i like she everything about it. there was nothing i didnt like
I loved the little living room with its own TV, desk, and kitchenette. The design was cool. The absence of a tub was a pleasant surprise when I saw the awesome large glass shower. The wired ethernet connection in the room didn't work and that is one of the only reasons I upgraded to this room.
I made a reservation through Kayak for a room with 2 queen beds for 3 total guests. When we arrived the staff claimed that we made the reservation for a room with a single king bed. Being from out of town and with no other options we took the room. When I explained to the manager that the room we were given was not the room I had reserved he simply placed the blame on Kayak. I find this unacceptable. One of our guests slept on the floor as the fold out bed on the couch was simply too uncomfortable to sleep in. I'm very disappointed with our stay and doubt I'd ever consider booking a hotel through Kayak or with this specific hotel branch.
Location !!! Reeked of cigarettes !!!!
The whole stay was uncomfortable and the water in the shower kept turning scolding hot the whole shower. I couldn't even give my daughter a shower because I didn't want her to get burned!! They should really fix that before someone gets hurt and it sues them.
Wouldn't give them any stars if I could. Me and my fiance have stayed at plenty of hotels/motels. This is by far the worst one yet.
Staff was very friendly. Very old facilities. Old TV and bad reception
Staff super friendly No towels Dirty room Coffee pot back compartment full of mold and rust Old tv with basic cable Remote control didn't work
The location to downtown Very noisy. Heard the people next to us and above us like they were in our room. The train would go by every few hours throughout the night and I was woken up three times from the whistle.
Nice restaurant Nope
Located near Downtown Management not prepared for influx of American Vets convention, which hotel knew in advance. Staff shortage in Bar and Restraunt for Breakfast. More management working(not helping out) than staff.
Ease of check-in and check out and the cleanliness of the room.
Comfortable rooms / beds. Noisy (near train tracks). Did not have the room we anticipated on late arrival (despite calling ahead to advise re flight delay).
Very clean, nice room. Service was superb; very courteous personnel. I forgot to give my key to the valet and (after calling to confirm) he came upstairs to get it rather than asking me to bring it down. Excellent. Also, I get the feeling that this is the nicest hotel in Modesto area; the locals all seemed impressed that I was staying there lol. It's RIGHT next to the train tracks, and a loud train comes by at least once an hour at night. They provide earplugs for guests, but I recommend asking for a room that's NOT facing the tracks.
Spacious room with large desk area. King bed was comfortable. I asked for a room with mini fridge and mircrowave which was nice to have. Great wifi connection. Great location, lots of restaurants nearby. As I have read in other reviews, there is way too much air freshener being used on carpets/rooms. Carpet was dirty looking though ? They just try and cover up the smell I guess ? Only other thing was Very thin walls, you can hear everything. Overall it is a decent place to stay for the price and location. Would probably stay here again.
Our family was just passing through on our way to Disneyland, it was my husband and I with our two year old. We had a nice big room and was able to have breakfast in the morning. We checked in really late but they didn't mind at all. The receptionist was very polite and asked if we need anything. It was a wonderful stay, and truthfully would ask for this hotel again when we go back!
The price seemed right, but... and the front desk clerks were nice. The property was a bad patch job of its former self (changed names over the years). Needs a complete renovation. Building security doors don't work. Carpets are stained. AC unit was loud and rattling. Service requests made by us through, the front desk, were not responded to. The bed seemed old and soft. There is much more.
Breakfast and Wifi Included. Friendly staff. Good location (next to WinCo, In N Out) Towels could've been cleaner but overall it was a clean hotel.
Large rooms No refrigerator
I stayed here when my daughter played in a softball tournament at the local fields ;pedreti park ; THe hotel is really new, they have free breakfast and the pool was great because we were there during a really hot weekend. The hotel is next to lots and lots of shopping and restaurants we could walk to which was really nice. We had a good discounted rate too that I think one of the coaches set up. The staff was really nice. We will come back.
Centrally located in Turlock. Walking distance to many stores and eateries. The hotel was clean, inviting and peaceful.

Clean and nice as expected for Marriott accomodations. The mattress was not as plush as I expect when I stay at Marriott. The mattress is the reason I typically select Marriott as I have back problems. The mattress was fair but a little hard.
Clean. Modern decor. Starbucks right across the street. A pretty loud train comes through every 2-3 of hours all night long. Leave your fan on and or ask for a room on the far side of the hotel, away from the tracks.
