10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The room was so comfortable, it was huge, the air con worked and the bathroom was great. It was one of the most comfortable places we stayed during our two weeks in Morocco. The pool was clean and amazing, the views are amazing. The breakfast & dinner were great. But the best part of the accommodation is the staff! Of all the people we met in Morocco, the staff here were by far the most kind and welcoming we experienced. We would 100% recommend and were sad that we didn’t spend more than one night here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice host, excellent food, very clean rooms and the whole hotel. Great swimming pool. We recommend!
Cons: Everything was great!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the best place we stayed in Marocco. I loved the location and the staff that was very friendly, helpful, all the people were smiling and I wish we could stay longer. The staff was waiting for us even though we were late in the night, they even washed our car the next morning! I felt great there, it was very clean and the breakfast was also delicious. Surrounding is full of palm trees and for sure you can rest there and relax. When I will be in Marocco next time I will definitely stay there for more than one day. Greetings for the staff :)
Cons: Everything was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a wonderful hotel! I could imagine it would be lovely to camp there too. The staff were so kind and helpful picking us up from the bus stop in Tinghir. The walk through the palmerie to the gorge was one of the highlights of our trip to Morocco - and the fact you could do it by wandering straight out of the hotel was magical! Even the tagine we had was delicious. I wish we had stayed longer and we will definitely return if we come back to Tinghir!

Pros: Beautiful Riad in the middle of no where, well decorated, and amazing staff, the food was good, touch of French influence,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The riad exceeded our expectations, for the charm of its decoration, the day and night tranquility, the spaciousness and comfort of the room, the quality of the food with a beautiful ambient music, the impeccable service and an unbeatable value for money. A riad with a lot of charm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful villa with so many pretty details. Room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful, it was great to chat and learn more about the area and the culture. Too bad we only had one night in this paradise!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Riad Timadrouine is a great place to stay. I was there with my partner and we both can highly recommend it. The owner is very obliging and always friendly. The food was very good. Hence, we recommend dining there as well. The little restaurant has a cozy and romantic atmosphere, while the upper floor invites to relaxation in the sauna or jacuzzi.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place with a sauna, spa and pool. We had the place to ourselves which was a bonus! Perfect stopover on our way to the Sahara desert. Staff member was a lovely man who was very accommodating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a delightful place this is, Rashid is the perfect host, such a humble, polite and welcoming gentleman, he cooks all the food from scratch himself and, WOW!, what amazing feasts he prepares. The entire place is kept absolutely immaculate and the rooms are utterly charming. Please do take some time to engage with Rashid as he is a wealth of culture and information. The pianola is a quirky touch and please ask to see it in action. I cannot wait to return to spend longer at this wonderful place, especially as this is run by someone who truly represents real Moroccan hospitality with pride and humility.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Rachid was very friendly and helped us to arrange transport.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great (green) oasis behind the walls of this kasbah-like building. There is a swimming pool, a sauna and a jacuzzi (recommended!). The place is small (I think it has only 4 rooms) and feels very personal. Dinner was excellent with it being the only place in Morocco where we could actually finish our plates (the amounts you get served in some places...!). Same for breakfast. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was very stylish and comfortable.
Cons: Very minor: shower has no wall attachment and curtain so your juggling the shower head while washing and trying to keep the bathroom a bit dry. :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice structure, well maintained. The room was comfortable and roomy. Also the bathroom was very spacious and clean. The staff was kind.
Cons: Be aware that if you need wi.fi in you room you should ask before booking for a room in which wi-fi has signal, our had not.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed 2 nights after a few days in the desert. The Riad location is excellent to discover the gorges & kasbas and the high Atlas in the areas around. Timadrouine is right in between the two access roads of these gorges. Very beautiful quiet riad with a swimming pool, several terraces - even a sauna. Our sons enjoyed the jacuzzi every night :-) Our rooms were very large, nice beds, excellent (silent) airco and huge bathrooms. Beautiful decorations. The diner was also very nice - nice menu.
Cons: we were the only family/guests at this time...the staff was just 1 person and he needed to do everything...maybe that was the reason he forgot to clean the rooms...we immediately got new towels and apologies - the great rooms & food made us forget :-)

