Excellent 8.0
Pros: well maintained garden and pool area
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I like the personal very friendly . It’s good situated in the middle of Tamarindo . Food was good . The only inconvenience is that you have this 3-4 min walk to the beach and you have to cross a busy street but you get used with it .
Cons: The only inconvenience is that you have this 3-4 min walk to the beach and you have to cross a busy street but you get used with it .
Excellent 8.0
Cons: We had expected a full ocean view not a partial
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel is absolutely amazing. The facilities are sparkling clean, the room is spacious and well equipped with clean towels, bathrobes, and slippers. The bed is also really comfortable. The hotel configuration is quite interesting - the rooms aren't beach front, but you can access the beach through a passage (5min walking) that takes you to a beach front, lovely, private area for guests right across the street. And the food at the restaurant is incredible (worthy the extra kilos!), warm and fresh pastries, fruits, and juices for breakfast and a three course menu that you need to pre-order for dinner! And a side note about security in general... after a terrible experience staying at Catalonia La Romana in DR, where I got all my belongings stolen by someone who had access to my room, now I'm a bit paranoid when staying at hotels. But I must say that I felt really safe at Jardin del Eden, to the point that it was ok leaving my bag by the pool and going for a swim in the sea because the gentleman from the bar was very trustworthy and attentive to what was going on in the area.
Cons: It's definitely not the hotel's fault, but be sure you spray your bugs repellent before leaving your room. The mosquitos can eat you alive over there 😂
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent staff Great food Great location, seems secluded but a beautuful path in to the city is a great surprise Love the pool areas as well as the ⛱
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was great, the staff were super attentive and helpful, breakfast and dinner were included with our room and was so good! We had a great view from.our balcony and it was a short walk to the beach and downtown area, I would definitely recommend! staying here!

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Felipe was so great. Really put in effort to connect you to the area and made sure you had everything you needed. The kitchen was big with high counter tops and lots of fridge space.
Cons: I like the space. If people are looking for hot showers or big rooms or close to busy nightlife you'd want something else. Tamarindo boats end at 5 pm so you need to come back early. The rooms have a great bed, though need small bags to fit in the room. If looking for a simple place to rejuvenate by the beach for a couple days- it's great.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: definitely unique. super clean. loved the location. the beach is just 100 feet away! Felipe was very helpful!
Cons: beds could be more comfortable, but I still slept great!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We went to the recommended cafe mar laz and it tasted good.
Cons: We wish the place has hot shower!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Felipe is super friendly and available to help you with anything The structure is clean Position AMAZING right on the beach
Cons: Nothing really.. the pipes are quite small but they are worth the experience
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This unique property is superbly located on gorgeous private beach. Both the staff and the facilities exceed expectations. Highly recommended
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Extremely close to the beach! Basically a stone's throw from Playa Grande. Lovely sunsets, lots of beach relaxing It was easier than expected to cross the estuary to Tamarindo - just get a water taxi at the mouth of the river (about a 10 minute walk from the hotel). Layout of the hotel was super unique and very cute! All of the rooms were centered around the kitchen/communal area. Tons of nature right within the hotel itself, as it's located very close to the national park! Howler monkeys like to swing by every morning, and I saw parrots flying through the courtyard. At night, land crabs are everywhere (they especially like to scare people in the bathrooms). I also caught a glimpse of a coati in the kitchen at night, looking for food! Air conditioning was super cold, which I definitely needed. Hotel owner Felipe was very happy to help with any questions. While I didn't need it this time, I believe he can help with surfing lessons, nature tours, and other excursions in the area.
Cons: There's basically not a lot of places to get food or buy groceries in the area. I walked 40 minutes to the nearest mini mart (not knowing that I could have just taken the water taxi to Tamarindo). I ended up going over to Tamarindo for basically everything - lunch, water, sending postcards, souvenirs. There are no private bathrooms at this property - they're all shared, so just something to keep in mind, especially during Covid times. As expected, sand tends to get everywhere, including in your room, no matter how you try to keep it out. There is really not a lot of space to store luggage in your room. I was traveling with a carry-on only, and it was a bit annoying to have to drag out my luggage from under the bed, place it on my bed to get stuff out, and then slide it back in. I wish the curtains were a bit more light and sound proof. Lock on the door was very janky and I had to spend a lot of time fiddling with it to make it lock. As it was pretty remote, to be totally honest, I just left my door unlocked and open, as I didn't have much with me anyhow.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved the shared areas in pipe house, we felt so at home and relaxed. Especially in the hammocks!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything! The place is incredible, we felt like like in paradise. The concept of pipehouse is really original. The facilities were perfect : a gym, a kitchen and nice hammocks. The location, a bit difficult to access is great if you have a car. It's also really closed to the beach, which was not as crowded as in Tamarindo, would recommend if you prefer a quiet place to relax ☺️ The Wi-Fi is also great for working remote!
