Pros: The whole experience. The apartment was great. Extremely modern, spacious, and very clean. The kitchen had a hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee machine with a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate pods, kettle and toaster. A good selection of pans, cooking utensils and crockery. The loung had a comfy sofa and a good tv with a selection of channels in various languages. The bedroom had a very comfy king size bed and plenty of hanging space with hangers. The shower was a walk in, with plenty of room and lots of hot water. Good toiletries and towels. Sliding doors from the lounge led out onto a patio, overlooking the lake with a table and four chairs. There is plenty of space for parking your car. There is a nice walk round the lake and also a little bar, crazy golf, pedallos and further round a little petting zoo for the little ones. Britta, the hotel owner, is very friendly and has great local knowledge on where to visit. We really enjoyed our 3 nights and would not hesitate to come back.
Pros: Excellent facilities. Immaculate presentation. Spotlessly clean. Gorgeous bathroom. Huge comfy bed and even the sofa bed was huge and a proper mattress on that too. Kitchen had everything you would need. Complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Continental breakfast beautifully fresh and brought to your apartment at a mutually arranged time. What a treat . Britta was friendly and spoke brilliant English, putting us to shame. Beautiful setting looking across the lake, could have stayed forever. Would not hesitate to book again for longer and investigate the area this time too.
Cons: That we only had one night there !
Pros: We found this hotel on very short notice and stayed only one night. We wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment was spacious, modern and clean with a beautiful terrace. The owner is really friendly and explained us all the features of the place. Aachen is only 20min car ride away, as well other parts of Germany (like the Eifel) or Netherlands (Limburg) are nearby.
Pros: Lovely location next to lake & park. Accommodation is to a very high standard, modern & clean. We could have stayed for a week rather than 1 night. Very well looked after by owner, really hope to return
Pros: I hope we can come again and witness the location's beauty during a warmer season because of the surroundings. 1. Hotel Haus Broichtal's staff are really SUPERB and went out of their way to be helpful. 2. The apartments are very spacious, nicely equipped and boast an immense amount of storage: one could move in and stay permanently. 3. Gorgeous views, very peaceful and quiet. 4. The location is perfect to explore Aachen and surroundings (if you have a car). We even went to Maastricht in Holland and it only took around 40 minutes to drive there. 5. Very generous automatic hot beverage machine with free coffees, teas, hot chocolate pods. 6. Lots of free parking. 7. Wonderful large shower with plenty of water. 8. Heated towel holders. 9. Nice kitchen. It was more than a kitchenette. 10. Nicely heated in the winter. 11. Comfortable beds.
Cons: The points below in no way take away from a perfect score, which they deserve 100%, because the positives make up for these rather minor issues: 1. The light to the bathroom in our room was linked to bright lamps on top of the wardrobe in the bedroom. This, coupled with very loud glass sliding door to the toilet made it a bit inconvenient to use the facilities at night. 2. The entrance to the hotel and two of the apartments is at the bottom of the house, necessitating rolling/carrying suitcases down/up a bit of a hill. It was ok for us but maybe this could be an issue for some people. Best to inquire if you have a lot of heavy luggage that you are unable to move over 2 flights of stairs if someone could help or if your rooms are in the top part of the building that are flush with the street. 3. No proper straight-bladed knife, or good cutting board in the apartment we stayed at, but rest was excellent! 4. If only they had more than 4 apartments!
With a stay at Ohlenforst Vis a Vis in Wassenberg, you'll be 11.6 mi (18.7 km) from Designer Outlet Roermond and 6.6 mi (10.6 km) from Meinweg National Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The apartment was big, comfortable, modern, clean. It's my second stay and definitely not the last
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect
Pros: Breakfast was superb! The apartment was really clean and comfortable.
Pros: Excellent all round. Would definitely recommend as a relaxing stay or as a base to explore area. Wonderful restaurant across street; great breakfast; superb free bicycles, beautiful flat countryside with cycle routes. Would definitely return here.
Cons: No Faults
Pros: Huge apartment with all you need. The owner is nice and helpful. Breakfast is good and restaurant is also good. Typical German food.
