It is a pub with a small number of well decorated and furnished rooms. They provide a continental breakfast but there is no restaurant. The staff point out another pub 5 minutes walk that does excellent food.
The young guy who showed me upstairs was polite.
It's nothing like a good B&B should be and for the money, it's a ripoff. Bed was very hard, pillows were hard, very noisy from qiz nite below in the pub, and if you are not very tall you won't be able to switch the shower on. I certainly would never stay at this "hotel" again, way too expensive for what's offered. Narrow staircase difficult for older folks as well, although that didn't bother me.
Decor in room was nice and comfortable bed.
No facility to eat evening meal at venue so had to find a place to eat locally. Breakfast was help yourself continental style, no staff available to help. No staff available to check out - instructed just to post keys in a box.
Basic continental style. Breakfast room was unmanned, but everything was well laid out. The fridge was full of portions of fresh fruit, yoghurts etc. Make your own instant coffee or tea. Bread, croissants etc all nicely laid out. Fresh fruit in a bowl. No problems or issues. Very pleasant.
Nothing I didn't like.
Rooms spacious, excellent in room facilities, friendly staff, good parking.
Surprised no evening food available as it is also a pub, and also surprised check-in was 4pm because pub does not open before then. But these are minor points. Plenty of places to eat nearby.