Cons: The surf boards were not easy and in good quality to be used.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Awesome hotel right on the beach near the mouth of the river between Playa Grande and Tamarindo. Quiet and peaceful but close enough to walk into town for anything you need. The owners and hotel staff were super friendly and the breakfast was fantastic every day.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Fab location right on beach..lovely owners and wonderful breakfast
Cons: Room very basic .. could not tell from their pics.. bed comfortable which made it workable.. but worst storage space ever seen which could b easily upgraded.. however turned out to b minor issue..we managed and otherwise loved place..
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Oliver and his wife are amazing hosts! The breakfast is a treat, and the location cannot be beat. Low-key, relaxed vibe
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Alexia and Olivie` who run the place treat the guests as if we are their family!! They are the most accommodating management we have ever dealt with. Without them this place would just be "OK" but they make it very special.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: close to the beach
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The hosts were super nice and helpful. The garden setting was perfect and the breakfast menu was unique and catered to your taste. Alexandria - the owner - is the chef and uses only the top ingredients to make you a variety of a la carte dishes for breakfast. The service is great and just lovely vibe all around. The room is basic but extremely clean.
Cons: We wanted some place quite on the beach so this worked well for us. But it is a 10 min walk to where the life of town is. So, chose accordingly. The room we got did not have a safe.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff and owners are incredible. Breakfast awesome. Rooms comfortable and clean.
Cons: Morning coffee could be hotter.
Good 7.0
Pros: The location
Cons: The pool location

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff and Location
Cons: limited parking, but that is not the fault of the hotel. The city does not have ample parking for the amount of traffic.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Perfect location. The beach was basically on the backyard
Cons: Little. I took a room with ocean view, but the view was through a little window. Other rooms got a large window
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All was very clean, very good, thank you for a wonderful stay
Cons: All was very perfect. Thank T.J.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: You cannot get a better spot closer to the water for a better price. You will not find better service. I was greeted with a shot for my wife. Coffee and pastry in the morning. You can walk pretty much anywhere in Tamarindo from this location. Recommend it 10x more than any other spot and I've tried many.
Cons: I liked everything.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect! We really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Perfect location to stay in tamarindo.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The kitchen is pretty useful, the pool was clean, room was comfty, the shower, everything. I would totally stay there again.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Nice small pool. Good for spending the night on a work travel or if you come with your family.
Cons: Parking is too tight, no space for maneuvering.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was excellent. I love the design of the bathroom
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very attentive host and staff. Beautiful place.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Rooms were spacious, the king bed was very comfortable, bathroom very modern and cool with the shower and open ceiling(with screen) on one end. Fridge was spacious and worked well, as did the A/C. They made up the room each day and always made sure you had enough towels. They even provided wash clothes - pretty uncommon for most places. Grounds are beautiful and the shared outdoor kitchen is super - we cooked breakfast every morning. The owners are wonderful and very accommodating, good English spoken. We would definitely go back to this place again.
Cons: Would have been nice to have an extra chair on our little patio (1 chair was provided, and one stool). The pool was quite cloudy at the time but they were working on it.
Poor 1.0
Pros: No hot water, ants everywhere, headboard fell off, no toilet paper
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very comfortable clean and quiet. Nice pool and area to relax.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: The room was minimalistic, comfortable and modern with balcony over looking the tennis court. The location was back from main road but very quiet and discreet. The staff were lovely and owners very engaging with the grounds in a secure gated compound. Had reasonably OK Surf & Body boards you could use for free with a 3 minute walk to the beach.
Cons: The shower pressure in the room could of been better and they could benefit their guest by supplying a kettle to make tea and coffee with.
