Pros: Nice location right next to Mosel river and extremely friendly staff!
Cons: Someone should exchange the toilet seats because ours was yellow/dirty already!
Pros: Room with direct view onto the Moselle.
Cons: The interior of the rooms I found a little bit sterile. Double bed is actually 2 beds covered with a sheet. At night there was a buzzing noise, like some electrical device, we could not identify what it was.
Enjoy the view of Trier's most well-known landmark: The 4-star Mercure Hotel Trier Porta Nigra has 106 air-conditioned rooms with free WIFI. Our hotel is CCH-certified and offers an events area with five meeting rooms for your meetings or functions for up to 200 people. Arrival: The main train station is 547 yards (500 m) away and Luxembourg Airport 24.9 miles (40 km) away. If traveling by car, take the A602 and use the public garage at the hotel.
Pros: Great location!
Cons: Not a thing! We had a great 2night stay!
Pros: Room was very comfortable and clean. The position of the hotel was perfect for visiting Trier and we had a beautiful view of Porta Nigra. As we had a privilege room, we were able to do a very late checkout at 16:00.
Cons: Empty frigobar. Parking costs extra.
Pros: Excellent location right by the Roman gate. Easy access by car to a large underground car park, with a lift to the hotel lobby. Across the road and you are in the old town. The twin room was nice, with a view to the gate. Our travelling companions had a double, no view, but larger and comfortable. A very nice place to stay.
Pros: good location parking on premises quick check in
Cons: the 2 beds were very small parking fee of 13 Euro per night room rate to high for what is provided

Pros: Great breakfast and short walk to the city, friendly staff and very clean hotel. not in the center of the city but 5 minute walk. we liked it alot!
Cons: Would have been nice to have coffee/thee machine in the room as i like to wake up with a coffee. also charger in the basement for the car would be lovely
Pros: In walking distance to the old city of Trier; very friendly staff, they provided extra info on sights in the vicinity; hotel was all clean and nice, little extras like "take a flower to your room" made you feel at home
Cons: Not enough towels, Plumbing problems, but taken care of.
Pros: Clean and spacious, helpful staff, full breakfast
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Modern hotel with good facilities. Breakfast was very good. Parking is easy. City center is reachable in 10 minutes.
Pros: Everything. Maybe one of the best hotels I have seen in 20 yeas
Pros: Good breakfast ,big and clean room Parking on site. Very pleasant staff
Pros: Very good located to Roman heritage sites, rooms clean and quiet. Helpful staff. Affordable parking. Breakfast was okay. Bar opened 24/7
Cons: No safe on my room.
Located in Trier, Berghotel Kockelsberg is within a 15-minute drive of Porta Nigra and Arena Trier. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Breakfast coffee tasted like instant coffee. It was watery and practically tasteless.
Cons: Breakfast coffee
Pros: The room was excellent and the location was great. The Hotel was easy to find. The breakfast was great. Customer service was outstanding.
Cons: All was great!
Pros: Very nice location looking out over Trier. Surprisingly easy to reach by car
Cons: It was a reduced dinner card
Pros: Fine, reasonably priced restaurant offering traditional German dishes. Views of Trier from the dining room. Location in the woods was atmospheric - aided by swirling mist and cloud in February. Staff very friendly and attentive. Nice old building.
Cons: The staircase had high steps and there was no lift but staff quickly helped with luggage so no problem!
With a stay at Hotel Restaurant Kugel in Trier, you'll be steps from Saar-Hunsrueck Nature Park and a 4-minute drive from Igel Column.
Pros: Was on my route!
Cons: No reception open at all, Bedbugs genuinely everywhere!!!! Will report to booking.com and health authority!
Cons: No parking space. Noisy. Not a good neighborhood. No fridge, no kettle. Celine was great but all other staff were rude.
Pros: It's very cheap and they provide a good service by communicating ways with you to check-in at any time and pay afterwards. The guy we checked-out at was a cool crackhead version of Karl Marx, which fits the tone of the city quiet nicely. The internet is fairly fast.
Cons: The rooms are dirty, it's especially unclean below and behind all areas you normally wouldn't move. It's not uncommon to find dead insects or other gross things behind your, lets say, desk or beds. It's also miles from the city of Trier, so it's impossible to go the way by foot (for it's too long), however the buses come on a regular basis. The smell of cigarette smoke is very strong and the windows are way to tiny to get rid of it. Especially since the smell sunk into the pillows and blankets.
Pros: location for our business
Cons: smell of smoke in the hotel
Pros: Nice pension, everything good!
Cons: Nice price, very clean and comfy
Pros: The restaurant was good although not run by the hotel and the bar was good and friendly.
Cons: Although I requested a non smoking room I was given a lecture by the receptionist about how to book a non smoking room. Then she said when I booked there wasn't any non smoking rooms but she had one available now so we could have that but next time I must state a non smoking room was required. Anyway she gave us room 16 which I was fairly certain was the same room as the last time we stayed which stank of smoke and sure enough it was. All they have done is stick a no smoking sticker on the door but the whole room is permeated with years of being a smoking room and hasn't been redecorated or fumigated. we have been staying at this hotel regularly for 10-12 years and they have only ever had a couple of REAL non smoking rooms and now they are being asked more they have just stuck stickers on doors that yesterday were smoking rooms and today are non smoking rooms.... it just does not work.
Pros: The stuff were very friendly. They answered my phone every time.
Cons: The location
Pros: It was clean, had a shower inside the room. The staff was friendly. Check in/out was simple and fast.
Cons: It’s far from the city, toilet was one for the whole floor. It wasn’t quiet.

