Stayokay Hostel Utrecht Centrum

The staff is super nice! Súper clean and spacious! The location was very good! Very comfy matress, which normally isn't the case in hotels/hostels. Location is great! Not too far to get to the Central Station. Lots of nice places to eat and drink nearby. Very secure location and felt very safe! The Hostel is in the Center of Utrecht and very accessible. I came and left in individual transport and it was easy for the drivers to get me by the door. The hostel also offers private rooms that are nice, I took one on short notice and it was given. There is also a large luggage storage where I left my big bags for a few hours. The location and the cleaness of the room. Front desk folks including a person that worked at the Watergate Hotel in Washington DC are awesome! Our stay was very comfortable. The hostel was very quiet, the rooms very comfortable and clean. We stayed in a double room. Very nice room with a big window and very welcoming staff. I love that every bed has a shield that people can have a little bit of privacy, even in a dorm room. The bed is comfortable. The shower can be fixed to a nice temperature by your choice. Hotel located in the heart of Utrecht. Rooms are essential but more than okay. The common spaces are also good. Finally... The quality/price rate is unbeatable! I recommend this hotel! I liked the whole hostel. Location was great! Square it’s on has some really nice bars. It is a very modern hostel with different types of rooms. The location is very central and you can walk everywhere. There are loads of cute cafés, bars and restaurants and fun things to do like kayaking on the canal. Localization, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, silent room, polite staff. Fantastic location. Good facilities (washer and dryer) and helpful staff. Our private room was clean and comfortable with a nice big window to let light and fresh air in. Room is clean. We stay at 1st floor and public space is huge, bright, and comfortable.

shower and toilet in the room. There was no soap in the bathrooms. The bunk beds were not properly arranged. The room I was staying in could use some ventilation. It can be a bit noisy at night but nothing too terrible. Lack of at least one chair in the room for instance to tight your shoes Very little Vegan options for breakfast....but the coffee was good. Noise from the street was clearly heard in the room: people were shouting on the street in the middle of the night. It was not the hostel's fault but it bothered us a lot. A little towel in the bathroom would have been nice. It could be cheaper. Nothing, it’s very nice so no complaints. Bleak dormitory-like room for that price. Also there was a draft from the window, maybe some mold in the top corners as well?! Bad ventilation in toilet& shower room. checkout at 10 is quite early. Not so big of an issue but there's no door in the shower and water kind of poured out next to the sink. Bathrooms inside the rooms. No kitchen, no TV, no Lounge. The room was a bit cold overnight, even after turning the heat all the way up. Breakfast was not as good as other Stayokays I have stayed at. Not as much choice and small dining area. Nothing. Rooms had no windows to open for fresh air. I missed breakfast by 10 minutes. We know it's not the hotel's fault, but we could hear other guests having a party until late night and it was a bit annoying. It's just a bed and a box for you. Sink is inside the room so you hear and see everybody all the time using it. Because it's a big issue with housing in NL, there are people literally living in this hostel, so you have to be used to their working/studying program, waking up at 6 or 7, even if you want to sleep a little bit more. And being a hostel, expect to stay along with people that are sometimes rude, walk in their underwear, snoring etc etc. On top of all.of these, there is no table/chair, nothing. It's very austere inside the room, which may give you a depressing feeling. There is no shower gel/shampoo, only a soap disposal at the sink inside the room. Not many facilities to cater for food and drink only able to rely on next door restaurant. I had to put the sheets on the top bunk. It was difficult. But no worries. Another couple of pillows and extra towels for the bathroom will be nice. Toilettes were dirty and room was smelly and my room didnt have a window. The shower and common hallways smelt a little. A bathmat would have been helpful. . The breakfast could be diverser for the price. Can be noisy but earplugs provided. Not so crowded room. Only minor peeve showed floods over the side. There is nothing I did not like. What am I supposed to write here if I did not dislike anything? Very good stay. I recommend staying here a lot! There wasn’t a hair dryer. The shower and common hallways smelt a little. A bathmat would have been helpful.
