Pros: Nice area near to see and resetve de bandia, next to bar sobo dabe, clean
Cons: The staff should be more willing
Pros: A great choice for proximity to the airport and there is a beautiful beach there. Lovely hosts with a beautiful space including a pool.
Pros: Gigi was very helpful and welcoming and even loaned us some money as we had forgotten to to take out money in Dakar and there are no close cash points. The pool was fantastic and the garden is very welcoming. Gigi is very friendly and chilled out and her home is beautiful.
Cons: Be careful of other guests. There are 3 rooms and there was 2 of us so the 3rd was occupied by a guy and his girlfriend who invited people over and partied till 2am on our first night. I am very light sleeper and decided to book a room across the road just in case. On the second night he had more guests over and they made so much noise I had to call Gigi as my travelling companion could not sleep either. She promptly came and sorted it out and they went downstairs but I was left feeling really angry and disappointed that after the first night he was disrespectful enough to do it again. Gigi, the owner, was great in handling what could have been a very tricky situation.
Pros: - in a very nice friendly village - good value for money
Cons: a general issue in Senegal, needs better maintenance (e.g. doors that don't open/close properly)
Pros: The pool. The hammocks, sofas etc. Pretty garden. Close to the beach. The cats!
Cons: Very hard to find among narrow “streets”. Quite noisy with mosques very close and dancing classes with live drums next door. No breakfast. No daily tidying of the rooms.
Pros: Very clean. Private. Beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff
Pros: Not only was the house amazing but the owners were kind enough to let us use there kitchen facilities to make breakfast and lunch. Very homely atmosphere.
When you stay at La Villa Sérère in Popenguine, you'll be near the bay and 12 minutes by foot from Plage Popenguine. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Considering it is in Senegal, it is perfect! Spacious, clean and luxury! all was ideal after hard day!
Cons: The villa exceeded my expectations. None thing to complain about.
Pros: A suprisingly luxurious property, which was perfect to chill out at the end of our 2 weeks Senegal trip
Pros: The staff were very kind and helpful. The room and facilities were very clean and well-decorated. The air conditioning worked well. The dinner was copious and delicious.
Cons: The mattress was hard and lumpy and the water pressure was very low.
Pros: Breakfast and other food were delicious, the local people were kindly and friendly
Cons: The promised shuttle didn't take place and no one answered the phone and expected us to come. The taxi driver did not know the location and was looking for a hotel for too long. At this time Poponguine village was too quiet for nightlife and lacks basic tourist infrastructure such as ATM and more open shops and restaurants nearby. The nearby beach does not look well maintained and the water in the ocean and swimming pool was not clear
Pros: A quiet place to relax
Cons: Just that it's a bit out of town
Pros: Airport shuttle picked me up at 2:00 AM while my flight was delayed. Breakfast around the swimming pool with birds flying around is very relaxing. Friendly staff.
Pros: Very good hotel/ B&B. It is a good place to enjoy Popenguine. Just 1 km to walk downtown or the beach. Great location, quiet and with sea view from the balcony where you can enjoy breakfast or dinner. The dinner was served at sunset, excellent value for money. Breakfast with good coffee, juice, jam, butter and baguette and eggs/omelette. The driver picked me up from the airport, drove me for an excursion and also took me to Dakar. This makes life easy as taxi's in Popenguine are not that easy to find (other side of town). The swimming pool is large and very clean.
Cons: The room could have been serviced more often.
Begue Pokai is set in Kelle, 5 minutes walk from the beach and 45 km from Dakar. Begue Pokai features free WiFi throughout the property. A local breakfast is provided at Begue Pokai. You will find a gift shop at the property. Saly Portudal is 25 km from Begue Pokai, while Somone is 17 km from the property. Leopold Sedar Senghor International Airport is 39 km away.
Pros: Sustainable hotel. Friendly staff. African decoration and high cleaning standards.
Cons: It was everything very good, although hot water didn't come.
Pros: Staff was very kind and available for every information we needed. The place at the centre of the residence had a fantastic atmosphere, with plants of Bougainville, mango etc. The position was ok, just need to cross the road to find a fantastic beach. A fantastic place not in contrast with the culture and places around it. A good example of eco-tourism.
Pros: The Italian style is a guarantee! All is above the average! Laura and her friends are very kind and lovely the price is absolutely low, congratulations!
Pros: unfortunately we were not given breakfast.
Cons: I dint like anything about the place
Pros: It's a very nice hotel , but they need at least TV'S to entertain the quests. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially Abdoulaye.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Staff was very welcoming and the room had just been renovated. A stopover was the main reason for my stay as it takes app 30 minutes to reach the new aiport by paved road, but the hotel is conveniently located for guests looking to stay close to the beach and not far from Dakar.
Pros: I was very happy to have been recieved with my famely in the middel of the night. We had a very nice stay!
Pros: I loved the location of the hotel...central village, but one can still hide inside, if desired. There's a garden with a pool and a restaurant. Francis is a super manager, eager to please. The owners and staff are friendly. Mid-season wasn't overly crowded, so privacy was possible outside the room, as well. The beaches are just steps away, plus a fishing village.
Cons: Weak WiFi was my only dislike. I managed, but the signal isn't strong throughout...not a deal-breaker.
Pros: The manager was very friendly and speaks very good english
Cons: The wifi wasn't working and the food was expensive
Pros: friendly and helpfull staff
Pros: I only stayed for one night, but the staff was friendly and the hotel is really need. Nice area in the back and front. Wifi doesn't work in the room, if it works, but this is not to blame on the hotel, in my opinion. It's really close to the beach, and it looked nice from the rooftop, unfortunately I didn't have the time to go there. Breakfast is simple but nice. I would go there again.

