Pros: Great breakfast and very friendly hosts. They were so helpful in telling us about what to do around the area. The bed was extra comfy too!
Pros: The house was beautiful & I loved my suite. The bed was incredibly comfortable & the spa tub was awesome. The breakfast was great. Home cooking at it’s finest. Troy & Christina were very nice & welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.
Cons: That I couldn’t stay longer!
Pros: very good breadfast, room is big.
Cons: blinds didn't block light well for suit 1.
Pros: Very friendly owners. Good location for hiking, comfortable rooms.
Cons: Maybe fruit and or yogurt as an option for breakfast? Minor detail, though!
Pros: The food was exceptional and the bed was like a dream. Also tho Host and Hostess were by far the best people I've met in a very long time.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing to not like
Pros: Room was spacious and comfortable. The hosts were wonderful, friendly couple. Very easy to talk with and knowledgeable about the local area.
Cons: Minor things really - bit brighter lighting in room, small TV or radio to hear news in the morning. Otherwise was perfect. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a quintessential New England B&B.
Pros: Easy to find. I mile off highway in pretty surroundings. Older building nicely renovated. Clear instructions at self check in. Welcoming hosts at breakfast.
Cons: La taille du lit ... trop petit pour les jambes de mon mari ! The size of the bed .. really small for the legs of my husband
Pros: We’ve spent 4 nights at the Sunny G in April. Christina and Troy are amazing hosts and they have been very helpful with their advise, suggestions and tips. Their knowledge of activities, restaurants and sights in New Hampshire, Vermont and even Montréal is outstanding. The self-check-in was very easy and clear, we didn’t mind at all that there was no-one to welcome us, as instructions were clear and the house was very welcoming as such. Breakfast was good, the house is lovely and our hosts were friendly, helpful and easy to reach when necessary.
Cons: Our room was spacious and comfortable, but on first sight a little disappointing. Based on their website, we were expecting a sightly more luxurious stay. The bathroom had indeed a whirlpool, but it was rather outdated (70’s?). The bed was king size, but very soft. Our separate sitting room (as advertised on the website) was actually a room with 2 single beds and a fire place, so the only option was to sit on one of the beds against the wall - which isn’t really the same as having a comfortable sitting room. Our room was definitely not sound-proofed, as we heard both the noise from outside (many passing cars as it’s on a crossing) and the toilet etc. from rooms above us. WiFi and Cable TV are in the common living room, but we didn’t have WiFi in our bedroom.
Pros: Character of the property. Breakfast. Location.
Cons: Very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Quaint property..
Pros: Cute cottage style home with comfortable, personal amenities. Homeowners were super friendly and accommodating. Great location for heading into the Whites.
With a stay at Gilcrest Cottages and Motels in Thornton, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Plymouth State University and Owl's Nest Resort & Golf Club. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: It was very cold in the bathroom and the front door wouldn't stay closed had to put a chair in front of it
Pros: The cabin was very cozy and cute. I had expected very rustic and old, but was pleasantly surprised. Owner greeted us warmly and was more than accommodating. He was helpful and enjoyed doing so. There was an electric fireplace in the cottage which was a nice touch. Very clean. Bed was decent. The view from the back windows was of the river which was lovely. Location was right off the highway which made it convenient. The place has grills and a pool for warmer weather (we were there in fall, so too chilly). For the price, this was a nice find and more than I expected for the moeny in the area in the peak of fall foliage.
Cons: Pillows were too hard for me personally. The owner welcomed my feedback and told us of a plan to systematically replace them with some varied options in each room. That's all! Everything else was great.
Pros: Very romantic trip during foliage week. If you've always dreamed of having your own little cabin in the woods, stay at Gilcrest!
Pros: The staff was amazing! The place was also conveniently located and it was easy to get around.
Pros: Great hosts, enjoyed Saturday bonfire
Pros: Very nice motel with small cottages close to a beautiful river and close to hiking trails. Jennifer and her husband were very friendly and helpful and had plenty of suggestions how to explore the area and where to find good food.
Cons: The gas heater turned on by itself and we could only turn it off by closing the gas line. The lighting in the room could be improved (e.g. no lighting in closet)
Pros: Our host even turned out the lights so we could enjoy the fantastic stars on a clear night. Fireplace in room was a nice extra.
Cons: Needed a bedside lamp on the side where the microwave was. Couldn't read in bed, but chair very comfortable.
Pros: I like the room, the building design, I love the scenery view of the surrounding.
Pros: Loved how close to I-93 it is, yet you cannot even hear the highway. Also has a great location on the river.
Pros: Loved the stay!! Cutest little hidden motel in the mountains. Perfect for a nice city getaway! Family that owns is very very nice and helpful. Would recommend 100%
Cons: All great!