Pros: Did not have breakfast,
Cons: The access to this Hotel from the Train station is very bad, don't try to walk it if you have luggage, you will need a taxi, the only place to eat near the hotel is a domino's pizza.
Pros: Practical, free car parking, central location
Cons: No laundry on premises, limited food and beverages options, limited storing and space in room
Pros: The hotel was clean and so were the rooms. The room size is a bit smaller from the expected size. We got the breakfast which was ok but not amazing.
Pros: long check-in time, large parking
Cons: poor breakfast, location in a seedy neighbourhood, small room, lack of places to eat nearby
Pros: Location is located at a 15 min working distance from the central train station.
Cons: It is little bit far to walk with a big luggage. The room is quit small and the carpet is not comfortable due to pretty basic cheap material. There is no complementary water or coffee. It is just for sleeping.
Pros: We had a nice stay, breakfast was ok. Massive parking and fairly close to the centre.
Cons: No complains.
Pros: Clean room. Breakfast quite good. Lots of parking space.

Pros: Breakfast buffet was good and served despite being the only guest that morning, and 1/2 h earlier than normally. Everything was clean, when eating in the restaurant - the Schnitzels are really excellent, and huge portion, good price.
Cons: Pretty clairaudient, when someone watches TV or is snorting loud, you definitely hear it. same for noise from the outside.
Pros: Well up kept, very clean and quiet. Also, the breakfast was quite a large spread of foods.
Cons: Location is a bit remote, but a short drive takes you into trier city center.
Pros: It was exactly I was expected, rooms were basic but very clean. Breakfast was good.
Pros: The woman was friendly and accommodating, even with our last-minute booking and limited German skills. She even provided a garage for us to store our tandem in overnight. The room had everything we needed. The bathroom is small but the shower is hot and has good pressure.
Pros: All ok
Cons: Check in time
Pros: There are a lot of choice of breakfast.
Cons: The pillow is just too soft for us and also there is no lift. But after all, sure. We will come back!

Pros: Everything ! My fiancé and I just had a great time. Swimming pool was very clean, the room was perfect and also very clean We LOVED it ! Breakfast was of high quality !
Pros: Tasty beer from local brewery and very nice breakfast. Nice Christmas decor outside the hotel.
Cons: Too far from the city center but if you like to walk like us :)
Pros: Food (Dinner) , good, wines and beers (own brewery ) fine location value for money, stuff as such friendly, clean rooms,
Cons: stuff friendly , but bad educated 1) A hotel at that category, located in a Wine-area! should have a restaurant-manager , who coordinates the waiters , and knows about the offered wines and beers. we where 4 persons, payed at least 200 Euro for a dinner. food came to fast, and not coordinated , the stuff didn´t know about the wines, all where(too) young and hardly trained 2.) Breakfast : BIG disappointment : the buns (Brötchen) where NOT fresh!! maybe a day or 2 days old , just chrisped up , (that´s really embarassing ). The stuff (2 girls) where chatting , but not taking care the guests, dishes where not removed from tables, we where waiting too long time for coffee (chatting girls) ……
Pros: Everything the staff were fabulous the food and beer very good excellent atmosphere great parking perfect choice for a stop over
Pros: Lovely location... fantastic beer garden serving great food and beer. Easy parking. Bus stop for centre outside however a cycle or walk to the centre is not long. This is our second stay and still excellent service and comfort. Thank you.
Pros: The rooms are great, beds very comfortable, the service of the reception is good, restaurant food as well, like the breakfast.
Cons: As we had booked the hotel also mainly for relaxation and the wellness it was quiet dissapointing that the sauna didn't work on the day we arrived and we couldn't book the massage because of renovations. The hotel should have informed us in advance about this. At the check out we complained about this and luckily we did get a compensation for one day breakfast for free. But what was quiet strange is that the hotel in our invoice had calculated also a breakfast that we didn't use. So check the invoice before paying, because if I did not asked for the invoice I would have end up paying too much. Overall I think the hotel is a bit overpriced for what you get.
Pros: very nice villa style hotel with easy approach to good restaurant
Pros: Great car park lovely food and fabulous staff