The slight division between the living and bedrooms was great. Two televisions and was nicely designed. Oh yeah, the shower is a definite plus. There is room for three in it and the shower head is high enough for tall folks, which is rare. There is wireless hot-spot but it is not secure and the ethernet receptacle at the desk is not functional.
it was close to a lot of shopping and restaurants you could hear the train go by at night
We loved the location because it was near shopping, eating and a Starbucks. You could walk to all of these. The staff was very friendly and nice. Access to the freeway very close as well.
like new hotel. maid forgot about us.room not cleaned.I was out of room during cleaning operation on my floor. They only had one luggage cart.they may have been two,but I did not see it.everyone checking out at the same time looking for carts.
STAYED AT THIS NEW TURLOCK HOTEL FIRST WEEKEND OF MARCH. MY WIFE AND I WERE VERY IMPRESSED. WE COME TO TURLOCK A COUPLE OF TIMES A YEAR AND USED TO STAY AT OTHER HOTELS... THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE NICEST FAIRFIELD INNS IVE EVER SEEN. VERY CONTEMPORARY. STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND THE BREAKFAST WAS GREAT. APPARANTLY THIS HOTEL JUT OPENED UP THE LAST WEEK OF FEB '09. CLOSE TO SHOPPING AND RESTAURANTS TOO.
The front desk was very helpful on arrival and again when we had a special request.
Proximity to freeway. TV channels offerings. Bed wasn't comfortable at all. Room was too small. Shower pressure was awful.
The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly. It was an Ok stay for one night. The traffic noise goes all night. It's right next to the freeway and there's no real sound barriers to muffle the sound of the traffic. There's also no signage identifying it as a Days Inn until you pull into the parking lot and see the office but you really have to look for it. The pillows are small and only three on each bed and it takes al least two per person to comfortable and still they are very soft and don't give a lot of support. They breakfast was minimal, cereal, oatmeal, toast and yogurt were our options. The juice machine didn't work well and the staff didn't know how to fix it. The coffee was decent.
First of all they only had smoking room, I was so tired I decided to go with worse mistake ever the room smelled so much like cigarettes that it feel like I was coming out of this stay with cancer, I spent a good part of the night killing flies literally they just kept popping up the carpet was really bad it had stains all over had to keep my sock on the entire time I was in the room and last but not least the noise was horrible you can hear everything that going on outside. Only staid here because there was nowhere else available but I will rather sleep in my car next time.
The location is excellent, close to central Turlock. It is NOT on a major freeway like Motel 6 etc, so I heard no traffic noise at all during the night - no big rigs downshifting to get up an overpass like you often have with the motels visible from the freeway. The room was clean and comfortable and everything worked. The manager and staff were friendly and accommodating - happy to make crepes the way I asked for them at the included morning breakfast. Excellent value, I will stay there again when I visit Turlock.
the location does not include breakfast
nice room NOISE room 121 is next to the laundry and the run a huge washing machine till ten at night could not get any sleep asked to move but they refused and they refuse to offer any compensation
the kitchenette did not have pool
The Staff was really helpful and attentive, we had a great experience, thanks for everything
The snack room was convenient and loaded with goodies that were cheaper than AM/PM. The full kitchen was nice and the living room area /bedroom was spacious. The very strong odor of what 'someone', I'm going to assume the owners and their family lived on the second floor ; was cooking. Then someone fell asleep and the food caught on fire setting off all of the fire alarms and the hotel evacuated.
I absolutely love the kitchens in every room. Cooking my own meals helps me save money. N/A
The rooms were clean and the kitchens made figuring out meals very easy. We had very loud neighbors and had to deal with 3 nights of yelling and screaming. It didn't matter that we called the front desk. We didn't sleep well for 3 nights.
The rooms are so amazing. Location is absolutely fantastic!!! There are so many shops and restaurants surrounding the hotel I would definitely stay here again. The rooms are like homes. Refrigerator, tv, just a beautiful room. So spacious!! amazing stay! 25$ sur charge per day that you stay.
I love the kitchenette. No
Snack room Kitchen area No pool Noise from room above
The hotel was clean and the staff was very personable. Enjoyed talking with the desk staff.
Great bed and room arrangement. Nice location, close to lots of stores and restaurants. No breakfast. Most major motels offer this and was disappointed to find out this was not an option. Free coffee was the only thing offered and it was not very good.
They have a rule no local residents. That is not okay. Anyone should be allowed book a room. I booked the room on Monday for Friday and I was told on Friday that I was not allowed to stay there. That is not okay. I should have been told on Monday that my booking is not acceptable. Anyways I was really angry so the hotel allowed me to stay and I was happy with my stay.
