We spent 2 nights in the Parador de Trujillo and enjoyed the experience of staying in a converted convent. The building was beautiful, located within easy walking distance of the old town centre, but with easy access to on street or secure parking. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very pleasant. It was a great place from which to explore the medieval towns of Trujillo and Caceres.
Lovely old monastery. Comfortable, convenient and well located.
Unable to eat in the evenings other than sandwiches before 8.30 pm, even in the cafeteria.
Fantastic historical city and excellent hotel
Poor/absent signage to the hotel from the main roads below and through the old city. We had little hot water in our suite.
The location is really good both for looking at the old town and for easily getting out of town to look for wildlife. The Paradore itself is in a lovely old building. The breakfast is a buffet with a good choice and some hot dishes available. The old nuns' rooms are large and airy and generally peaceful with views over the town.
I do wish that it was possible to get something hot to eat after 4.00pm and before 8.00pm. Not everyone wants to have an evening meal as late as that and the cafe really ought to have a few items available and not just ham and cheese sandwiches or cake.
Fabulous hotel and town. Beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful.
There wasnt anything!
