It's interesting for a foreigner to look at it all, and I assume generates of lot of nostalgia ("Remember gran used to have that same picture?") among the Finnish guests.

Pros: I loved the individual decor of my room - such a nice change from staying in the big chain hotels. I also enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing hot bath instead of the normal invigorating shower (I needed to relax after the walk from the ferry terminal). Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the tuneful parrot was good fun. A pleasant location too. I wish I had arranged to stay longer.

Cons: A truly astonishingly horrible WiFi experience. EVERY WiFi connection is a one per device. To connect each device you are given a tiny scrap of paper on which are printed, in low quality ink using minuscule low contrast fonts, a set of random characters for the both the user and the password. Good luck trying to decipher these, and you'll have to do it three separate times for your iPhone, iPad, and laptop!

Cons: The rooms were not done properly and the towels were not changed, bur we were explained that was temporary as the permanent staff was on vacation. We were offered appologies but not any discount on that :)

Cons: Although we liked that the hotel is situated in a quiet and pretty neighborhood a short walk from the train station, it is a long uphill climb to get back there in the evening from the city center.

Cons: This was the dirtiest hostel/hotel I've ever stayed it. The floor was covered in dust bunnies and there was dirt near the door. There were boogers stuck to the wall near the desk and the windowsill and TV were very dusty. The bathroom however, was disgusting. The vent in the floor had flies coming out of it, the floor was covered in dead bugs, and the smell of rotted excrement was overwhelming. I had to tape over the vent to get the smell to dissipate to a tolerable level. Not even a half a can of axe body spray could cover up the stench.

Cons: Hotel Harriet was way too expensive!!! Save your money and choose some other hotel. Don't pay for nothing. Breakfast was terrible and there wasn't toilet paper etc. This is my first time in my life i complain about a hotel, but this was a total robber!

Cons: I had to leave at 08.45 Saturday morning and although the breakfast was only served from 09.00 onwards, the lady at the reception promised I can have it at 08.30. However, there was nothing next morning, the breakfast window was closed and no food was available. That was not nice.

Cons: The rooms were very very hot and the tv did not work. I was lucky to have my own bathroom but the people who had to share one were very very very loud. <People were running up and down the hall banging on the bathroom doors all day and night. There was supposed to be breakfast but never was anything even after 8. No cups to drink the free coffee made