Pros: Good location next to vineyards. Family run hotel with good atmosphere. Excellent and helpful service
Pros: Great facilities. Great views.
Pros: Very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely quiet location middle of vineyards. There are lovely walks in nature leaving directly from the hotel. There is a bus that goes to Trier center outside the door, we did not need to use the car during our stay. The spa area is small and compact, but was not at all busy, it was perfect. Breakfast was fabulous, plenty of choice. Dinner in the resturant was very good, with a wonderful wine selection.
Pros: The staff, the hotel and breakfast where very good!
Cons: The sleeping pillows are very soft. But that was the only thing we didn't like. The hotel is very nice with a very good breakfast and staff.
Cons: That the waiters are not good with the german language
Pros: Location, set in the middle of beautifull vineyards
Cons: The wifi was very bad and 3g or more non existent and not very cheap

Pros: I paid for breakfast a for two days and it was well worth it. The place looked run down from the outside but very comfortable and modern inside. A good value.
Cons: The location was a bit of a walk from the sites and even further from the train station but I knew that going in.
Pros: The location
Cons: There were some insects in the bathroom
Pros: Surprisingly nice breakfast, only 7,5 €. Good size rooms and perfect beds.

Cons: Unfortunately the terrace didn't have a view and only one pillow.
Pros: Breakfast was good. Restaurant was also good.
Cons: Like all German hotels that i've visited, they don't provide a kettle in the bedroom. I wish they did.
Pros: Modern decorated room. Good facilities. Quit room. Good breakfast. Ideal location if you want peace and quit, but 15 minutes drive away from Trier.
Pros: This was. One of the best facilities we have ever stayed. The staff was extra ordinary the cleanliness was excellent would recommend this to anyone.
Cons: Nothing could be improved upon except there internet service was unacceptable.

With a stay at Hotel Villa Hügel in Trier, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Arena Trier and Porta Nigra. Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-in, and express check-out. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Sauna and outdoor swimming were amazing. So was the breakfast! Very comfortable beds, requested additional pillows as the ones provided were a bit too fluffy.
Cons: We stayed in one of the newly built rooms and could literally hear the guests in the next room talking as well as hear what they were watching on TV. But that did not negatively impact out stay
Pros: excellent breakfast; wonderful skypool
Pros: The location is excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was quite substantial and particularly the sauna, steam room and swimming pool are marvelous. We stayed for a few nights and enjoyed watching the sunset from the sauna!!
Cons: The pillows were too soft and the bed wasn't very comfortable, it was just ok.
Pros: a wonderful place to stay, very friendly staff, delicious food (diner and breakfast), swimming pool outside (heated, so also possible to swim in the winter!), swimming pool inside, very nice rooms with shower and bath, quiet. I noticed I had forgotten my tooth paste and I informed the staff about it. The gave me a travel kit with toothpaste in it, wonderful! I would say 9.7/10 (10/10 if they would also have a fitness room)
Pros: Everything! The dinner, the breakfast, the room, the amazing outdoor heated pool (it was 3 degrees outside and still perfect), and the pleasant staff!
Located in Trier (Mitte), Romantik Hotel zur Glocke is within a 10-minute drive of Porta Nigra and Arena Trier. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage.
Pros: The location and breakfast were both perfect.
Pros: The room was outstanding, so pretty and comfortable and clean. I felt I was staying somewhere special. The bathroom was really nice and everything we needed was provided. I liked that the breakfast was provided with the room price. The cellar restaurant was wonderful.
Cons: The extra charge for a bed I felt I already paid for.
Pros: Excellent staff, hotel and location. The little touches do not go unnoticed, glass of sparkling wine upon arrival and all the rest. Room was spotless. Keep up the good work.
Cons: The room was exceptionally warm, wish we had been directed to it when accompanied to our room. The music the bathroom was a little annoying also,.
Pros: The welcome starts things off right. A great welcome drink to start is simply perfect. The staff was always welcoming and friendly. The location is outstanding right in the heart and walking distance to history, restaurants, etc. The cellar restaurant is a must do. Breakfast is very good with cook to order eggs and great coffee.
Cons: Long term parking in the area doesn't exist so you have to park in 15 euro a night parking garage. Though we liked our room if we were to stay again I would not take room 203. It is right on the walk platz and even in winter very noisy, could not imagine in the summer. would look of a room in back or interior.
Pros: clean and friendly
Cons: lack of hot water
Pros: Friendly staff. In hotel as well restaurant.