Pros: The dinner was fine. The location is just excellent and the people were friendly and helped to find a nice hiking route. It was fun to sleep in the cave.
Cons: No internet connection in the whole property. Also a lot of flies and animals at terras, and also in the room. We were 15 minutes early for breakfast, and there was no one there. Doors were closed and nobody was around.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: LOVELY. Extrordinary location. Walking distance to the highlight ‘todra gorge’. Staff was so nice. They even prepared us a delicious maroccan meal at 11 in the night. Rooms are clean, and really nice. Hotel has his own guide, and showed us around in the area, including walking trip into the mountains, visit a local Nomad family, tour in the city and a lovely talk about life in the mountains. So far our best experience in Marokko.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is unique and the staff is amazing, incredibly nice, helpful, polite. We had a fantastic dinner there and were very well impressed by the food and the service. I strongly recommend this place.
Cons: Hard to say... too many flies in the summer? We stayed there during the summer and AC is not available, but this was not a real issue as we were in one of the cave rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly. Food is superb, maybe our favourite in all of Morocco. The gorge is picturesque for walking, and the cave rooms are quiet and memorable. We loved our stay!
Cons: No WiFi in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is incredible. It's located inside the todra gorge so you have the most stunning views. The room (we had a cave) was also so beautiful and spacious. The diner and breakfast were so good. By far the best we've had in Morocco. We had chicken tajine with vegetables and moussaka. It was amazing. The staff was very helpful and made you feel very welcome.

Cons: The chicken tagine served at dinner was not the best.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Other than the flies, perfect!! What a beautiful location. The cave room is gorgeous, for both of us this was the most wonderful place we have ever stayed. Definitely try the dinner, especially the moussaka, because it is the best food we had so far in morrocco. The hosts are amazing, they organized a wonderful night with lots of music. Everything is biological and run on solar energy. In short: totally worth it to go here when you're in morrocco!
Cons: There were quite a lot of flies.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location in the gorge is romantic and stunning. The cave room was really neat! Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Big rooms, cold pool, great view of gorge, really pleasant walks along river. Fantastic food and lovely outdoor seating around pool area to eat at. Plenty of shade around pool, you can really hang out for hours here and read a book or nap. Great wifi, The food was excellent, so delicious. My kids loved the chips and kebabs but one between the two of them would have been fine. Really large portions you will not need an entree. Good place if you have kids.
Cons: They had workman around the pool area creating another pool next to the one we were swimming in. Good for the next people when it's finished. Will be even better in a few months. They serve very large portions of food, I'm not sure how anyone could possibly eat that much. I felt very wasteful order less. Food was so good it was difficult to stop eating when so much still left on table.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect (a few km before the Todra Gorge) and the staff were amazing. The place was nice and clean. The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, staff was amazing, rooms were big and cozy, pool and restaurant were very nicely decorated. We were very impressed by the quality of the beds and service. Highly recommend it!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in a family room one night on the way from Ouarzazate to Merzouga. The terrace of the room is just above the oasis river and at the foot of the rocky walls of Todgha valley or canion. The restaurant is quiet and comfortable too. Had a very good night. The lunch and dinner were delicious, and the breakfast was generous. I should have stayed one more night.
Cons: The choice of music at the restaurant- just my personal taste: it would be really great if you put berber, arab kind of quiet music rather than dancing music, which would suite better the quiet valley location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the food, both dinner and breakfast
10.0 Excellent

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The owner tried to be friendly
Cons: The place looks nothing like the pictures. The room was very small and very cold. They didn’t clean the room one day to the other. The place is on a busy road and very noisy. It was our first (and unfortunately not last) big disappointment with booking. Does not deserve at all the rating it has!! Unless you want to sleep in a cold dark dirty room on the “highway” . The owner started even getting angry at us when we mentioned the fact that we were a no disappointed!!
9.3 Excellent

