Very clean, nice staff. Breakfast had a nice selection of food, cereal, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, muffins, pastries and toast. Loved the 50's furniture & atmosphere.
Bed was VERY firm. I like to take my breakfast to my room and a sign in the kitchen asked patrons not to do that.
Hardest bed I've ever slept on.
Me and the girlfriend wanted a weekend getaway on a budget, and we saw the Holiday Music Motel was very well reviewed. After taxes, it was just over $50 for a one night stay. When we checked in, we got upgraded from a Queen to a King bed. The room was great! Spotless! They have a handbook of all the local restaurants in the room with updated menus! There was no iron in the room, but a quick trip to the lobby, and I was able to get my hands on one. The breakfast was tasty, with lots of muffins, donuts, danishes, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, etc. I enjoyed the above-average selection of various teas. I can't wait to stay there again!
The breakfast area was small and there weren't any chairs available, so we ate on the couch in the lobby. The heater was also acting up and wouldn't go lower, and was stuck on 78 degrees. We spoke to the front desk who managed to turn it off, and we opened a window, and turned the fan on, and it cooled off by the time we got back from dinner.
Super clean, Super cute.
Breakfast area a bit cramped?
This place is amazing! It is an experience, not just a stay. By far the best deal in town. The 50s furnishings and contemporary works by local artists all add to the unique flavor of this place. Have never written a Kayak review, but was so pleased by our stay, I had to write!
