Location can't be beat, pool is nicer than embassy across street. Valet service is also way better than embassy....that's what I pay more for. AC never gets real cold for me...I stay here a lot when I attend hockey games...I always stay here or embassy across the street. I've been choosing Marriott because the valet for embassy is a zoo and takes forever when you try and leave in the morning but if Marriott doesn't fix their AC I'm gonna have to find something else.
Good location and customer service
they have just about all you need on site pool side bar, lobby bar, sports bar and grill that was able to get our home town games for us, upscale 4 star restaurant and an excellent spa... we went to Florida to hit the beech and found our selves struggling to find a reason to leave our hotel spa services were amazing cant say enough about the experience, do yourself a solid and book a message. no on site parking you are forced to valet your car for 24$ a day and neither our booking site nor the mariot site see it fit to mention that... that said the valet service was good and we never had to wait long for our car

The Hotel staff was amazing.. Very polite and made sure our stay was as comfortable and easy going as possible. The room was also amazing!!! Very spacious and clean and very comfortable beds.. I loved my stay at the Hilton and will be making this hotel chain my #1 choice when vacationing. I loved everything!!
I was in town for a concert at the Amalie Arena and didn't want to drive back to my home on the east Florida coast the same night. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the room was great. I would stay there again. The usual downsides to a downtown hotel, like having to pay a lot for parking and no spots available in the valet lot. Also, the only way I could find to get from the part of the 3rd floor where the catwalk from the garage/City of Tampa building and the conference rooms were was to go down the escalator to the lobby and then take a second set of elevators to the guest rooms (I was on the 8th floor).
Going from Denver to Tampa in December what is an important factor to a three day stay? Swimming in a heated outdoor pool as shown on the Westin website. We arrived on the third floor in our suits ready to swim only to find out the pool was under construction. The hotel claims the third party we booked with should have told us, they didn't. Neither did the front desk when we checked in. Very disappointed!
The place wasn't clean, even after we complained the next day coffee stains were left on counter, a dirty glass with lipstick was just put on shelf. Also the plumbing was loud. There's no soundproofing, we could hear the person snoring in the next room. The manager did give us free breakfast which was nice but if I hadn't prepaid I'd have moved
Upscale, clean, friendly staff. Nothing was included. Had to pay an outrageous amount per day to park, internet was also a fee (two days with that fee is what I pay for a month of internet at home). I expected normal mark-ups for food and drinks but to pay that much for simple amenities which should be free was ridiculous. But I guess it was my fault for not checking on that; I've just never stayed at a hotel where that stuff wasn't included.. especially for the price of this hotel.
Location is fantastic. Great views. Not a heavenly bed at all. I remember what those beds are like and this was not it. It felt like a thin mattress. The carpet had large stains in a couple of areas.
The place was nice and weather was beautiful. Hotel room was spacious and clean. The view was wonderful and we didn't turn on the TV once because of the view and watching the cruise ships leave the harbor. Who doesn't have coffee downstairs?
Clean with the usual Westin standard amenities. The staff was mediocre at best, making you feel unimportant. This was a festival weekend but they allowed themselves to be lazy instead of working extra hard to please the customer. No attempt to accommodate room requests. Seemed like they hired temps from the holiday inn or something.
I had a short stay. The price was the main factor in my choice and the location near a conference at the Marriott. The view was very pleasant. I did not use any of the facilities so could not really rate this item. I suggest having a box NA for this circumstance. The mattresses are very soft. My experience is that good mattresses and hotel mattresses are firm. No vending machines on the floors. Water flow in the sink was very low. Shower produced huge volume, which wastes too much water. I suggest low flow shower heads, but it may be that guests like using floods of water when it's not their own. The cable TV lost the satellite connection, possibly due to a thunderstorm at that time.
Looks very beautiful in common areas Lots of money for what you get and you have to pay extra to park which isn't included anywhere when you sign up as well as pay for wifi
great location, we went to the hockey game...couldn't have stayed closer!! it was perfect pillows were awful, room near elevator very noisy all night long could hear elevators

