Book & Bed Tokyo Shinjuku - Hostel

Guests have mentioned that the bed and room are clean and useful, but some have noted that the bathroom space can be a bit cold due to an open window at night. Some guests have also mentioned that the pods were relatively clean but had some dust and dirt collecting in the corners.

The hotel offers a novel experience that is definitely worth experiencing, as it allows guests to experience a capsule hotel with actual things to do while they're there. There are plenty of English books to read, a cozy atmosphere with warm lighting, and a cafe with great coffee and food. Additionally, the location is in the middle of Shinjuku, providing easy access to nearby attractions and the subway station.

Some guests have mentioned that the beds were not very comfortable and felt plain, while others have found the beds to be very comfy and quiet, suitable for a quick rest at night after a whole day of traveling. However, some guests have noted that the beds were relatively clean but had some dust and dirt collecting in the corners.

The hotel is located in Kabukicho, a popular hub location that is otherwise expensive to stay in. It is a great cheap hotel with a wonderful atmosphere and environment. However, it's important to note that the area outside the hotel is a bit questionable, and the streets en-route to the station form somewhat of a mini red light district. Additionally, the hotel is not suitable for families and does not have on-site parking.

The hotel's high season is in October, making it an ideal time to visit and experience the unique offerings and great location. However, it's important to note that the upper floor is a party space, so it can be noisy while sleeping, especially during the high season.

Consider booking a room on a higher floor to minimize noise from the nightclub located upstairs, especially if you are a light sleeper.

Guests have praised the tasty breakfast and free drink offered at the café, making it a great way to start your day without extra cost.

While the hotel is located in a vibrant area, be aware that it is close to the more lively parts of Kabukicho, which may not suit all travelers.

Some guests have recommended bringing earplugs to ensure a good night's sleep, especially if staying over the weekend when the area can be lively.

Ensure your room includes a safe/lockbox if this is important to you, as not all capsules are equipped with this feature.

Take advantage of the extensive book collection available in the common reading area, offering a unique and cozy atmosphere for book lovers.

If you need to store your luggage, consider using the nearby luggage delivery service for convenience, especially if you have a late departure.

Keep in mind that the capsules and rooms may be smaller than expected, so it's advisable to manage expectations regarding space.

Embrace the lively atmosphere of the surrounding nightlife, but be mindful that it may not suit all types of travelers.

The hotel's central location in Shinjuku provides easy access to various attractions, making it a convenient base for exploring the area.