Cons: The heater in the room needs to be upgraded for winter months.
A Secret Garden - Tinghir - Building
6
9.2 Excellent (183 reviews)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Really basic, no frills place with a bed and a shower. Natalie and Daniel were very hospitable and warm. Natalie even offered to cook us lunch as restaurants were closed during Eid and we were starving. A lovely garden in the backyard. Walking distance to the beautiful Todra gorge. Upon booking, we were sent a map and directions. It’s not that hard to find if you can follow a map well. This was super useful for us.
Cons: Pillows were a bit flat but it was not that big of a deal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming with a lovely homely feel and a beautiful location. We were made to feel completely at home and every need was catered for. The evening meal and breakfast prepared for us was also delicious. Thank you Natalie & Daniel for your kind hospitality - we cannot wait to return for another visit!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about it! Daniel and Natalie are amazing hosts and make you feel at home. They prepared us very nice breakfast and dinner and gave us lots of options to explore the gorge and the area around it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Amazing places, amazing views, amazing people... the dinner was delicious and also the breakfast! They were very kind! The hotel is a bit hidden but it really worth it because of the views!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Super nice hosts made us feel welcome. Friendly atmosphere; in the evening the guests gather around the dinning table for a chat, a drink, a meal or just to be together.
Cons: All good!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were incredibly helpfull and organise great climbing excursions in the Todra Gorge. It was a nice oasis of piece and quiet coming from touristic city’s.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view of the valley from our balcony was gorgeous! The place is a bit hidden from the road but that's what makes it special. We found it easily with the instructions on the website. Look for the dummy of the rock climber in front of the store "Aventure Verticales." That's the place to ask. The hosts Daniel and Natalie were amazing. They made us feel welcome and sat with us for meals when possible.
Cons: Toilet is shared. Minor inconvenience for some. But the "green toilet" is clean and works well. . Our room had a great shower and sink.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nathalie and Dan are the loveliest people you’ll ever meet. We visited the Secret Garden as strangers, left it as friends. Their hospitality exceeded our expectations by miles. Food was delicious, conversations interesting, smiles natural and cats purring. Definitely coming back. Thank you for great memories of a stunning place!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so friendly food amazing
5.8 Okay
Cons: The hosts were not there at the check in time of 5pm. They arrived about 1.5 hours later. In that time we were waiting on the street... After dinner we wanted to take a shower and get ready for the night and found that there was no running water. Neither shower, sink nor the toilet (!!)worked... unfortunately we only found out after the attempt to use the toilet. When asking the hosts they told us totally unsurprised that our level didn’t have running water in the evening. The house is cut off the water supply over night. A highly unpleasant surprise after a hot and sweaty day in the moroccan desert. Also we had planned to carry on our travels at 8am the next morning and we basically could not use any sanitary facilities at all. Only after asking again in the morning, they told us very casually that the water wouldn’t work until 10am. Very annoying. It would have been a littlebit less annoying if we were just told about that right at the start. The hosts knew and seem to not think that was anything bad at all... I was happy when we left. Sorry for the bad review but that’s just unacceptable.

Pros: This is the most welcoming hostel we have ever visited. All the staff we’ve lovely and attentive but a special mention must go to Illyas - the 13 year old concierge! He cooked for us, guided us to his favourite restaurants and was great company throughout our stay. The hostel is situated in the centre of town in an old Traditional Berber building which was really cool. There are amazing views from the rooftop of the oasis and mountains which was a great place to chill out and drink tea! Highly recommend it, felt like home!
Cons: The rooms were cool enough but maybe could have done with some air con.

Pros: Exceptional! Simo has been a great help, we were in contact via whatsapp a couple of days before I get to him, helping me booked supratour bus tickets for the forward journey. Simo met us at the CTM bus stop and helped us carry the bags to the hostel. The hostel has beautiful view from the top roof where you can see sun rise and sun set. Cons: Breakfast has a lot of bread variations but not a lot of vegetables. Though typical for Morocco, it would be a great improvement to otherwise amazing Riad.

Pros: The owners were so friendly and the dinner and breakfast were delicious! The rooms are nicely decorated and the terraces are beautiful. The hotel is situated right above the Palmeraie with walking paths to the river and an old Kasbah. The resident donkey was a nice additional treat for our animal-loving daughter! Strong Wi-Fi as well.

Cons: Nothing to not love!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect: the view, the personnel, and delightful breakfast! At the entrance we got a welcome tea, and we had a chance to chat a bit about Morocco and neighborhood.
Cons: a teeny tiny dislike is that we couldn't get there at night with GPS, the pin on Google Maps was a bit off
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It's all about the hosts here. Place is nice, the dining room is very nicely decorated.. but what really made the difference was the host: he goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay, he will organise anything you need (we did a lovely hiking to the wellspring through the oasis starting from the guest house, the guide came to collect us directly there). The dinner cooked by the 2 brothers was very nice and we chatted the whole evening through, their English is great. Don't be afraid to buy a bottle of wine in Tinghir from Chez Michele (supermarket or restaurant with same name) to enjoy with your dinner. Highly recommended.