Cons: The villlage is a little bit remote of any supermarket bank or basically anything you may need so you have to make sure you got everything before your stay to avoid making 8 km to get anything.
Pros: These apartments are situated in a small village across from the "Ohlenforst" restaurant. They are roomy, well-equipped, clean and airy, with lift access to the upper floors. There is a fully-stocked min-bar in the refrigerator. The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast (included in our rate), prepared to order by our host, and meals in the evening featuring local specialities. The portions are generous — you have been warned! We didn't have time to avail of the bike-hiring, but definitely will when we come again, all being well for longer.
Cons: We liked everything. There was absolutely nothing not to like. It was our second visit and did not disappoint. Apart from the odd mosquito, perhaps, but who can control them?
Pros: We liked everything. Clean, big, perfect beds, great bathroom. Good breakfast. This was our second time and will definetly come back more.

Pros: Excellent breakfast with a good selection.
Cons: My wife didn't like the quiet small town location.
Pros: I’ve travelled many places and have stayed in many hotels. I’ve never felt more welcome than at Gasthof Peters. Sofia and the Peters family demonstrate the epitome of customer service. In the midst of a busy Saturday night in the restaurant, Sofia took the time to show me personally to my apartment. And it was amazing...spacious, comfortable and filled with natural light. My breakfast the following morning was very personal. It was not a serve yourself buffet, but Sofia set a place for me at my own table...as if I were a guest in her home...with a variety of breads, meats, cheeses, and juice. As soon as I sat down, Sofia asked my preference of tea or coffee and then how well-done I prefer my scrambled eggs (which were extremely delicious). I’ve often felt sad to leave a location at the conclusion of my holiday, but this was the first time I felt sad to leave a hotel. Lucky for me, I live in Germany and will be able to visit Sofia and her hotel again!
Cons: Not one thing
Pros: Great breakfast and the most welcoming host we could hope for. We just stayed one night, but return just for the great hospitality!
Cons: Nothing, we had a great stay!
Pros: everything, staff very very friendly, huge room, personal breakfast more than sufficient....
Pros: Excellent host. Very clean and comfortabele beds. Relaxed atmosphere
Pros: The place exceeded our expectations with regard to space, cleanliness and facilities. We even had a great coffee machine in our room. We couldn't refer to it as a room, but an apartment, due to the size. Also, our young dog was welcomed with open arms. The house has such a great atmosphere and historical ambiance, yet the rooms are very modern and cozy.
Cons: That we couldn't stay longer!
Pros: The Gasthof is a beautiful, well-kept piece of history. Pride of ownership and attentiveness and flexibility to the needs of their guests make the Gasthof an amazing place to stay. The guest rooms are unique and flexible, with sufficient temperature control, plenty of light, TV, Internet, private bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff, Sofia was a wonderful hostess! Add an excellent restaurant, and second to none service combined with a really unique building with ages of history - what more can anybody ask for?
Cons: I wish the restaurant would have been open all week, but I completely understand why it was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. I would have eaten there every day otherwise!
Pros: We were extremely impressed with the owner as well as her staff. I had called her as we arrived earlier and she was at the Hotel within minutes looking for us and calling us back. Further we were travelling with our paralyzed pet and again everyone was super caring about our dog. The owner served my husband breakfast at 7am as we had to leave early due to our commitments we had that day and made me a couple of sandwiches to go as I couldn't eat that morning.

Pros: very good breakfast
Pros: It's our second stay at this hotel and we loved it again! Super easy check in and check out. Comfortable beds and superb breakfast! Thanks once again!
Pros: We stopped in an appartment around the corner. The apartment had all the facilities we needed for a one night stop over. There was even little essentials like olive oil, dried peppers which is great if you plan to cook. The beds were lovely and comfy, the rooms clean. A little dated. Lovely location. Very quiet and in the middle of a housing estate. We walked to the border of Holland and Germany, walking along the farm tracks and then around the lake. The breakfast was a lovely continental breakfast and plenty to choose from.