Good 6.0
Pros: Nice tennis courts Close to the beach
Cons: Very unfriendly staff, never smiles ! (Except the owner who is very nice) Room ok (clean room, efficient AC) but not great (basic furniture et décoration, old tv, no bathtub) for a 4 stars hotel charging 140 usd / night. Little choice and quantity regarding breakfast Tiny pool
Excellent 8.8
Pros: We loved everything about the tranquility and design of the hotel. Loved loved loved the staff. Bed and pillows were great 😊
Cons: Would have liked better water pressure in the shower.
Good 7.5
Pros: Nice big terrace
Cons: Kinda pricey but that’s Tamarindo
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great breakfast, free tennis, location less than 5 minute walk to the beach & good restaurants. Was nice to have a dip in the pool at the end of the day!
Cons: Everything was good, would be nice to have a slightly larger fridge in the room, maybe a coffee maker?
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The staff were very kind and always available to respond to our questions. The room was clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. It was a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Some minor repairs were needed but nothing that affected our stay,
Excellent 8.3
Pros: 15 Love was in a great location - short walk to the main street and then the beach. It's in a pretty quiet area, which I liked. The staff were lovely and kind and the breakfast was delicious. The room was super clean and well-kept. I even got to see (and hear!) a tree full of howler monkeys on my last morning there, which was pretty neat.
Cons: The pool location is somewhat awkward and it felt weird to use it, so I skipped out and stuck with the beach.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Breakfast was superb! Service was great.
Good 7.3
Pros: The staff was very nice and the pool area pretty chill
Cons: The B&B is located on a back street (dirt road) which is pretty creepy by night. I was told it was ok but I didn't feel ok walking after dark there. The room was nice but some of the finishing were not well done (holes where bugs crawled under)

Good 7.0
Pros: the location is pretty good cause the place is just by the sea, five minutes walking from the closest super market and only ten minutes walking from the center. the place is nice with a cool open space in the front were it’s pleasant to chill, it’s comfortable and clean and the gallo pinto of the breakfast is very tasty.
Cons: it’s not a hostel, there’s only one dorm and the general vibe is more like an hotel one, which is ok but not if you’re expecting an hostel atmosphere, cause you’re not gonna find it over here. I think it would be the perfect accommodation for a couple that want to meet someone but having their spaces. the breakfast is really good and it would be perfect if they add something sweet apart from fruits. the only thing that I really didn’t like and that annoyed me was that at night there’s no control of the situation so people are often staying in the outside part to party. it was ok to me cause I wanted to do the same sometimes, but one night some guys took the keys of my room and were entering into the dorm (where they were not sleeping) to use the bathroom multiple times and it was like 1 am. in the end I had to argue with this people, so it would have been nice if someone from the staff was there at least to not letting them take the room’s keys from the reception.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Had such a great time there! The best hostel I've stayed in Costa Rica. The room was cleaned everyday, the staff was super friendly and helped me figure my way to Nicaragua. I would watch the sunset at the beach everyday, such a treat!
Mediocre 3.0
Cons: Rooms are in the middle of common areas , next to the kitchen , breakfast room etc , people can't rest , all the noise and voices from the people around stay in the rooms
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, perfect quiet location close to the beach, delicious breakfast, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, cosy common areas , lovely balcony with rocking chairs. One of the best hostels I ever stayed at. Thank you very much Casa Aura team :)
Cons: -
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Comfy beds.
Cons: Small. Mostly private rooms, 1 dorm. Leaning towards hotel feel. Not very social
Good 7.0
Pros: Great staff, always nice and helpful Very clean (daily cleaning) Good breakfast Straight at the beach
Cons: Very few people to meet Last hostel on the road however you can reach everything in 10-15 minutes walking Somewhat price, however more than normal for tamarindo

Excellent 9.0
Pros: near the beach, good food, comfy bed
Cons: you can hear everything from other guests, no walls /soundproofing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: good location and friendly people :)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Bed was comfortable Location was good. The main break and village of playa grande is 20 minutes walking away but there is a good, uncrowded wave right in front and it is closeby the rivercross to Tamarindo Onsite restaurant was really good Clean Air-conditioning was nice
Cons: The aircon rooms are dark with no terrace to sit outside or in the room
Good 6.0
Pros: Perfect location, very close to the beatiful beach. Excellent for surfing, waves for beginners. Also surfing equipment for rent available, good surfing lessons. We took a lesson and were very happy with it.