Pros: Friendly owner who gave us tips for our stay in Morocco, super delicious Tagine for dinner, good breakfast in the morning, Located just a few minutes by car from Todra Gorges
Cons: Good value for money and good room but we've had a few B&B's other on our trip with rooms who are a little, little bit cozier (for example a warmer and friendlier light in the room. We would come back anyway ;)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner prepared us a very good dinner - tadjin and was very kind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about this place! From the location to the staff!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our host was friendly and the breakfast was great! It was extremely value for money and had hot water. We even managed to see them heat the water using firewood! we could also stargaze from the roof! It also had parking and was within walking distance to the Todgra Gorge!
Cons: Toilet a tad old and small, but most importantly it had hot water!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good starting point for Todra gorge walk, parking in front of the hotel, cosy rooms with bathroom, excellent food served for both dinner (local specialty Galia with tasty chicken and vegetable) and breakfast. Absolutely great value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean place with professional and friendly staff.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located near the gorge, about 20min walk. The hotel is clean with a beautiful terrace overlooking the mountains. We had the best Berber omelet for dinner. The staff is extremely helpful. They helped us solve the situation with the broken car. Thank you again for everything.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff was very polite and warm! The setting and the whole atmosphere of the gite was very nice.
Cons: The price of the accommodation was really ok, but the extra charging for the dinner they served us the first night we arrived was extremely high! 3 times up from the standard costs of a tajine for 2 persons! That was a typical Moroccan behavior towards tourists. If you are not in the mood of asking the price before ordering something, the owners try to get as much money as they can!! This is one of the most exhausting things during our stay in Morocco.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great stay. Mohammed was very welcoming and the location is perfect: by the trail head that loops around the gorge, next to ruins and with a great view from the terrace. If coming by car park by the river then it’s only a few meters up across it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The b&b is located in the palmeraie, just across the river and amongst the irrigated gardens. It is a really magical place as it is one of a few buildings restored in the very old part of the palmeraie, you can really see how people used to live here for hundreds of years. And the vicinity of the river helps relax in this very dry part of the country. Our room on the very top was very comfy and lovely with easy access to a wonderful terrace. But most of all, the host is just the sweetest man. He was always up for a chat and cooked us a very delicious couscous. During the day we took a hike in the lush gardens around the river and to the gorge, it's really close by. I highly recommend this place!
Cons: nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Todra Gorges is an amazing place and this kasbah is a perfect spot to start exploring the Gorges. The view is amazing from the terrace and the kasbah has an authentic atmosphere. Mohamed is a nice host, ready to help. Parking is also an advantage, because it is in a closed garage.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It should be noted that it is quite difficult to find and that it is in an area where there are no restaurants. But the food in house was very good and the manager was very welcoming and helpful. As it is not in a town it is very near the gorge so it is easy to get there before the hordes...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The house is situated in the old town, after parking the car some 300m away you cross some amazing Gardens that form an oasis and cross the river into the old town, and walk up narrow streets to the old house. Mohamed was an amazing host, very welcoming and Kind. As we were climbing in the Gorge we left each morning quite early and breakfast was waiting for us each time. The marmalade at breakfast was delicious! We ate at the house most nights and the food was amazing! We could choose from the dining room or roof terrace, our second night we were the only guests and dinner was served on the roof for us as the sun set. The locals are very friendly and it was nice to be greeted and wished a ‘good day’ by every one we passed. The WiFi in the house is very fast considering the location
Cons: The only negative about the house was that it was rather dusty effecting my girlfriends allergy, the bathroom is also very basic, other than that amazing stay
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The family the quiet location and the food
7.5 Good
Pros: Very nice small place in a small village. Great breakfast with an amazing view!
Cons: No warm water to shower
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming host. Clean, pleasant place close to Todra George's.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very small but functional. Everything was very clean. The host was wonderful and went out of his way to be helpful. Dinner and breakfast were tasty.
Cons: It would have been nice if the description included the fact that you have to drive down a very rocky road then, on foot, cross a river and walk further to the location. The car then has to be moved to a parking lot located elsewhere. The beds were really, really hard and the charge for the room was higher than what I reserved it for.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view from the top room is incredible, the host is really nice and the place is relaxing.

Pros: Very friendly personnel and great location although difficult to reach with suitcases. Very good food .
Cons: Room a little narrow. No towels included. Bet sheets were not fresh.

