Pros: Beautiful hacienda, nicely renovated, good place to stay also if you plan to visit Uxmal. Great food at the restaurant on the hacienda. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Pros: Beautiful, authentic Hacienda in a fantastic location
Cons: The final price did was higher than the booking price as taxes were not included, nor a service fee imposed by the hotel. We were negatively surprised by how much higher the final price was and this was our only disappointment with the Hacienda. Pricing should be more transparent in the booking price!
Pros: We loved the authenticity of the place and the link with its agricultural past
Cons: They Should upgrade the quality of the alcohol in the bar...the top tequila ok the menu was not available
Pros: This hotel was a slice of luxury close to Merida. We stayed here as part of a tour of Mexico during a two week holiday. We had visited Mexico City, Oaxaca then here before Izamal, Valladolid and Tulum and it was truly special. It’s in the middle of two small towns and in the heart of a forest so the wildlife you see and hear is fantastic. The service is exceptional and the food was fantastic. The building and he fact it’s an old working hacienda blew us away, at every corner there is something to look at. We had a walking tour and bird watching with Robert who is of Mayan decent and this was fascinating, Marvin helped arranged this and a cake for my husbands birthday and we received first class service in the restaurant. Little touches like the candles being lit when you come back to your room I loved! The room itself was huge and retained some fantastic characteristics. I will stay here again I will make sure of it and I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling through the Yucatán...it’s a must see!
Pros: We especially enjoyed the hand-drawn hot tub/bath just outside of our room. Also the staff in the restaurant were especially nice and gave me a free dessert because it was my birthday! Very sweet!
Cons: There could have been more pipian sauce on the chicken pipian.
Pros: Great hotel in an amazing surrounding
Pros: Staff was very friendly
Cons: They were setting up for a wedding which distracted from the experience.
Pros: The property is an old peaceful hacienda, which has been adapted and remodel to create a hotel. It is surrounded by nature and you could hear the birds singing in the morning. The rooms are big, the bathroom is huge, and it has its own private small pool. The decoration is nice, with attention to details. The pool is big. The massages are good.
Cons: The price for the stay, the spa, and for the food in the property is very expensive. Considering the location, which is a property surrounded by nature, the room has a lot of insects. There are small cracks in the borders of doors and windows that allow insects to crawl into the room. The food quality could improve, there were some dishes that were on the menu but were not available when ordering. There was a lot of dust in the room. The internet signal was very poor throughout the property.

A balcony is among the standard features of some rooms. Other features include a telephone, a TV and WiFi. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. A wellness area with massage treatments is available at the hotel. Meals The dining area includes a restaurant and a bar. A fortifying breakfast is served daily.
Pros: Location, garden, free parking, breakfast.
Cons: Room was big, but outdated furniture and bathroom very old. Too hot water in shower, floor was totally dirty, ventilation fan wasn’t working, staff was unfriendly and they don’t speak English even a word. For that price they should get you much more. Not value for money at all. 5 stars just on pictures.
Pros: This place is a must stay: easy location by car closed to major highways and regional activities, charming old-style hacienda and bedrooms, delicious breakfast and food with high quality selection of products. The hosts are extremely nice and pay attention to any detail such that you feel at home. Highly recommended. We will be back definitely.
Pros: A charming little Hacienda in a small village. Very quiet environments. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were very spacious and nicely renovated.
Pros: After visiting very touristic places it was nice to get to meet people in a more authentic way. This place is managed by a family and it gives a personal touch. Good to be able to eat on the premises as otherwise you need to take the car to go for dinner. Convenient place in between Merida and Uxmal.
Pros: Staff and farm
Pros: comfortable bed, wonderful veranda with rocking chair, constant daytime bird song, peace, very helpful and charming owners, being able to wander around.
Cons: It didn’t bother us but there is no fridge and no safe. you almost certainly don’t need a safe but if it is important to you there isn’t one in the room.
Pros: The peaceful environment and the friendly staff
Cons: The variety of food
Pros: Owner is very helpfull and makes great Breakfast at the beach
Pros: Loved the pool and the area, very calming in the middle of a lot of green. Green sitting at the veranda with a wine and enjoying the calm wind and each others company. We had the deluxa room which very spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was simple but good. Dinner not super.
Pros: Quite a unique place and very peaceful. The food at the restaurant is great too!
Cons: Very expensive
With a stay at Hacienda Viva Sotuta de Peón in Timucuy, you'll be in the suburbs, and 20.4 mi (32.9 km) from Paseo de Montejo and 19.9 mi (32 km) from Mérida Cathedral. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: agava filds, nature placement of the hacienda, peace, calme and no music-great, museum of sisal, ceonta ,
Cons: missing place outside restaurant to sit down and have a drink outside , but there was some arround the swimming pool
Pros: We enjoyed it a lot, it is a beautiful quiet place (maybe too quite at the evening, a bar would be great for having a drink when there is nothing else to do...) The Museum of the Sisal industry in Yucatán and the tour are great! The pool and premises very good. (Service at the pool almost non existent, by the way...)
Cons: The only thing that upset me was that the fare accorded with booking was not the last price, they added taxes at the hotel for about 18%. It wasn¨t clear my reservation didn´t include theese.
Pros: We enjoyed the tour and learned a lot about the history of Sisal production and the life in the hacienda at these times. We enjoyed the swim in the cenote (we were the only ones as our tour had only 4 people). The evening meal was included and was excellent. The staff was very friendly. Nice pool, nice condo with comfortable bed.
Cons: It is a bit expensive for Mexican standards
Pros: This is a beautiful location about 30-minutes from Merida. In addition to staying in a lovely hotel and eating good food, you can take tour of the hacienda and learn how rope is made from the agave plant that grows on the property
Cons: While we had a wi-fi signal, we had no Internet in our room (Room 3). The air-conditioning was quite loud and made it a bit difficult to sleep.
Pros: Staff were great as was the food and service
Pros: Very nice location. Sisal Production tour was very interesting.
Cons: The restaurant. For dinner only one option was given without any choice at all. Quality was very poor, price very high. Not recommendable at all.
Pros: Peaceful and unique environment with sisal plantation and old hacienda. Very spacious and typical bungalow. Nice swimming pool. Very valuable and interesting hacienda tour with old hacienda visit and sisal manufacturing process with a knowledgeable and talented guide.
Cons: Location very difficult to find from Chichen Itza even with GPS. Dinner menu very limited, some items sold out, chicken a la plancha too salty, small quantity of mashed potatoes, no vegetables but same price on the menu, restaurant employees not sympathic. Small beasts on the blanket and on bed sheet.
Pros: Very good place for resting, quiet even with family. Nice hacienda visit with cenote - not to miss.
Cons: Lack of ambiance and bar for coktail.
Pros: The property was supposed to be nice but was a total disappointment
Cons: We arrived there and we were alone on the entire property. Even so, we got a room at the end of the property and to walk from one side to the other was around 10 min. Even if we were the only guests there, the staff was too bored to even pay attention to us. The bar at the pool closed, we went to the pool but no one even bother to ask if we would like something (not even water available). The rooms are big and decorated traditionally but dirty and full of bugs. We left from there full of bites. Also the bathroom is separated only through a small wall which makes it a bit weird because theres no privacy. Then, we wanted to do the tour of the property that they are offering and we had to pay an extra fee for it (more expensive than visiting the ruins at Chichen Itza). All in all, a disappointment and no value for the money we paid.
Cons: The service !!!