Cons: There was constant noise from the kitchen in our room, probably some big fridge or fan behind the paper wall. Dirty dishes in the common area and dead crabs in the pool.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Just a few minutes walk from the beach, the huts are surrounded by the sounds of the jungle animals. The staff is incredible friendly and helpful. I met some amazing locals and other travellers. The restaurant Mar Azul organizes live music sessions in the evening. There are some other very good restaurants to find nearby. It’s a beautiful and calm place for those looking to find pura vida 🤟
Cons: Arrange your transport on arrival as it is a bit of a walk from Tamarindo bus stop (with luggage).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was the perfect escape. Great staff, great access to the beach and surrounding bars and restaurants but not in the madness of a loud scene. I would recommend to anyone who wants to experience the Pura Vida :)
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was perfect. Just a few steps to the beach. Upon arrival they immediately showed us to our rooms and went over amenities. They have a full kitchen stocked with cookware.
Cons: No shopping centers in the area. Make sure you stock up on food and drinks before you arrive.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Trace who is working there, is lovely. The commun areas are always clean, she cleans all the time
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Playa Grande is only a few minutes walk away from the hotel. The staff is nice.
Cons: The AC was pretty loud (I think it was old) and it was loud sometimes.

Good 7.0
Pros: Great location, excellent value for the price.
Cons: It is not a Bed & Breakfast, there is no breakfast. The shower did not work very well.
Good 7.0
Pros: We enjoyed our stay at Tuanis, Viviana was a great host. The space was clean, conveniently located to all the restaurants, steps from the beach, and has a nice sitting area just outside of the rooms. The wifi was decent. No hot water, but with the humidity the cool water was a treat. The space is not ideal for long stays, though we stayed for one week, there’s no tv or space to cook. We’d definitely stay again but only for a weekend. Viviana works at the store just below, so she was always available during the day and was quick to respond to messages even after hours.
Cons: Do note that there are ants so be sure to not keep food out in the open, but there is a fridge available. Though this says bed & breakfast, breakfast was not served, most likely due to the pandemic. To get to the rooms you must climb a flight of narrow spiral steps, not as easy if you have a big bags.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff was wonderful. Location pretty much on the beach and center of town. Daily breakfasts were very convenient with wonderful fruit and eggs or pancake options. The room was large with everything you'll need. This is a great place to hit the beach or enjoy the town 2 minutes from your room.
Cons: My room was at the end and closest to the beach (#3). The room was a little dark. With some strong gusts, there was dust and small debris blown into the room, I believe from small open gaps between the roof and exterior walls. Just a small nusance to dust off the bed before lying on it.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location was great, though very noisy. It was wonderful to be so close to the beach. The breakfast was great and the place had a nice vibe. It was close to a whole range of good restaurants.
Cons: We arrived on a Friday afternoon, which seems to be the noisiest day! Lots of street noise. But it was better after that.
Good 7.5
Pros: Great location to the beach
Cons: A little noisy but that comes with the territory of being close to the beach.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Central location. We didn't rent a car, so being very close to the beach was very helpful. Walking distance to souvenir and art shops, grocery stores, tour companies and a great choice of restaurants. Breakfast was typical, freshly made and delicious!. Veranda seating good for relaxing. Excellent service! Wifi was very good and the air conditioning in our room was greatly appreciated. Vivian went out of her way to assist us with anything we needed.
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: Breakfast was really good.
Cons: With the AC on, the temperature inside the room remained at 35 degrees Celsius. It was unbearable. I asked for a fan which helped a little. It is directly on the main road, and with the building being comprised of a tin roof, and walls with no insulation, there was constant noise from either music, or road traffic. Also, the lighting in the room needs improvement. A ceiling fan with a light would be a good idea. I definitely will not be back here, sorry.
Good 7.1
Pros: Clean room and spacious. Hot water all the time. Very good wifi connexion in the room.
Cons: Very noisy, but I guess it come from the fact that it’s located directly on the beach and on the main street.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great Hotel great view great breakfast
Cons: Even though everything was great there was a group of Guatemalans that had a party next door until 2:30 in the morning screaming and yelling I told her staff but apparently the noise didn't stop other than that it's a pretty damn good hotel just have to adapt to the weird Dusty Street on the way to get there
Good 6.0
Pros: We liked the view form the hotel, food, cleanless, staff and pool, the rooms are nice and showers are delicious.