Excellent location and friendly staff. Well maintained facility and very nice rooms. Embassy Suites offers good value for our money and we recommend them highly. This hotel has great views of the channel and river. The river walk was super and lots of entertainment and good restaurants nearby. Only issue was a peculiar rumbling noise when we showered. Seemed like the hot water heater/ plumbing was struggling although we had no problem.
It was so great to be able to walk to the tcc, the Forum and even Channelside wasn't that far. The free happy hour is nice if you don't mind waiting in line. The nightclub Jackson's Bistro played their music sooooo loud and it kept me up til past 2am! It sounded like a street parade with people banging on drums outside my windows. The bass drum was ridiculous. Not even pillows over my head helped. I was very mad because I had to wake up at 4:30am for my flight. I did not like that there was no option to self-park either and that it was $20 per night to park the car. Lame!
The woman who checked us in didn't seem to know what she was doing, but tried acting like she did. She charged our card for $489. When I told her we booked the room for $299 she said, "whatever I have on my computer is what you booked it for". I had to go back later that evening to have someone else adjust it. He was very friendly and saw that it was their mistake within seconds.

Very bad customer service. Reserved a room with king bed and got one with 2 full beds instead. I paid extra for the one king bed. Nothing they can do.
The Valet staff was professional and very good. The suite was a good size. There was a complimentary breakfast in the morning. I was completely unimpressed with the hotel. The suite was clean but a hodgepodge of stuff. The furniture in the suite was to big, very hard and uncomfortable, it was like you where sitting on 2x4's. The layout of the furniture in the suite and the suite itself was not well thought out. It was like the pieces of furniture where left overs and just thrown in the suite. The work table was severely lopsided and wobbly, the internet wire was broken. The shower curtain was installed so poorly that it actually hung on you as you took a shower and kept sliding open as it was not level at all. I stayed in this hotel expecting a room with some kind of semi nice water view, which only existed via a not very practical side window in the bedroom. The suite was not comfortable in any way.
The room was shabby and the shower didn't work right. The bed was saggy. The public restroom closest to my meetings had only one functional sink and one functional soap dispenser the entire 3 days I was there. The cleaning lady that serviced that restroom put the toilet bowl brush on the sink! Even with the deal I got through booking.com, the $ they ask for that place is outrageous. The restaurant was mediocre. Nice location. The free wifi was nice, but expensive to pay $18/day on top of the expensive room rate.
I only stayed one night so I cant comment on all the facilities beds were comfortable Valet only parking. Expensive

The staff was always very friendly, no matter who you dealt with. The hotel was clean, well staffed, efficient and quiet.
The Reception Staff were extremely helpful, let me have access to my Room from 0945 hrs on the first day and let me keep my Room until 1400 hrs on day of departure. Also it is very easy to walk to the middle of Tampa. If at all possible book a river view room (not much more $20 a night extra) these I think would have less road noise.
View Bathroom seemed dirty with mildew
The club level rooms with river view are gorgeous! Located in between two bridges that light up and right in the middle of River Walk, it is a great stay. The club lounge has breakfast in the morning (eggs, grits, bacon, sausage) and snacks throughout the day. Bottles of water and soda cans available too.
Mold was actually dripping from bathroom ceiling. Phones did not work. Vending machine on floor did not work. Was charged for valet twice. Great other than that...
Great hotel staff, the rooms were comfortable and great location to downtown Tampa, airport and port.
Easy Check in Wouldn't give me the points as booked through kayak :( There night time Bell Staff was just loitering using the facebook on the computers in the Lobby. Not a very good look for the company. He seemed to not care about his job at all.
The hotel keept us in good shape, as we had to climbe the stairs up to 6 floor ( the elevators were not running... ) And if you try to get some sleep, try a diffrent hotel, cause young guest of this hotel know how to party ..
