What are the pros of staying at Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro?
The room cleanliness was superb! Good staff Clean Good location. Great value and staff was very helpful. Staff is the best of hospitality. Hotel's location is perfect for a family trip. The hotel was small and cozy with a private bathroom, which was a huge plus from my last hotel and Ikebukuro. The cafe is a nice but does take you out of Tokyo and into you average hostel feel. The staff are really great and they'll even remember you if you go often like I did lol. The counter staff are helpful and friendly. The counter staff can speak English. There is a relaxing and chill vibe in this place. The staff is so kind. The staffs were nice and helpful. Nice light breakfast with toast, soup, coffee and tea. It was a really good and family friendly place. The room was so clean and the staff was so kind. Nice cafe, good location. Location with many stores and subway nearby. Front desk people are nice and patient. Thank you so much to the staff for their help and patience with sorting out transport and other stuff for us. Amazingly nice people, great service and close to restaurants and the Ikebukuro Station. Convenience is key! Very near Ikebukuro station. 5 mins away from exit 6. The staff is always very friendly and the value of this hotel is always good! It was good value for money, lots of amenities' and really good location. Enjoyed our stay. loved that there was a cafe opposite and we had breakfast vouchers. Better than we expected for what we paid. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice shared floor facilities, exceptional for the price. Good location, there are some very good restaurants nearby and places to visit. I had fun meeting the new roommates that went and came to the room.
What are the cons of staying at Sakura Hotel Ikebukuro?
No electric kettle in room. No extra bed required. No room cleaning during stay. room to small and not clean. The room was smallish but clean and with a comfortable bed. They prefered chatting amongst themselves rather than helping guests who hadn't a clue what was what. The equipment need to be upgraded a little( washing basin in toilet- only cold water). The room was not clean enough and well ventilated. The AC was not working but the centralised one was okay. The awful smell in the room was so much that I and another customer decided to open the door and portion of the window so the smell can somehow be reduced. The large blanket isn't changed after each customer uses it. The breakfast option consisted of soup, toast and jam as well as tea. The rooms are quite small though but that's normal for Japan. Male staff at the restaurant need to smile more. The beds. The dryers on the laundry too slow. Aircon a bit noisy. The cafe is a nice but does take you out of Tokyo and into you average hostel feel. Bathroom really tiny, dirty walls and loud corridors. The room is small, but it is expected of Japan accommodations. The wifi is not very fast as well. The dryers were not hot enough to dry the clothes well. There was a lot of noise from the street and other rooms surrounding the room I was in. Although the property have a bit old and little smell for the toilet but I still have a pleasant stay during my trip in Tokyo. facilities are so so. But the price is not high. Too far to airport, over $100 by taxi. Small and old place. Too many people in one room. More options for breakfast. Room size is quite less. The AC in the room got really loud in the second half of my stay. Probably an easy fix if I told the staff about it. The bed is a bit uncomfortable but gets the job done.
