Pros: Excellent breakfast - Location was easy to find

Cons: Prefer toast bread and vegemite
Pros: Lovely and friendly owners. Wonderful facilities clean and tidy. Everything was perfect. Shower is awesome great pressure and the body wash devine. This place is easy to find and close to town. I would recomend this to anyone. Janie Bell Waipukurau
Pros: This was very homely and fully equipped . I had a great stay.
Pros: The breakfast supplies werevert good
Pros: beautiful free range eggs and very relaxing rural location/outlook
Pros: Comfort and friendly welcome. Breakfast was awesome
Pros: The owners were really really lovely. Very appreciated their genuine friendliness.
Cons: Couldn't sleep, the cottage was really noisy ... heard trucks !! and lots of them. Understand now, that there were earplugs at the side of the bed ... such a pity as the cottage was nice. Bit odd walking through 2nd bedroom to bathroom, but the shower was hot and the cottage warm. The photo on the ad also makes the cottage appear private, but its directly opposite the owners house. Okay for us, it was night and we only slept there.
Pros: It was very nice clean and tidy.
Pros: The items to make breakfast with were wonderful, fresh bread, milk and eggs. Great hosts!!!

Pros: Overall was pretty good
Cons: No electric blanket
Pros: It was clean and neat. We booked through booking.com a couple of hours before and they didn't know we were coming but it was no drama.
Cons: An electric blanket would be good!
Pros: The bed was comfy and warm. Good location and adequate
Cons: No game room, bar or food outlet.
Pros: Friendly staff, great classic old school accommodation.
Cons: That we were there for only two nights.
Pros: Great place, quite and close to the RSA for a fantastic meal.
Pros: Location, staff
Pros: This place was amazing and the ladies in the desk were super helpful and lovely. This place is well set up and a great guest kitchen and the lounge area was cozy with blankets and heating. You guys rock!

Pros: Very kind manager at reception upgraded my room as the motel was very quiet the night I stayed. Kitchen had a great fire in it on a cold night. It was toasty. Good cheap breakfast of cereal and toast as much as you wanted.
Cons: There are not many places to eat out in the town.
Pros: I was able to lock my bike in the garage. I had a room to myself as no one else had booked into the bunk rooms that night. The welcome was friendly and warm from the woman running the place (sorry can't remember name). Would stay again.
Cons: The wifi didn't work due to a technical issue and the TV channels didn't work either. However this didn't really impact on my stay.
Pros: The property is not your typical motel—it is a lodge and you share with others. You have a private sleeping room which is comfortable. The bathroom & kitchen facilities are shared, well-provisioned and clean. We shared with two families which included engaging conversations with little ones and their parents. The host was simply awesome and generous; we enjoyed the vibe of the lodge atmosphere.
Cons: This type of accomodation (shared facilities) is likely not for everyone. However, for a couple of nights or for a reasonable vacation (there IS a lake) it is more than adequate.
Pros: Good location and everything we needed.
Pros: The manager of Lake Maraetai Lodge was great. She made me feel home! The lodge was quiet, clean and comfy.
Pros: The bed was extra comfortable. The towels were so soft.
Pros: Easy access to the Waikato River trail
Cons: Very small window openings for ventilation when it was hot. However a fan was provided which made a big difference. Thanks. Also very limited eating facilities in Mangakino unless happy with takeaways.
Pros: Location for cycling adventure catering for our large group
Cons: Ran out of toilet paper and couldn't find anymore
Pros: Very relaxing

Cons: room never serviced
Pros: Generally comfortable and convenient.
Cons: Bathroom fittings need attention .TV PICTURE unsteady
Pros: No breakfast available
Cons: Could be modernized but clean and comfortable for a night's stay.Could do with more modern heating.
Pros: The property really wasn't for us. The walls between the rooms were thin and we could hear everything happening next door. A lot of construction workers stay there and it seems to suit.
Pros: Bed was comfy but only 1 side of bed was warm with electric blanket,,other side was cold...
Pros: good location not to far from township friendly staff and clean unit

Pros: Family needed somewhere to sleep the night and this was fine. Had just what we needed.
Pros: Shower pressure was great and we got fresh clean towels every day
Cons: Mild on the curtains and around the shower and on wallpaper also wallpaper ripped we had 2 bricks holding our bed up and a chair that’s seat wasn’t screwed on
Pros: Enjoyed my stay
Cons: Was all great, no issues
Pros: The room was great for value. It was in a handy location for everywhere that we travelled to. We also arrived outside of check in hours, the staff were more than understanding and left our room unlocked for us. They also went the extra mile and left the heater on so it was warm and cosy for us upon our arrival
Cons: Only downfall would’ve been that I didn’t know how to work the stove properly but it was no biggie
Pros: Room was huge even for three people. Shower turned out to be excellent even though it looked like an old shower set up.
Cons: The bed had fleas ...if it's a pet friendly motel more needs to be done to ensure there arent flesh. Covered in bites
Pros: Tv, electric blanket, clean towels, close to countdown and gas station and bottle store.
Cons: Spider webs in the corners of the ceilings. My blanket had blood stains on it....rm12 Room was cold, very old feeling
Pros: Very comfy and clean bedroom, well located. Peter helped us since the first moment. We definitely recommend this place!
Pros: We got moved to a slightly better room
Cons: We were put in a very dated room that had holes in the walls, bathroom ceiling had holes, was mouldy and carpet was worn. Asked to be moved as room was definitely not up to standard.
Pros: Easy to find on the main rd. Awesome shower pressure! Price was $150 for 6ppl room which is cheapest we could find and only needed it to sleep for the night.
Cons: We booked a room for 6ppl...Luckily we were a family with children and not adults as there were 2x double and 1single so kids top'n'tailed for the night. Not enough cutlery/crockery for 6.(2bowls,4forks ect) Beds uncomfortable. Power tripped out with us running tv,electric blankets and both heaters so only ran one heater.

Pros: Was compact and was fit for purpose. Comfy bed and heater worked well
Cons: Traffic noise, train noise and drunk people in middle of night annoying. The place could do with some paint and decorating and cleaning in corners of room, fridge needing defrost as full of ice.
Pros: Good value for Money.
Cons: All good for this value.
Pros: friendly staff (Did not have breakfast option as had to leave early to swap meeting.)
Cons: Fairly old establishment , could do with some renovation. One room had window jammed slightly open so made room cool in winter.
Pros: The decor and history of the hotel, great showers and central location
Cons: I would like to have had curtains for privacy
Pros: Approachable staff, very understanding when a mishap occurred during my stay. Booked accommodation during an important event, and when staff were notified, they went out of there way to make my event special by leaving a thoughtful surprise in the room. Would recommend.
Pros: The breakfast was really good value for the money. The room had everything that you could need and very clean. My only negative would be that it is all a bit dated.
Cons: No lift for carrying bags but the staff were very helpful in carrying one of bag.
Pros: The history of it all.
