Pros: The owners are very accommodating and every room has a view of the Stoco lake! One room is available for pets if you call ahead of time.
Cons: No complaints!
Pros: Bed is comfort and very clean, will back again
Pros: Staff friendliness and 24 hour service
Pros: Location is right in the heart of Tweed, but on a lake. Owner very pleasant and accommodating. The grounds and the room were immaculate. Picnic tables with umbrellas on property which is adjacent to municipal property and beach. Great for picnics and children.
Cons: The bed was a bit hard for me, but that may not be the case for others.
Pros: Clean, friend owner and motorcycle friendly :)
Pros: Proximity to town
Cons: Their bathroom heating was not working and the receptionist was not helpful or curteous abnd for a late checkout they started asking for extra charge.
Pros: Bed was comfy and clean as well as bathroom
Pros: Everything!! Great view of the lake. Clean and comfortable. We will be staying here when we are in the area in the future. Next time we will stay a few days and check out the 'family' suite. It has a full kitchen! Best view of all the motels we have stayed in!
Pros: I like the location in town of tweed, the beach waterfront, the owners were friendly
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Nice view of the lake.
Cons: More pillows would be nice. Tub was an unusual colour.
Located in Madoc, Colonial Inn Motel is a 4-minute drive from West Highland Golf Course and 6 minutes from O'Hara Mill Homestead & Conservation Area. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Cons: It was freezing no heat in the room. I slept with all my clothes on and winter toque. There was no way to control the heat in the room and only one floor vent which had zero heat coming from it
Cons: No tv signal in room , no internet signal that worked! The running water for the shower went on and off and then only hot water would come out !
Pros: When the owner got our reservation he built a ramp to the front door which was excellent.
Pros: The manager was very helpful, and the facilties were basic but fine for us.
Cons: Being charged for parking (although the manager kindly waived that charge after we complained) and cleaning. All other motels we have stayed include these obvious charges in their nightly rate.
Cons: Unit smelled like mildew and was cold
Pros: There was a tv in the room Hot water
Cons: -Not that clean. - looks like the beds/sheets were dirty - ants in bathroom - very old looking bed, washroom, etc - weird stale smell when in the room
Cons: The place is a dump! Very over priced Completely false advertising The room is worth no more than fifty dollars if I was a drive up I would have left Not sure I’d use booking .com again.short of a refund of some sort
Cons: Beds were uncomfortable....room was cold. We finally asked MGMT to turn up the heat on the second night.
Pros: not much
Cons: more value for money
