soon as we can. Nothing at all..we we entirely happy with everything and hope to spend our anniversaries there too
The Pool, gym and spa facilities were very good and it has a large sun terrace. It is also well located near the waterfront and lots of bars and restaurants. Building site outside our room woke us up at 7am every morning. Quality of building work and finish in hotel was sometimes poor, but this seems to be a feature of Maltese workmanship generally. Our toilet flush broke and had to be fixed. Our room safe also broke and had to be fixed. Speed of response from hotel staff could have been better.
The location is perfect. One thing that is important, is the free car parking for the quests of the hotel. But most we enjoyed the indoor pool and Spa. Very relaxing experience!

The Hotel was well located, and of a good standard all round. Staff were friendly when spoken to. The music in the lifts would drive anyone insane....all the guests we shared the lifts with felt the same. The staff were not friendly, or outgoing personalities, and very much waited on us as patrons to make conversation with them. The rooms had very little information if at all any about the area and services offered at the hotel. No daily weather updates etc.... all being said though not the worst I have experienced ether

Phenomenal harbour and sea view, excellent facilities (impressive location of the swimming pool and private beach for the hotel guests), good level room services, useful location within the city, comfortable and quiet rooms, and attentive and friendly staff. For a five-star I found it very surprising to find my minibar empty.

The hotel would have been fine - if it was a 3-star hotel. However, dinner at the Tiki Restaurant was fantastic. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, and service was mediocre - we waited over 30 minutes for our drinks from the poolside service. The buffet breakfast was included in our room price, but it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. At the price, this is not a hotel i could recommend.

Nice pool They charge you every little thing such as business center without telling me that they have the charge for business center (right after I went to the business center to print my boarding pass they were trying to charge me for 5 euro plus paper) and they claimed that ice bucket was missing after we left hotel and flew back to New York. They charge us for that which we have never seen while we stayed there. They told us that they have inventory list before people come in but who steals the ice bucket? If we need one we don't take the used one. For me this was not the pleasant stay. I had to deal with the bill for the amenities which we had never had. I thought this is 5 star hotel but I would rather stayed 3 star hotel and didn't have to deal with all the burden after I left. Never stay here again.

Hotel was great! Staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Only available through room service, which, although not expensive is awkward, especially if you want a cup of tea in the middle of the night.
I enjoyed the meal, swimming pool, convenient to go out,etc. It is not the hotel's fault that the TV had a problem during my staying.
Location and position near to sea The closest beaches are privately owned by ohter hotels which means people are forced to pay extra to use the facilties. The hotel should endeavour to reach an agreement with these other hotels to allow its own guests access free of charge as part of the package.
The view and size of the room were terrific. The staff could be more courteous for a 4 start hotel! The cleaning service was poor, the bathroom amenities were extremely poor. Overall it didn't feel like a 4 start hotel at all.

We had a lovely view from our hotel room. Breakfast was good. The bed was very hard and the shower was held in place with a piece of string- we were not able to adjust this- water just went straight downward. Not very impressive.
Good location. Some receptionist were okey One of the receptionist was very rude and not service minded. The Hotel manager didnt want to meet the customers when I requested to have a word with him. He was rude. The housing keeping were not clearning the rooms. They cleaned 3 times but didnt even remove used platrs caps. . The reception overcharded us for cruise to sicilly luck for us we changed in the bronchures.
Location was amazing! A short walk to pretty much everything downtown. Conveniently adjacent to the lagoon for that early morning refreshing dip before breakfast. Loved it! Service was a bit slow.

Location of hotel was excellent No heating in rooms and this was confirmed by the staff. This may have been due to the fact that there were not many people staying during this period. The food was basic but on hearing comments from other guests who stayed fully inclusive we had made a wise choice in staying B+B only. Generally a poor hotel and it is hard to bring up relevant positive points. In some countries it would be rated 3 or less stars. Room was really poor and should never be considered a 4 stars hotel. Bathroom too old and dirty would need most of the appliances replaced including the door as it was completely black of humidity ... The service was real poor and staff helpless in simple tasks that we've requested. Too noisy and we could never guess it would be such a nightmare regarding we were on the last floor. The hotel (in our opinion) is a example of bad planning having the reception in one side and we have to leave the hotel to reach our room through an open corridor... generally too poor !!!

Rooms were clean and provided almost everything what other 4 star hotels would. Great value for the money. good location. Rude reception staff. Tired after flight we had to "prove" existance of our booking dispite having printed booking copy. Our names were not on receptionist list, although after asking for manager our names miraculously appeared on the list. another point - some of the rooms face really loud side of the area with clubs and bars.that could be disadvantage for those who likes to sleep ar night.

The great view of Spinola Bay was a real drawcard. Its location is so easy for buses and tours and I liked the free wi-fi and loan of a laptop for use in the lobby whenever I asked. My room was very comfortable but had no tea-making facilities. The rooftop pool was great. Would have like to be able to have a cuppa in my room.