Pros: We spent only one night in this place but everything was perfect. The owners of this kasbah (Abdul and his wife Ilham) are so hospitable and we felt like members of their family. Their house is situated closed to Gorges (about 800 metres) and everyone can go there through garden which is full of palms and olive trees. We know that next time we will choose the same place.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: 1)delicious dinner and breakfast 2) heater for the night and enough blankets 3) very very friendly and amazing hosts, we felt like visiting friends 4) hot water 5) lovely decor
7.5 Good
Pros: Host Anwar was friendly, welcoming and helpful. After we checked out, he let us store our luggage at the Riad when we went to explore the area. Outdoor terrace sitting area was very pleasant. Optional walk to town through an extensive communal garden area was easy, safe and enjoyable.
Cons: Bed was extremely hard. Although we very felt safe in the Riad, the drive to Riad Anwar was through a dilapidated neighborhood. Would not have wanted to venture out walking to town through the streets. Fortunately, it was suggested by Anwar that we use alternative paths through a large communal garden, which felt very safe, and proved to be a delightful experience.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and what a beautiful view on the gardens when eating breakfast. Easy to access and to park a car.
Cons: It s good to bring your own shampoo and soap, as there was none.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and amazing breakfast. Very good location.
Cons: The blanket I had wasn't clean and the mattress I slept on was not that comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host Samir was extremely nice and helpful. Upon our arrival we had tea together on the roof terrace with a beautiful view and had a lovely chat. He showed us the town on a map drawn by his wife Midori and showed us the best route to town through the fields right in front of the house. By coincidence we met Samir, friends and family in town later on and spent the afternoon with them in a cafe. In the evening Midori made us a Japanese dinner (she is from a town near Yokohama) which was delicious. After dinner we spent more time with the hosts and staff and celebrated Mohamed's birthday. All in all it was a great experience and we would definitely come again.
Cons: Nothing to complain about

All were kind and helpful beyond expectation. The rooms are really clean and we had a gorgeous view over the valley. Had an amazing experience with rock climbing with instructor Ali. I Highly recommend this hotel!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The shower was incredibly hot; so much that I ended up turning it down. This, to me, is a great thing. The breakfast was very exceptional, with staff who want to make your stay a pleasure able one. The wifi was quick and the kitchen was freely available to cook in. As a climber, it is only a quick jaunt away from the beginning of the gorge and some more trafficked routes.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location with the palm trees and kasbas. The decor was lovely. The host was very friendly. The shower was hot and there was a heater in the room.
Cons: It would be great if they heated the pool, but I think that would be too expensive for them.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly. Especially Nour Eddine was very kind and guided us to the Todra Gorge and helped us with other practicalities like the taxi. Food was good, especially the breakfast was great for a budget place. Would certainly visit again.
Cons: Not a great shower, only gave a little bit of water.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved staying with Amine and his family, who welcomed us warmly and cared for us in the best possible way! Lovely, clean rooms with private bathrooms (a welcome luxury after long days of climbing!), a spacious terrace with beautiful views, walking paths beginning right at the door and the proximity to the gorge and the climbing routes. Breakfast was included and very nice, and we also had a delicious dinner every night for a reasonable price. All in all we were very happy with our stay and would love to visit again - inshallah! ;-)
Cons: The beds are rather hard, but this seems to be usual in Morocco. So, not meant as a complaint, just an observation ;-)

Pros: Nice location, easy to find Very nice lady (and daughter) Did a walk in the mountains just after the house, very nice and beautifull
Cons: From the outside you could get a wrong impression. Once inside, it is really nice
6.8 Good
Pros: 1) We loved the tadalak finish to the architecture of the hostel. Natural pigments and methods made the place feel very cosy. 2) Incredible location in the middle of Toudra Gorge.
Cons: 1) We booked a room that was warm so we didn't have to pay for heating. However on arrival they had double booked that room so we had to stay in a colder room and were charged for the heating for that night, which was an extra £10 on top of the original price! The family who ran the hostel were arguing a lot right next to our room and it was quite stressful. 2) We had to keep asking for toilet roll as they only gave us one at a time. 3) We were also made to feel bad for accidentally leaving a light on even though they had a TV on a large portion of the time. 4) Bicycles were included in the facilities online, however on arrival we were told they are all broken
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room has 1 double bed and and 2 single beds. We spent Christmas Eve there as we are on our way to mezouga. The host cooked special dinner for us which is the most delicious Moroccan food we had.
Cons: When we arrived there is no on at the reception so we had to wait for awhile. They have AC in the room but in order to use it there will additional 8 euro charge.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect to stay the night on your way from Merzouga to Marrakech. Loved the dinner and breakfast, friendly staff.
Cons: There is not much around to explore (at least we didn't), but good to stay for a night.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was ok.
Cons: High price compared with other hotels. Camel trip high price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful warm welcome and hospitality from Driss and his family, we felt right at home. We came to climb and the Auberge is perfectly located right next to Julios climbing shop and walking distance from climbing spots if you don’t have a car. Always hot water for a shower and lovely homemade bread at breakfast. Wonderful view of the mountains from the terrace. You are staying with a family who are happy to share their home and tips about the area with you and you feel right at home. A lovely stay - we wish we had the time to be there longer!
Cons: Nothing - it was perfect. You are staying with a family so it’s not a hotel feel and if you want top notch luxury the Todra valley isn’t the place, which we loved because we wanted an authentic Moroccan experience!
10.0 Excellent
