Cons: The staff were lovely. Easy to communicate with. The restaurant where one of the nicest to eat at in the area, good food, good coffee, nice rooms, no complaints everything was great with our stay in Inthira
Pros: Rooms are clean. Beds comfortable.
Cons: The rooms without view. Shower or steaming hot or cold.
Pros: Nice place good food and atmosphere. Rooms were nice, good bed. Walking distance from motor rental
Cons: Second time we had another room. Ac didn't work well
Pros: The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was big and clean. The food was great and the location was just what we needed. Our children loved it too
Pros: Great place and staff! We had a motorbike accident and stayed here for a week to recover. They were so nice and helpful bringing food to the room (there is no room service). The room is big and clean. We had a nice balcony. The hotel is 5 min away from the Mekong river. If you do the loop you can leave your bags there with no additional charge. Good food too!
Pros: Very comfortable after long trip great location Cable TV Awesome- nice to have toiletries Everything smelt clean and fresh Staff nice
Cons: Staff seemed distracted at times could learn more English as there were mix ups at times Restaurant food ok
Pros: Everything. The staff were amazing The room was so clean The beds so comfy The breakfast which was included was huge with a coffee and a juice! Great location Restaurant at the hotel is also great! Booked our tickets here for buses and it was perfect!
Pros: Overall pretty hotel. We loved the wooden floors and lots of French touches. Very nice staff and helpful. Restaurant was good except for the breakfast provided. Coffee was good though served at breakfast. They have a wonderful purifying water station for guests to refill their water bottles.
Cons: The whole room smelled musty and there is no fan in the bathroom so the moisture stays there . Breakfast was super simple like eggs and baguette. Coffee was good.
Pros: Good central position and good breakfast. They kept our backpack 3 days for the loop.
Cons: Staff not so friendly and helpful. A bit too pricy for a standard room whit window facing stairs. Bugs in our room.
Set in Thakhek, K.G.B. Guesthouse offers accommodation with private balconies. The air-conditioned rooms provide a city view and come with a desk and free WiFi. At the guest house all rooms come with a seating area. Nakhon Phanom is 3 km from K.G.B. Guesthouse.
Pros: We only spend here one night before doing the thakhek loop and it was super comfortable. The room was a four bed room (but there were actually just three haha) and it was very good and it has mosquito nest. There is also a balcony if you are a smoker. We were able to store our backpacks there while doing the loop and its super safe.
Cons: They only have one bathroom so it can get dirty depending on the people.
Pros: Very nice and helpful staff.
Cons: Bathroom not too clean. Rooms are not too safe, no functioning locker!
Cons: Don’t go here! You will get scammed. We had to pay for another room because the room we booked for four people had only two single beds and not two queen size beds as they stated on their website. Furthermore the place is dirty, especially the beds, and a lot of things, for example the sink and the shower weren’t working properly. Staff was friendly but refused to help us in any way. Absolutely awful. Also we heard they are selling fake bus tickets.
Pros: The guest house has its own motorbike rental and is also located next to another scooter rental in case you are planning to do the motorbike loop. There are also some cafes and restaurants around the corner.
Cons: The shared bathroom was really disgusting. We didn’t even want to take a shower in there. The bed sheets didn’t seem washed nor did they clean the room properly. We didn’t have a control for the AC so it was running all night long and there was no staff left to ask to switch it off.
Pros: Nothing special if quite happy to have a comfy bed, air con and shower place to go. Could do with a lick of paint and abit of a redecorating but otherwise a good hostel. Most people stop there then go to do the loop on the bikes, downstairs they rent out good bikes and at a good price.
Pros: The location and the rental service was great value for money.
Cons: There wasn't a communal area to chill and meet other travelers for the loop
Pros: The location was great. Restaurants are a one minute walk in any direction. Rooms were a nice size. Mosquito nets had no holes. Beds were comfy. The hostel floor was wet mopped often. Toilet paper and towels provided. Staff let us use hot water to make our own coffee. Breakfast was a sandwich with egg, lettuce, tomato and a cup of coffee or tea. Booked one night, ended up staying three.
Cons: There are a few cobwebs around the place.
Pros: Depends on your travelling as to how you rate places like this. I'm backpacking with an average budget so don't expect too much. If the place is clean, has a private bathroom, decent and clean beds, A/C then I'm pretty happy. This meets all those. It's not fancy, it's out dated and you walk through a bike rental office and motorbikes to get to the stairs but once you're in your room, it does exactly what you require (minus the WiFi)
Cons: You have a door off the balcony into a little hall with the room and bathroom both coming off it, but no lock or way to keep the door closed other than wedging something against it. So if you go from the bedroom to the bathroom anyone on the balcony could see you in your underwear or whatever. Also the WiFi in my room 303 was useless. If you leaned against the front window you could connect. As it happens I could use the WiFi from the hotel ACROSS THE ROAD in my room but not KGB's WiFi. Shocking.
Cons: Bed bugs!!!!!! Not worth having to deal with an infestation.