Pros: Fantastic location on a beautiful and quiet beach. Friendly staff, make you feel at home.
Cons: Rooms were clean on arrival, but not cleaned during our stay. A refrigerator in the room would have been appreciated
Pros: Terre d'Afrique was very nice, quiet and peacefull place to stay. Stuff was very good and kind. Room was clean, beach is very near. I recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy sun in Africa, this place is for relax and calm down!
Pros: Great location, reasonable food, and friendly staff A bed made up for three!?? :-)
Cons: WiFi in the rooms would be helpful and a better quality breakfast (the bread could improve massively)
Pros: Friendly staff, nice spacious rooms and pool. The hotel is right next to the beach. The restaurant served delicious meals.
Cons: The air conditioning system was leaky and very noisy. Lots of stray dogs around the grounds.
Pros: The staff is amazing and very helpful!
Cons: The location is very remote but if you need to be early at the airport it works better than Dakar.

Other facilities offered include a tour desk. The property offers free parking. Leopold Sedar Senghor Airport is 40 km away. Toubab Dialao is 2 minutes' drive away.
Pros: The place is really awesome. Definitely stay here in Toubab Dialaw. One of the friendliest towns I have ever been to as well.
Cons: Alone, the private bathroom was fine, but it’s not so private if you are two.
Pros: The most beautiful location with the best sunset I've seen in Senegal. Breakfast was great. The room with airconditioning was so cool and comfortable. The staff was really nice and there were a lot of cats to cuddle!
Cons: The dinner is not great, we ordered 4 starters and 1 main to share between the two of us and it all was a little disappointing. The breakfast on the other hand is great, don't skip that! The rooms are quite dark which is nice because it keeps the heat out, but it's not very pretty.
Pros: The classes are fabulous. They will work around your schedule on short notice. The people are nice and give great explanations. Food was good.
Cons: The room was small and hot, so be sure to get an air conditioned room and make sure it works first! This facility appeared to be among the best in the area.
Pros: Very nice with very friendly staff. Quiet with great places to sit and enjoy views of the oceans. The room was simple, safe, and adequate for our needs. We would definitely stay there again
Pros: Style of the hotel was fun!
Cons: Our room was very hot at night with no AC or fan
Pros: Architecture style
Pros: The Riustic environment . proximity to the beach .

Pros: The location. The calm and the size of the room. Internet was good.
Cons: Very few TV channels. No news channel. Used dirty soap. Dust on the TV and behind nightstands.
Pros: Friendly people, nice little swimmingpool, breakfast
Cons: The place is very difficult to find and roads are very rough
Pros: Nice staff. Very helpful.
Pros: - WiFi was awesome and saved the day. Their satellite TV was out but they have really nice WiFi so I was able to steam Netflix without a problem, which, when u think about it, this probably isn't a compliment to a hotel from a tourist! Nonetheless you can binge on your favorite shows. (Note. U must turn off ur cellular data otherwise Netflix won't stream because u r in Senegal) - Reasonably clean. - Water eventually gets hot after u run it a while and the shower was nice. - Staff are very nice. They helped arrange a taxi to Dakar, which I really appreciated.
Cons: - Location... This, and a number of other hotels in this area, are specifically designed as self-contained hotels. The area is heartbreakingly impoverished. There is nothing to see or explore around this hotel. It is also too far to walk to the nearest village so u can't even feel good about maybe spending a little money with the locals. This is not a beachfront hotel but the beach is about a 10 minute walk. I am not a beach person so maybe I missed something but I found the beach to be dirty and desolate. Sad, really. A couple of hotels about a mile down the beach had cordoned off a section for their customers access only. If your idea of a vacation is to hole up in a room or by their small pool, then this place is perfect. If u want to explore, all there is to see around this hotel is dusty streets, goats, and feral dogs. - Cost. The hotel charged the same per night rate that I paid at a really nice hotel in Dakar. In addition, it cost me an additional $100 USD (total including tip) to get to the hotel from the airport and from the hotel to Dakar. Each trip took about 90 minutes. From the airport, the driver had to call multiple times to find the place since it's deep in a rural area. For the same total cost of hotel and taxis, u can stay in a five star beachfront hotel in Dakar! That made this a horrible value for me.
Pros: Ok for overnight sleep on transit from New Airport.
