10.0 Excellent
Pros: I LOVED our stay at the Candle Light Inn. It is in a nice private location, close to Napa. The breakfast every morning was fantastic, the staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were delightful. Truly a wonderful experience for my wife and I celebrating our anniversary in Napa.
Cons: There is honestly not to much to critique. I guess if I had to nit-pick I would say the pool had some dirt in it from the surrounding trees. However, it was not enough to keep us from swimming and we weren't there because of the pool anyways.
7.7 Good
Pros: \coffee on the floor early am. very helpful staff.
Cons: The small bed

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were very spacious and elegant. Liked the fireplace and multilevel room. Overall, a very pleasant experience!
Cons: Tile in the bathroom was a little dated, but did fit the overall character of the hotel. Not too much not to like...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Modest accomodations but very clean and comfortable The staff was very helpful and the exteriors of the building were beautiful for such a small hotel. The interiors were modest but some details were great. Definitely get the rm with the fireplace which is perfect for the chilly nights and a glass of wine. While the bathrooms are not updated, they're unique and clean. The beamed ceilings were really nice. You cannot beat the location nestled right in between all the wonderful wineries and restaurants. A great value!
Cons: DIdn't have a full size ironing board and the iron was cheap and didn't work well. There's some fixtures, window treatments, couch, and decorative pillows appeared old and in need of updating. The tub was clearly older. Despite the old stuff, the unit was clean which was a good save. Had it been dirty, we would have checked out.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The service. From the valet to the bar to the restaurants the concierge booked us a reservation for, they made it a point to wish us a happy anniversary. Nice touch.
Cons: The Lucy restaurant on site was a little slow with their service. Especially in the morning. Didn't really keep up with the rest of the hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality and service. Our bags were immediately taken to our rooms upon arrival and we we're greeted with champagne. We asked for ice and it was at our door within a few minutes. The design of the room was beautiful and relaxing. Gorgeous bathroom, spacious closet, and the sweet treats that were left in our room each night added to the ambience.
Cons: No complaints
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Their own essential oil toiletries, heated floors, Spanish style courtyard, gorgeous restaurant, thoughtful details everywhere.
Cons: See above.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The hotel itself is a small scenic place set a lot like a small town feel. There are a small number of rooms that all face inward to an open pedestrian area that leads to the reception area and Redd Wood (the restaurant connected to the hotel). The amenities of the room were great and most of the folks on the grounds were very helpful in insuring our stay went very well. The spa was also very nice if you are looking to relax.
Cons: The concierge could have used a little help. The first issue I had was that I was suppose to have a food and wine pairing at one of the vineyards and upon arrival found out that it was no longer available. I am not entirely sure if that was the fault of the vineyard or the concierge but there wasn't much effort in trying to get that rescheduled until I asked. The next issue was the names which were provided to the vineyard for me and my wife were incorrect which made for awkwardness upon the arrival at our vineyard tours. Lastly, I was trying to add a visit later in the trip and during my conversation with the concierge I was told that I may not have time to make the visits I wanted but after discussing I said I wanted to go ahead because we move pretty quickly between visits (not lingering around). Based on my request I basically had to again TELL the concierge to try to make the reservation against the advice given not to. In the end just need to confirm details and ultimately give the customer what they want. While this is a long write up it would not deter me from staying at North Block! I will plan to stay there again in the future.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, nice hotel rooms, staff was very friendly and nice, especially our Front Desk Clerk, Celina, that was very helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms. Excellent flowing shower and full tub in the room. Close to shopping and restaurants.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: location and cleanliness

9.4 Excellent
Pros: Staff treated us like family. They put our baby bottle bag in their freezer for us and accomated us to the first floor so we didn't have to take our newborn upstairs with the stroller and baby equipment. Waffles were amazing . I've never had sweet potato waffles before but I would recommend trying to anyone I know. Oatmeal was awesome too! Slow cooked oats and those fresh toppings cannot be beat for a continental breakfast.
Cons: Carpet felt musty/dirty on bare feet. Ventilation in the room was a little humid which probably is causing the poor conditions of the carpet. Feels like it can't get dry and absorbs dirt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were the friendliest of anywhere I've stayed for a long time -- they really made you feel like you were staying in a home (or at least an Airbnb) instead of a hotel. I was a bit worried that as a Best Western this place would have a "factory" feel, but it really didn't at all -- it was intimate and cozy.
Cons: The location next to the road isn't amazing, but the gardens were nice and there was no noise in the room, so it wasn't really an issue.

Walking distance to all of downtown restaurants, etc. Free wifi & parking. It was just perfect.
Cons: nothing! It couldn't have been a better experience
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Went with wheelchair. Despite an old hotel, everything looked new, although maintaining the old fashion look, and barrier-free. Right restaurants on the block, right behind is the river with paved ramps and walkways, perfect for strolling in a wheelchair. Breakfast room service comes standard with the stay. Best wheelchair vacation.

8.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, clean facilities in a quiet neighborhood that is close to - just a short walk, or even shorter cab ride- the nightlife of downtown. While our room was small, it had lovely, tall windows and an amazing Jacuzzi-style bathtub (complete with jets!). We were only there for one night and didn't get to take advantage of the pool or hot tub, but those looked great. The staff was personable, and not intrusive at all. We were greeted on arrival, and there were complimentary beverages and hors d'oeuvres waiting in the dining room.
Cons: Like everything in Napa, it's fairly expensive for comparable quality in other locales. But I prefer to stay in hotels with personality rather than do the resort thing, and the White House definitely has that.
7.4 Good
Pros: Great location within walking distance of downtown Napa, the Wine Train, etc.
Cons: Room furnishings are oddly cheap and modern, not in keeping with the era of the home. Hopefully the 2015 renovations will rectify this.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved this place. Owners were very hospitable - they thought of every detail to make our stay pleasant. We were within walking distance to "town" but felt isolated in their beautiful backyard of an oasis. Wine outside by the fire pits was a nice touch. Will be coming back again.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Pros: Champagne when you arrive Great staff very helpful and nice Great breakfast, with mimosas included in the room cost. Great hot tub and pool and open till 11pm so open to take a quick hot tub dip before retiring for the night. View of the vineyards from our room. Everyone at the hotel including guests was friendly and fun, it had a nice vibe.
Cons: Rooms were not wow. Maybe I have been to Vegas too many times and I am spoiled but the rooms were just average. Nothing was bad, the bathroom was a little small, but had a nice stone upgrade, but the room was very beige and a little bland, but it was still nice. It was better than a best western but at least the room we had was not interesting. For $300 a night we did not have a bathtub and the room seemed empty like some furniture was missing. Decorations are very beige. The hotel itself and experience was better than the room.