Pros: Outstanding hospitality....breakfast amazing! We will be back!
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay. The inn is a beautiful historic old house with clean, comfortable rooms and is close to many local attractions as well as being about 15 min off the highway if you are coming from Boston. Easy check-in process and a delicious homemade breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended!
Pros: They are so accommodating and nice! They put a lot of effort in the food, and it's delicious!
Pros: Excellent home made breakfasts, each day a new one
Pros: Nicely restored old inn, comfortable and clean. Great breakfast.
Cons: Stairs are pretty steep. But that’s just what the place is.
Pros: This darling B&B has the most interesting, friendly and thoughtful host, who made us feel truly at home. The scenery is breathtaking, we woke to bird song, and breakfast was a culinary delight. The Inn was charming, comfortable and immaculately clean. Will definitely return!
Cons: What's not to like?
Pros: Enjoyed talking to owners. Breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Mattress felt a little hard.
Pros: The owners were friendly and helpful, making us feel at home in their establishment.
Pros: The welcome is warm and inviting, the hospitality attentive and thoughtful and the rooms large and comfortable, furnished in a period style and spotlessly clean. In an 18th century house, there are bound to be some compromises, narrow stairs, small bathroom in our room and the like, but they in no way detract from the overall experience. The breakfast is personally prepared and imaginative, served with lashings of excellent coffee.
Pros: David was a very gracious host. He was very accommodating and the breakfast was made to order

Pros: WE DIDNT EAT BREAKFAST THERE LOCATION WAS GREAT
Pros: Excellent location close to the Kangamangus where we wanted to go.
Cons: Couldn’t reach anyone when we had a problem with the TV. Went to the front office and it was closed. Knocked on the house attached to the office and an oriental girl said to try the restaurant across the street. Tried that and wasn’t able to reach anyone. Very disappointed and not a good way to treat guests.
Pros: I loved everything else Clean place. Friendly staff. Nice pool. EXCELLENT breakfast. Convenient location. Great rates, too.
Cons: The beds were uncomfortable..maybe just need to be updated...and the fridge was tiny...
Pros: So many things... location, cleanliness, spacious suite.
Pros: Everything was excellent was comfortable mi kids love it we will be back next summer.
Cons: Everything was good
Pros: The facilities were clean.. pools were are awesome.. staff was exceptional..
Cons: Double beds seemed a bit smaller than a typical double.. tv was tiny...
Pros: Amazing location , very clean staff was amazing Marie was very welcoming and friendly
Pros: Staff (Maria) and the good hot breakfast
Pros: Views here are amazing. Staff is unbelievably helpful and nice and it is right off the highway so it is incredibly easy to get there and enjoy the sights and sounds of the area as well. They actually called me to let me know we could check into our room, which a hotel has never done for me! Highly recommend this resort, it’s exactly what you need in the white mountains. Fantastic view of the stars at night as well.
Pros: It was so worth the price, very big cabins to spend a very nice weekend with friends and family.
Cons: The pool was very small. Bathroom lock was broken and it was hard to manage with 6 adults in a house.

Pros: Oatmeal was ok. Apples looked disgusting. Just bread, no bagels, muffins. I got to breakfast at 8am and they already running low on cereal, yogurt, OJ. Best thing about my stay was I only had to be there for 1 night.
Cons: The water pressure, the stained curtains, the broken “security” lock on side entrance ( they just put duct tape over the lock to keep it open) my room actually smelled of cigarettes. The place just looked like it hasn’t been maintained for years. On top of everything I paid $182.00 for 1 night. The place wasn’t convenient to anything. Worst hotel I ever stayed at. I guess they just rely on the nice places near the lake filling up and taking advantage of schmucks like me.
Pros: Location was fine for me as I was supposed to be in a meeting nearby. 4 miles drive was fantastic.
Cons: I have never seen such a meager breakfast. I can live with that, but my room had a distinct stink, which was not at all inviting.
Pros: Swimming Pool and Hot Tub
Cons: Not very clean Loud because the rooms are right next to the pool and the hovering in the morning is really annoying.
Pros: Nice stuff and location
Cons: Stinch of cigarettes Stains on the wall and cealing .Old furnitures. Needs refurbishement.
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: The bathtub in my room was disgusting. Everything in the hotel was outdated. Pretty sure this place has bedbugs.
Pros: The staff was friendly and room was clean
Cons: Breakfast was pretty much just pancakes or waffles so we ate at different restaurants for breakfast.
Pros: No eggs, bed was to hard for wife.the water only was Luke warm the first day and the tub did not drain properly. Water pressure was low.
Cons: Go to first question.
Pros: The location was very convenient.
Cons: I was stunned and amazed at the cost.
Pros: The restaurant across the street from the hotel was amazing.
Cons: We had a cockroach in one of the beds.
Pros: Location to what we wanted and needed to do.
Cons: More choices for breakfast.
Pros: Breakfast was very good and person preparing foods and making waffles was friendly and very efficient. On my second day he remembered I asked for decaf coffee and he had it ready for me when I went for breakfast.. Impressive. He interacted with all the guests. Staff at the desk were polite and helpful.
Cons: Only fault I found is that the faucet in our bathroom needs to be replaced. Very difficult to turn on. Other than that the bathroom and bedroom were clean and neat.
Pros: It was a typical motel, nothing fancy.
Cons: The inside smelled musty, like an old motel. Charged 20 bucks for my tiny dog. That was a surprise.
