Pros: The beautiful interior that uses much travertine and lovely fixtures. The hotel is immaculate. Sheets and bedding high quality. Room was generous size. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable.
Cons: We wished we had made plans to stay here longer, as it was such a comfortable place, and Tivoli has much to see and do.

Pros: The hotel and staff were wonderful. Hotel Employee were so nice and couldn't do enough for us. The room was delightful and spotless. Excellent location for everything to walk to. Breakfast was great, They gave us very good eating recommendations
Cons: I don't think that there was anything we didn't like. We were pretty pleased with everything.

On a quiet street, in an old attractive building. A bit quaint but we loved that.
Pros: Wonderful, friendly, solicitous staff. Went out of their way to help us, including giving us a ride on the outskirts of town where we rented a car. That was certainly not necessary, and it was a tough place to get to.

Fantastic hotel. If I could give 10+ I would. The owners are always available and helpful. The breakfast of fruit, yogurt, beverages, pastry etc. was perfect. Everything is very close and walkable to Villa d'Estra and other sites. It was perfect.

Stylish blend of ancient Roman and modern design. Super clean. Motion detection lights and other technology. Very generous and service oriented management (they even drove 3 people luggage in a well maintained 40 year old Fiat 500 from my parking spot to the hotel!). Short distance from Villa d'Este and from other sights and restaurants.
Pros: The hotel looks freshly remodeled. It shows features of ancient Rome, but with modern furniture and fixtures that balance the ancient look. They use motion detection lights and other technology. The owners and managers are super-nice
Cons: Lack of air conditioning (the outside temperature was in the nineties). The owner did bring in a fan very quickly though.

Pros: Alessandro was an amazing host, and took great care of us. Not only did he give us a wonderful local dinner recommendation (for a non-touristy, authentic place), but he also called to make us a reservation. His suggestions about what to see in town were spot-on.
The rooms were very nicely decorated, clean, and homey. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we could've easily stayed several weeks here.
Would love to come back and stay again!

Il Vecchio Treno it’s a little family business placed in the center of Tivoli, behind the train station and 300 metres far from Villa Gregoriana Park.
It has three bedrooms and two apartments, renovated in accordance with the regulations on the safety of the environment.
The accommodations provide services to suit different needs as large, ventilated, bright rooms with TV, air conditioning and heating, private bathroom, soundproof windows and doors, separate entrance.
The friendly, accurate and personalized service meets all the needs of the guests who are welcomed on their arrival in the reception and receive the tourist brochures, the city map, the keys of the room and of the building. The welcome, the availability and cleanliness of the rooms are definitely our strengths.
The rich Italian breakfast buffet is served in the breakfast room on the first floor. During the warmer months you can have breakfast choosing to enjoy the panoramic terrace or the cool of the garden.
Free parking is nearby , less than 100 meters. A guarded parking with a bar is at 300 meters, near the entrance of Villa Gregoriana Park.