Cons: We didn't like that we booked a one queen bed room online, but when we arrived there was no rooms with it. So we got a double single room, which was not what we paid for. Also, there is construction materials all around the hotel. There was not always room in the parking lot for our car.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: TH VIEW
Cons: WE COULD HEAR THE COUPLE NEXT TO OUR ROOM HAVING SEX, MAKING NOISES AND SINGING OUT LOUD.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: View great. Pretty pool.
Cons: No daily towels (no bed making in morning, no wash clothes available at all) in washroom unless you request daily cleaning at checkin. We were not informed of this requirement when we checked in. After the first day, we called the front desk and they replaced the towels. However did not tell me that I had to arrange for daily towels, etc. At the front desk. Mini-fridge had not been defrosted for months. The first room provided had no table lamps and other light had a missing bulb. No printed menus available for restaurant or room service. Only scan QR code for menu, if you own a smart phone. So unable to order any food at hotel.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location was good but they did building renovations and I had the feeling I booked a construction site and not a hotel. Noisy from 7.30 in the morning plus very dusty when they were grinding the paint off the walls The breakfast was fairly lean compared with other places in the world at that hotel rating Wifi was extremely poor, got disconnected all the time, many times in the middle of conversations
Cons: See above
Okay 5.0
Pros: - Great view - Nice spacious balcony - Amazing pool - Convenient parking - Wristbands were good quality - Access to Langosta Beach Club was a bonus - AC was good - Food room service was good
Cons: - Not great value for price - Towels and bedsheets were dirty - When requested the sheets to be changed (communicated to front desk, sheets were not changed until second request) - Shower head wasn’t working properly, water came out so sharp it hurt and temperature was hard to control - Pricey pool bar, happy hour made it better but was never communicated or advertised - King bed was just two singles pushed together (really uncomfortable for a couple) - TV didn’t have Smart TV but other rooms did (no Netflix or streaming apps) - Charge for shuttle to beach, short pathway to beach is unpaved and difficult to climb, alternative path is a 20 minute walk or around 1.4 km - Coffee maker water container was dirty
Excellent 10.0
Pros: amazing views of the beach and the staff was incredible and very accommodating. It was also a great surprise when I found out the stay at the Wyndham Tamarindo also included access to the Langosta Beach Club (it didn’t include gym access)
Cons: it was a little distance from the beach but the hotel provided hotel shuttle to and from the beach from 9am-7pm.
Okay 5.9
The hotel is being renovated
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The pool, pool bar and the view are great.
Cons: My room had two burnt out bulbs. The bathroom had no counter top to put my toiletries. The room was very plain and did not hav a warm and cozy feel. I was told the breakfast started at 7. I went right at 7 because I had to get on the road for a 8am appointment, the waiter told me breakfast was at 7:30. so i waited thinking I will could grab a quick bite and go. When they finally opened the buffet, all of a sudden 20 people showed up and stood in line. I didn’t get my breakfast until 7:50. The breakfast was good, I just wish I was told of the 7:30 start so I could have planned my morning meeting accordingly.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Nice view, nice staff, away from the huzzle of town, beautiful facility, shuttle to town very reliable
Cons: Music at the pool
Excellent 8.8
Hotel on top of hill not visible from street, cab driver had trouble finding hotel! need sign at cross street! Had a glass of red wine terrible for the price! Better choices from Chile!
Good 7.1
Cons: Maintenance service, on the day my family checked in the room my children selected in had a leaking AC and hazardous. I called the lobby and asked if they can fix it, they said yes and it will be done by tomorrow. Second day, after coming back from activities the AC was the still leaking. I called again and notified them that the ac was still leaking, they told me they were sorry and will get it done by tomorrow. Third day came in and after coming back at 7pm it was still leaking. I personally went up to the front desk and complained that NOTHING done. They said once again said they're sorry and will get it done by tomorrow for sure or get another room. It was too late for my kids to switch rooms so I waited till the next day. Fourth day rules in, me and my kids walk in the room after 5 PM to see if anything is done. We end up finding the AC machine removed and left on the ground with dust all over the floor, now the room offiacly doesn't have enough ac. I had enough I ended up switching my kids room. Now instead of them only being 2 rooms starts they ended up on the other side of the building

Excellent 10.0
Pros: location, pool, beach, hotel staff, accommodations
Good 6.0
Pros: Good location in Tamarindo, service is good and we enjoyed the beach chairs in the lawn however using one on the beach is not included.