Pros: Hospitality. The bedroom. Restaurant. Superb breakfast.
Located in Alsdorf, Hotel Siebenschläfer is within a 15-minute drive of CHIO Stadium and RWTH Aachen University. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The staff was helpful. There is a lovely bakery next door which works as a great breakfast option. The interiors of the hotel has some beautiful paintings.
Cons: The ventilation in the room can be improved. There was only one large window which was behind the curtains. Also, there was no window view. It was just a closed space. Also, there was lots of space occupied by repair inventory in the property.
Pros: Very comfortable bed, nice room and we were welcomed with a small bottle of wine. Quick reply to my questions. Late check in was no problem with a code and the check in machine.
Cons: No view out the window - there was a wall right there. It was hard to find the staff when we wanted to check out. The price was a bit high, especially considering the fact that breakfast is not included and it is not in a special location (far from Aachen center).
Pros: Nice clean and newly equipped hotel. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Good for the money.
Cons: Tea/coffee maker would be good. Glass bathroom door might be in issue for some travelers
Pros: We travel to South Germany a few times a year..... and look for a place to stay on the way back to the UK as close to the Belgium border as possible so before setting off for the final push home ( plus lots of shopping in the giant supermarkets) thought we will try this place and it was great very very helpful and friendly and very clean and they had a great sense of houmour ( told them the room was great but cant see the Koelner Dom from the window) we would certainly recommend this place for a stopover
Cons: I guess the old English saying a cup of tea or coffee................. and a better view if staying more than one night otherwise there was nothing not to like

Pros: Friendly staff, clean, good breakfast quality. Free specious parking.
Pros: Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Hotel is perfectly located for businesses in Dremmen.
Cons: Nothing. All was ok.
Pros: This hotel was easy to get to from the motorway. It is located on a main road in Dremmen and there is road noise in the rooms. This property is currently being expanded and there is construction material around. This was not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. The rooms are comfortable but not spacious.
Cons: Luckily we arrived before 6 pm, or else reception would have been closed. An email was sent beforehand which may have given this information but it was in German only.
Pros: Free bottle of water Quiet even though on roadside Well cleaned
Cons: One member of the party of four did not like feather duvet and pillows
Pros: The property was really modern and clean.
Pros: I was really amazed how everything was perfect. We are quite often in that area (around Roermond) on the dutch border. This hotel is the best when I compare price and offer. I can just say - SUPER. I had there healty problems and Mrs. Owner was very helping me. Thank you again.

Pros: The hotel has some 60's feel to it... maybe because of the old-style decor. But it's not something I minded since all is very well maintained. Actually, it gives it a good nostalgic feeling. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are immaculately clean, the outdoor seating makes you forget your long working day, and the restaurant is worthy of a Michelin star or two. I felt comfortable, I felt welcome, I felt at home. I will be back.
Cons: Water pressure in the shower a bit low.
Pros: Simple breakfast Buffet, but with scrambled eggs and bacon. Restaurant food is great. Limited parking at hotel, but big carpark across the road. Rooms are clean, and water pressure is good. Decor is interesting.
Cons: Rooms are not so sound proof. Wifi signal strength can be a little variable in some rooms. No AC, but heating is good. Decor is not modern - but this didn't worry me. Bed in single room could be bigger.
Pros: The staff were well accommodating and friendly.
Cons: It was warm and there was no airco. The water in the shower was TOO HOT and we couldn't get it cooler. The high instep into the shower and there was no place to hang on to while trying to get in. Not enough parking spaces. Breakfast wasn't the best. Dryed out fruitsalade and the meats and salmon weren't replenished, so little choice.
Pros: Our first overnight stay here whilst visiting friends nearby. Really lovely hotel thoroughly deserving their "Star" rating. Not cheap, but worth every "penny" (Euro!!) Super friendly staff and a good restaurant. Brilliant room and Very very nice bathroom. We visit the area at least twice per year and will definitely be staying her again.
Cons: A little disappointed at breakfast time as bread rolls were in short supply, as was the scrambled egg .