Only had a short stay, came in at 1 AM and left at 10:30 AM. Reception personnel friendly, rooms clean. Bed too soft to be confortable, Airconditioning could not cope with the "heatwave" malta was experiencing (38ºC in june)
Seaside room was spacious with a good view. Air condition worked perfectly. Nice balcony, and the large door did a good job shutting the traffic sound out. Free garage in the building. Old fashion television set and few English channels. (Lots of Italian and German, though).
I love the location
Beautiful, brand new apartment in the finest part of St. Julians opposite Portomaso Marina and below the Hilton. Very luxurious and well equipped. We arrived to a welcome pack plus a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch. The owner was very friendly and very helpful to make our stay extra special. I would recommend these apartments to anyone.

The hotel is very new and the design very modern. We booked a twin room and actually got quite a big room with four single beds. There was a car park at the hotel which was handy. Unfortunately, it wasn't included in the price. The pool areas, both the indoor and roof-top pools, are very nice, even though you can tell that some detail work still needs to be done. Breakfast wasn't included and quite pricey at 12€. The quality definitely wasn't worth that money. Our room wasn't cleaned properly during our 5 days stay. The first day, our towels weren't even exchanged and our beds were never made. We would have expected tea/coffee making facilities for a hotel category like that as well as more TV channels. The selection was very limited and you had to pay to get more ( and I am not talking about the adult channels...). There also was no hotel information in the room or information on Malta in general. The staff at the reception was generally very helpful though. No room service. Sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were only turned on in the afternoon.
Location was good. Their services are new (hotel just opened up) so things like the rooms, lobby and internet access were nice. They only had a breakfest menu available. The aircondition in the room needed worked on would not cool well.

Staff may be correct and helping or frankly impolite depending on people. But apparently no customer care feeling. Rooms are large enough but cleaning is insuffficient and various appliances were probably nice... ages ago. Rooms are corrected through a very long corridor, so that any noise could be heart at the opposide side of the hotel. So, it may turn quite noisy. Water/shower unsufficient. Bo

Staff was helpful and friendly. Well located to enjoy night life. It would be nice to have a few romms that offer double beds as I do not enjoy sleeping on single beds. I was told these hotels do not accomodate this need. If I wanted I could have pushed two beds together, I was told. The second point is the chamber maids. Although effecient they would start making so much noise every morning starting from 07:45 that it was not possible to continue to sleep.

Handy for busses and walking into towns, beach nearby - 5 mins walk. We were lucky because our room faced the pool (which might be noisy at busy times), if you didn't face the pool the noise from several allnight discos would have wrecked your sleep. Small problem of ants in the room. Rooms were fine as long as you remember this is a budget hotel, do not expect any luxouries.

Breakfast was good. Possibly the worst hotel in St. Julians. Air conditioning did not work in room making it miserable during summer months. No working TV in hotel room and WiFi was only available in reception. But the worst part was the staff. They took about 20 minutes on average to do check ins. and require a written voucher upon checking in and a 50 Euro deposit for your room key. Also, they inform you must give your key to them upon leaving the hotel each time but since they take about 20 mins to check people in the line is almost always out the door. It's not even worth it to stay in line just to give them your key. You'd probably waste your whole vacation time doing so. Pay more money and stay at actual hotel that keep their air conditiongins working and take 5 mins to do check ins. This hotel really ruined my experience in Malta. Will never stay or recommend to anyone ever. I never leave reviews but I am going out of my way to make sure no one waste their time there again.
Comfortable beds, good service There is a motion detector in the room, with a bright red light which shines if you move also at night. It keeps you awake.
The bed was very comfortable and the staff were great. The hotel was obviously incomplete. The water pressure was inadequate, the room was not finished (building wise) and therefore not very clean. I would also suggest carpet in the bedrooms instead of tiling as this impacts on comfort. The facilities that were mentioned were also not available yet as the hotel is not finished. Definitely not up to 5 star standards.
The staff was excellent! It was a really nice hotel, will definitely go back there.
Design Hotel in the heart of Sliema, a little bit up the hill from the waterside promenade, great view from the higher floor rooms and the rooftop / rooftop pool. Their label of being a "design hotel" seems a bit overemphasized and can lead to certain excesses, some shortfalls with the breakfast. Cleanliness is not really a strength of all the Maltese Hotels in general.

The staff was efficient yet pleasant at all times. The wardrobe was not well designed. There was no place to hang long items. They use those hangers that are hooked to the bar. The bar went from front to back. Making use of the closet difficult. The furnishing were comfortable. But we had a junior suite with one easy chair and a desk chair ... and three ottomans! Another easy chair or sofa would have been more comfortable. There certainly was enough space. The room included a nice balcony overlooking the sea -- yet the be for some strange reason was placed so that one could not enjoy the view from the bed ... and given that there was only one easy chair ...! In regard to the question below about 'guest reviews' there weren't any the hotel only opened at the end of August 2007.
The central location of the Hotel makes it easy to visit Sliema and Valetta, near to many shops or restaurants. The breakfast (continental buffet) served during our stay (nov 2010) was absolutely not at the level of the 5 stars of this hotel. No fresh juice, poor presentation of so-called fresh fruits (apples were brown, almost burned in their juice), whereas Malta has plenty of ressources to serve them al over the year. The real good stuff was the bread choice, but for a 14€ BF, it looks nevertheless very unsifficient for this class of hotel
Friendly competent staff, value for money Room service food from the Oriental restaurant was very poor
We had a high floor room which meant a fantastic view over the city from our balcony. The Asian restaurant at the hotel tried to serve our food too quickly and one of our party suffered food poisoning