Cons: Most of the hotel isn’t beachfront, but rather across the street in its own complex. Make sure to pay close attention to which you book. Rooms are also on the small side but overall OK
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Perfect location with all the necessities.
Cons: The room we stayed this time was pretty far from the entrance and no other exit on the far end made it difficult to go in and out frequently. also the door to the pool was not accessible with our room key and had to go to the front 4 times to get it fixed but never did get fixed. I would expect after the second time the stuff to use the key at the location and just make sure it works before making the customer walk back and forth so much distance.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location was excellent and loved being able to sit outside on the beach and access to the beach.
Cons: I didn't like the construction and painting right outside my room. I didn't like the workers looking in my room from the other room on the deck. Very rude, in my opinion.
Good 7.0
Pros: To be on the beach is amazing. The pools are very good and there is easy access to the small town of Tamarindo with lots a nice shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. It is a very relaxing place to stay.
Cons: If you don’t have a beach view room you are over the road which we didn’t expect. There is a great pool that side so it’s not all bad! The rooms are a little tired and the food in the hotel is average, you can get much better food in town for the same price.
Good 7.0
Pros: I liked the location on the beach, in the heart of Tamarindo. If you want to stay in Tamarindo (as opposed to Playa Langosta for example), then this is probably the place.
Cons: I booked a king room on booking.com. Got a double. Was told bed size was not guaranteed. I showed them my reservation, which said king room, which cost more than a double, and said nothing about not being guaranteed. I showed them booking.com "live" which showed the same thing. They claimed not to know why booking.com showed what it did. They stuck to their story, which I thought was crazy. Started with bad experience. Generally, I thought the hotel was nice, but not great.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The food and staff were GREAT! Our room was clean and spacious, the safe gave us no problems and the location was amazing. There was construction during our stay but you could barely tell unless you were in the middle of It. I would hands down stay again.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: We loved the location, surfing, tour organizing, pools
Cons: Kids club would be great
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Resort was very nice and in a great location. Room was clean and right on the beach. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
Cons: No guests are allowed in rooms.
Excellent 10.0
Cons: Great Location
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Location, location ,location Food was great
Cons: A/c was very weak even after staff adjusted it. Beds outdated
Good 6.0
Cons: Front desk staff was not friendly and did not try to be accommodating to family traveling together. We had booked two rooms but was given two rooms that were on opposite ends of the resort.
Good 7.7
Pros: The location was great, the facilities were mostly cleaned (except for the one item I'll address in the next section), the staff was fairly helpful and we always felt secure.
Cons: About half of the breakfast items were uncovered so flies were constantly around or on the fruits and pastries. They clearly put a lot of effort into the morning preparation so I don't understand why they would leave so much of it uncovered. The hotel restaurant was pretty bad. The free breakfasts were good (except for the flies) but the lunches and dinners were very poor. The menu looks great but the actual food itself seemed very low quality. Luckily the hotel is surrounded by good restaurants so the poor hotel restaurant was not a huge issue for us.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Felling of being safe and close to beach
Cons: Nothing
Okay 5.4
Pros: Location is perhaps the most convenient in Tamarindo, the outdoor facilities by the beach are pretty ay-ok
Cons: The staff wasn't very accommodating / helpful. The king suite with balcony -- which seemed to be the nicest room available -- was mediocre. Quite a boring hotel experience overall for $250/night.
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Everything was excellent but the food, which was just ok - except the fresh Red Snapper we caught off shore that the hotel chef prepared Casado style. Clearly the highlight resort facility at Tamarindo, the staff was prompt, courteous, and attentive. We found excellent food an easy walk away, both beachfront brew house, fish shack, sushi, and high end seafood.
Cons: The complimentary breakfast and beach front bar food were average.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Excellent location, access to beach, pools, included breakfast
Cons: Extremely loud and weak air conditioner. Terrible shower with extremely weak water pressure.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: You get a little bit of beach and a little bit resort and a little bit local town, all in one great, compact resort...though it is not small by any means. Great breakfast!