Pros: We really enjoyed the breakfast, which was included in the price. The rooms were roomy and nicely decorated, the beds were fantastic. We loved the close proximity to the center of Trier.
Cons: The receptionists were not very helpful, and at times unfriendly. E.g. We booked a room for one night, and wanted to stay in the same room the following day, but were told that it was already booked, we then had to take our luggage downstairs, leave it at reception, and were then told by the receptionist that we could move the room next door to our first room! Not a nice way of treating guests. However the rest of the staff have been GREAT, so they made our stay a good one.
Pros: Great location in the middle of the old town.
Pros: The location is in the middle of town and there are a number of stores and restaurants around it. Staffs are very kind and warm. In particular the room is wide and high. Breakfast is great. I feel free in my room.
Cons: Nothing!! I will stay next time if I go there again.
Pros: Hotel was great. Very modern and good size rooms. Was definitely surprised.
Pros: The hotel is really nice. Located in the heart of Trier it is bright, comfortable and welcoming. The staff was really nice. The hotel has snacks in the lobby area that are available to all guests free of charge from early morning until 10pm. The breakfast is really good.
Cons: Would be nice if one could book parking slots in advance. But even then, the nearest parking is 5 minutes away and is around 12 EUR per 24 hours.

Cons: This is not a cozy hostel. No common room with nice people, just big hallways with bedrooms. Extreme noisy place. A drunken football team slept in the next rooms...
Pros: The room was a great value and location. The price for the area was very good and the facilities were very clean and comfortable
Pros: The location is just one block from carnival square in that day I stayed
Pros: Everything was like expected

The Best Western Hotel Trier is located in the city center of Germany's oldest city. The freeway in the direction of Saarbrücken and Luxembourg City as well as Luxembourg Airport can be reached in a few minutes. The Rheinisches Landesmuseum is just a few minutes' walk away. 'Porta Nigra', the ancient roman gateway and landmark of Trier, 'Kaiserthermen' or the 'Römerbrücke' are not far away and offer the opportunity to begin exploring the more than 2000-year history of the city of Trier. A bus stop is right next to the hotel. The departing buses take you during the week every 10 minutes, and at the weekend in the quarter or half-hourly clock, to Porta Nigra, Central Station or with a transfer to the 'Zurlaubener Ufer', where you can start a tour of the Moselle or have a nice dinner in one of the many restaurants there. Our hotel offers 127 rooms, a stylish lounge with bar and cozy seating areas, a fitness room, meeting and conference rooms. The central but quiet location directly on the Viehmarktplatz / Europahalle is an ideal starting point for numerous leisure activities.
Cons: I suffer from sleep apnia and need a machine at night to give me air to enable me to sleep in a safe manner. The power from the electricity in the room was not sufficient to blow the air through my machine. Ir only requires the standard power which is standard in any house. I have never incurred this in any other hotel. The hotel info gives no warning and reception was of no assistance. I will never use a Best Western hotel again in case they have the same policy of reduced power in guests rooms to save costs.
Pros: Good breakfast with lot of choise
Pros: breakfast was ok, however location was great.
Cons: Nothing comes on mind
Pros: Clean and comfortable room, within walking distance from attractions. The breakfast was excellent!!
Cons: The drinks from the hotel are overpriced. Some guests arrived during the night and were very noisy...reception should have advised the guests to be quiet prior to proving their room
Pros: Location,cost and friendly.
Pros: Great in-town location adjacent to many shopping, dining and sightseeing opportunities. Pool and foosball table in lobby.
Cons: No air conditioning in the guest rooms made sleeping difficult.