Handle to turn on shower (rm 106) barely worked.
Great breakfast, comfy beds, friendly staff!
Very noisy all night, room had a dirty smell maybe put air freshners
I noticed in their pictures online that it had been remodeled. Everything looked clean and modern. Great place for being on a budget. Also the breakfast spread is a very nice bonus. Whoever remodeled the place had some bad craftmanship especially in the shower. Also, be prepared for freeway noise, and I was right next to housekeeping which is noisy as they start work at 9am( I arrived very late and was looking to sleep in)
Staff was great. Breakfast was great. Everything was clean. There was a broken light bulb and no extra blanket.
Staff was friendly. Check in was quick which was significant since there was a line of several people ahead of me when I arrived. Room was clean and breakfast was good. No issues.
I was charged more online, got there a day early the charge was 20 dollars less then my online purchase
Customer Service = Amazing Room = Amazing Breakfast = Amazing Parking = Amazing Pool = wasnt clean at all! Hopefully our next visit they will clean out the pool....
Friendly staff and tremendous breakfast Lukewarm shower and malfunctioning door locks were unwelcome surprise.
Spa, comfy bed Stains on walls, drapes filthy, you could see the dirt and they did not vacuum the floor the three nights we stayed.
Only place with indoor pool. Don't get an atrium room. People are inconsiderate and play pool after 10 pm and play music and sing.
There was an indoor pool which was perfect for our 4 year old.. Beds were comfy for the most part and AC was cold, once we figured it out... Awful staff at front desk! Was asked to put a hold for $100 on my card, so we did and the receptionist said "in case you steal something". The hold was supposed to be for 3 days, it's been 2 weeks and they still have not returned the funds, and no, I didn't steal anything!!! The manager will not return our calls, the staff seems to be running itself with no leadership... Also, they are running a convalescent home out of the hotel, which was out of the ordinary for me... I've also asked for a corporate phone # and was told no because they do not know the # and suggested I google it!
Loose fixtures in the room, cockroaches in the hallway. Took 20 minutes for check in.
Dirty place and the staff is terrible. If you can find somewhere else to stay then do that.
There was no hot water and the toilet took hours to fill up to be able to flush again
Very comfortable with a pool and spa. Excellent free breakfast and friendly staff. This hotel should hire a competent maintenance supervisor! The bathroom needed repairs and the workmanship of prior maintenance was very poor. The carpets in the hallway and stairs are badly stained and felt dirty.
The pictures definitely make it see that this hotel has it all together, I had a "suite" and this place was definitely not a cool looking suite like in the picture. They try to sell yea on a modern room but I felt a little dirty after sleeping in the room. The bathroom was in bad shape. Toilet seat was broken, paint breaking a long the edges of the bath and no shampoo or other items included. The BestWestern in Turlock is way better.
Overall best hotel we've ever stayed in,good customer service ,great rooms,#1 for breakfast
The walls were so thin we could hear everything happening in the room next to us. Also, we were promised a bathtub, but when we got there, there was no bathtub in the room.
Everything was perfect
Room was fairly clean. Sketchy neighborhood and right next to train tracks. Wish they would have been upfront about the location.
Could have my dog, for $25. Close to where I needed to be in Modesto. Person covering the desk on Saturday 9/5/15 was extremely helpful and accomodating. Great service.
Never stayed at Great Westerns before, Don't know what I was missing! Everything Super!
Everything was great very comfortable and clean
Very satisfied with our stay there. The place was clean, comfortable, and centrally located with plenty of parking. Staff very accommodating
Nothing Bed bugs ... smoking air conditioning unit so fire alrsm went off at 130am... no wake up call so missed breakfast.... hair in shower... no screen on window so because ac was not functioning we had bugs in the room because it was too hot to close the window.... informed staff they we could take pur deposit and leave...this was at 1.30am... are you kidding were was my fiance, and I to go... and she said we would get no refund for our atrousious room... still awaiting Manger call to resolve issue .... very unhappy
it was very clean and checking in was quick and painless It was located across the street from a factory that had steam plums coming from it so no view and the wifi was horrible which is the only reason I stayed there
Leaving Everything. Dirty, said nothing about the painting going on on the 3rd floor. Smelled like cigarettes alot, stains on the carpet, shower curtain wouldn't close all the way. No.
Easy access to Highway 99. Rooms are very clean. Very nice staff. And great value and blow it out