Cons: Nope. Liked it all a great deal.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: I think this is the best value in Tamarindo, gorgeous property, amazing food, the staff is very accommodating and I'll definitely be returning.
Good 7.0
Cons: tv didn't work
Okay 4.0
Pros: the owner was a nice woman
Cons: the pictures are taken in a way you think it is very big and it is not! the fridge was very unclean it was above a restaurant and we had all the smell in the bedroom their was no brush for the bathroom the place is lacking good care
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Right next to the beach with a great bar and restaurant at the hotel
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location
Cons: Yes
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Basic amenities in the room, but nice restaurant in the hotel. Staff very helpful and nice.
Good 7.0
Pros: The bed was big and comfortable, there was a nice relaxing area/ small terrace in front of the room. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The garden was very nice, with some cute animals like squirrels hanging around the garden as well as a lovley cat
Cons: The bathroom and shower had mold and the towels we got were awfully old and uncomfortable. No shower soap, just the basic small soap bars packed in plastic. The ocean view is basically garden and restaurant view, the ocean is barley visible way in the background. I liked the music in the hotel restaurant but it was quite loud and was on all the time until 9 pm. I think the hotel is overpriced, even for Tamarindo, it's not best value for money
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Friendly Staff Nice Garden Next to the Beach
Cons: No Window in the bathroom
Mediocre 2.0
Cons: This review is not of the hotel conditions but in the attitude of the management and staff. After having our original trip canceled we rerouted to Liberia and booked three night at this hotel in the morning on a thursday. Five hours later (that same day) our flight was cancelled. The staff and management were unwilling to refund our money, even for the second and third night citing the policy that reservations must be cancelled 72 hours in advance. I felt that given the extenuating circumstances that a partial refund would have been a reasonable compromise. The take away message is not to book in advance on the day of arrival but just risk it.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I liked that they were very helpful
Cons: The beaches are not so beautiful

Pros: location close to store restaraunts
Cons: it was in a big remodelación ! they could tell you ahead of time….
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The rooms and the staff
Cons: Nothing
Good 7.0
Pros: View, location, breakfast
Cons: There is no lobby
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved the location and breakfast!
Cons: The pool could be cleaned more often and the beds could have been more comfortable.
Excellent 9.6
Great place to stay on your vacation in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. It is centrally located within walking distance to downtown. Very clean, beautiful property and friendly staff.
Mediocre 3.1
Cons: We had a room right by pool. We were assured the pool would be closed at 10:00 pm. People kept us up until 3:00 am. A few hours later it was loud people outside the door and shortly thereafter were cleaning ladies with trash cans making their rounds. It was horrible. I didn't stay the other two nights I booked and was told they weren't responsible for returns since I purchased with a third party. When my third party tried to reach them, they didn't answer all day.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: I really liked the location of the hotel, even though it wasn't directly on the beach. But it was right in front, less than a 10 minute walk!! The pool area has a beautiful view of the beach to relax and enjoy. The reception office is a bit of a walk to get to but they are all helpful. They gave me advice regarding traveling by bus. The room is nicely decorated and the shower is pretty big! The bed was a tad small but overall great room.
Cons: I didn't like that you couldn't order room service, or I did not know how. I also didn't like the size of the bed but I understand I booked by third party so bed type isn't guaranteed.
Good 6.2
Pros: Location location location close to nice Tamarindo beach! Staff was cordial and rooms were decent with the breakfast reasonable.
Cons: Very Noisy adults only type party at bar on Friday night- could not sleep till past 2.15! Not what I had bargained for when booking the place. Facilities are ok- you get what you pay for.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Really good value for the money. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are generally fairly charming. Convenient, decent little view of the water from the restaurant pool area. The room was fully adequate. Housekeeping was good. When I requested an ironing board it came very promptly. Not right in town but a very short walk from the beach. Good restaurants within easy walking distance either way down the road. Bar serves plenty of beer and fine drinks.
Cons: The rooms and overall grounds are a bit tired and dated. This isn't a high-end luxury experience. The bar/pool/restaurant are equally sort of mid-range. Nothing wrong with them, but not swanky or particularly nice. The restaurant/bar is called Crazy Monkey... that should give you a notion. Just need to have appropriate expectations.
