Tokoriki Island is really what Fiji is all about. Peace and quite with no 'Big Island' distractions. The staff is what makes Tokoriki special. They are just the friendliest people you will come across in Fiji. Can't wait to go back and see the gang. Gil in Los Angeles
I had high expectations for this resort and it went above and beyond what I expected. The staff was so friendly and they knew me and my husband by first name within hours of our arrival! They really go out of their way to make you feel like family. We had a beach front pool villa that was absolutely beautiful. The infinity pool and shower in our backyard were amazing. The food was excellent (a little pricey but everything in Fiji is). Very creative menu with a wonderful taste. The spa was beautiful and the free snorkeling was convenient and beautiful. I can't say enough about how fabulous our honeymoon was because of our experience at Tokoriki! Oh and the band boys play great music too.
We only stayed one night here during our two weeks on the Fiji Islands but this place was almost surreal. Food was top for the islands staff was soooo friendly and welcoming. This place is classier than many of the smaller island resorts. Live music day and night. Beautiful island wonderful bures. Even though this island is remote we prefer to travel where there are fewer travelers. It was a great getaway date night from our other destination in FIJI. Would recommend to families groups adults etc.... Hope to return.
Very impressed with the great friendly service (Fijiians are awesome!!). \nThe bar staff were charming and friendly. They made us feel like we were home.\nThe snorkling was another highlight!! Beautiful! Lots of peace and quiet.\nThe rooms were well positioned and had excellant air conditioning.\nThe iguana and turtles were another highlight as well as the little banded rails.\nBeachcomber island isn't too far away you can kayak to it.\nWould definately recommend it!!\n
We went to Likuliku for our honeymoon in July, 2008. We are saving our money to go back for our 5 year anniversary because it was a vacation beyond our imagination. The accommodations were first class all the way. The staff was beyond friendly. We looked forward to seeing them every day. The food was some of the best we've ever had. We can still recall some of the meals we had, 2 years later! If I could only ever go to one vacation destination again, I would go back to Likuliku. We loved it so much, we got a puppy and named him Liku. We highly recommend Likuliku Lagoon Resort to anyone who is looking for rest, relaxation and to be treated like first class guests. We can't say enough about this magnificent resort. We stayed in both the overwater bure and in a beachfront room. The beachfront room was so spectacular, we probably wouldn't stay in the overwater room again (although it was pretty amazing too) The overwater bures are a lot of fun but it's a bit of a walk to get to the restaurant and bar. For a little less money, the rooms are just as nice. The service was personalized and at the end of our stay (of 7 days) we were very sad to leave such wonderful people. The chef does some amazing work in the kitchen and we were lucky enough to get to meet him. Likuliku, keep up the good work. We'll be back!
I loved the Polynesian show and the turtle feeding. The food was also great. I didn't like that after spending so much money scuba diving, when there was a "last call for snorkelling" which was my only chance to go, I wasn't permitted to borrow the snorkelling equipment because I didn't have anything on me and so couldn't leave the $20 deposit. I even had my own snorkelling equipment I just didn't have time to get it from my room and the boat was leaving. It was for an 11:00 tour that wasn't posted on the activity board so I had no way of knowing and I guess I missed the first announcement.
we loved everything here - lovely sandy beach , clear blue sea , friendly and helpful staff . Good accomodation . definately go back one day
I loved the beach! The pristine waters, privacy and smallness of the island made me feel like I was on my own secluded island. The staff was friendly and knew our names after the first day. Food was a decent selection and more variety than the other island we had been too. Rooms were clean and a good size.
We just got back from a honeymoon, 8 nights at Vomo Island Resort and I can't tell you how perfect our entire stay was. Some of the other guests were staying a few days and then going to another part of Fiji but I am so glad we decided to stay the entire time at Vomo. The whole staff works so hard and made us feel extremely welcome and at home. We had a hillside villa, more private than the beachfront if it's # * or #*, and fabulous views. We were fishing (although my husband chipped in for a trolling pole from the mainland b/c he couldn't believe all they had was handline fishing). Everything was fabulous, thank goodness we went to Vomo and didn't stay at a resort on the mainland. It was everything paradise offers and I am ready to go back. Yes, they welcome children and do appear to take great care if utilizing the daycare services, however why in the world would someone want to bring children? Even the pitter patter of feet can be annoying if parents don't have class and allow this, although most families were respectful. My favorite part of Vomo was the food. Although they set times for breakfast lunch and dinner, you are completely ready for each and we never missed a meal. I always looked forward to the changing menus and interesting food combinations, exotic and different. It did seem crazy that we had to pay for drinks, signing for * or * fiji dollars for beers at each meal seemed a bit cheap of the resort considering what we paid for our stay, but it did not ruin a thing, it was absolutely a perfect stay at Vomo!
24 hour into my vacation, I stopped wearing shoes, about a day later I had no idea / or cared what time or day it was. The staff is incredibly nice, the activities desk was helpful, the dive boat was clean and the scuba dive masters (guides) were knowledgeable about the local fauna and instructive. Food was good, and as a side note I have severe food allergies and did not get sick while there. This is the place to go if you really want to get away from it all and have some peace and quiet, there are hammocks all over for book reading and naps and the snorkling is right off the shore, or you can reserve a slot on the dive boat for the shallow late am dive. I don't have children but many people staying there did and they had a wonderful babysitting / kidsclub in place.
We were a little disappointed in this resort. The rooms were not very clean, had to call the maid to clean the bathroom as there was blood on the toilet. Employees seemed a little put out and not so friendly as our resort in Nadi. The food is little to choose from, beef is tough, some items over cooked and extra long''fiji time'' service. Drinks can come after you are done eating or you go get it yourself. If you are a couple without children you might choose another island. Kids are everywhere!! The views, water and sand are fabulous though. We shortened our stay from 4 nights to 2 and that seemed like the right amount of time since we didn't have children.
I loved the 2-hour boat ride to the resort, greeting upon arrival, beachfront restaurant, shady lady cocktail, Fiji premium beer, bungalow room with small living room, adult pool with bar, breakfast buffet with make your own juice bar, Saturday night performance, treetops restaurant (mahi mahi curry dish), jet ski 3-hour tour to monriki where they filmed castaway (Jesse is the best guide), free snorkel gear and non-motorized equipment, hiking behind property, and much more! Some mosquitos (wear repellant at all times), wifi is not available in hotel rooms (kind of nice though)
