bedroom was clean seemed very tired and lack lustre bath was un believeably small and difficult to get out of .. for some would have been unusable every thing seemed to be about cutting corners .. finacially .. curtains were thin nets .. which let the light through in the sunny morning .. how ever bed was big and comfortable ..
Lovely guy on the desk, very helpful. Really central location on the main road though it never gets very noisy. The nets in the window are so thin they are practically see through. The shower was a sit down one in the bath but no real hardship.
We like very much to stay in this hotel it was perfect.
slightly faded elegance, unique environment unlike most faceless "corporate" chains; warmth of staff; beautiful location
The staff was very helpful. The maitre D in the dining room was particularly helpful. The food was excellent. It was a lovely place to stay. The road to the hotel from Millau was long and in poor condition. It was not a good place to stay if you wanted to take side trips outside the gorges.
Beautiful Hotel Our room was very tired and dated
The location was ideal for exploring the region The hotel seems to be lacking in maintenance. The decor and grounds seem to be in need of attention, The dining room was crowded and the price was too high for the quality. One night we dined twice as well for half the price in a nearby Logis de France. Breakfast was the type of self-service you would find in a cheaper hotel.
It was excellent !!
The situation by the pretty town of Meyeuris, perfect for the Gorges du Tarn, very wild countryside. Beautifully warm and cosy in the chateau, dining rooms perfect, candelbras roaring log fires[end Nov], fantastic food and wine. Bedroom and en suite adequate, could do with a little updating.
The room was huge. The pool was fabulous. The hotel is on a busy street in a busy little town deep in a valley. Fitting in a little swimming pool (nicely heated) is a fabulously clever thing to do! The place has lots of character, and is in several different buildings- I think being converted from two (or even three?) smaller hotels. It was a bit chaotic. We stayed two nights, and the room wasn't cleaned (beds made etc.) after the first. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss- I don't think they had as many staff as they perhaps needed for such a busy period.
Really lovely staff, large room and a beautiful little village.
Very nice staff, the owner (Teresa) was Portuguese and very helpful, the rooms and bathrooms were very large. No curtain shower and crooked floor (it's an old building).
The location was brilliant, right in the middle of a very buzzing town full of life and places to eat. Hotel food was excellent. Would recommend this hotel, but more for the location than the hotel itself. Hotel rooms were a bit tired and the service was not very good, particularly at dinner in the evening. Shame we had to ask for the swimming pool to be opened.
Our one room opened on the terrace with the swimming pool which was great! There was a door between our 2 rooms and the hotel staff opened that for us on request so we had easy access to the terrace. Room price is very good value for money. 6 Euro per person for the breakfast consisting of a glass of juice, a cup of coffee and 2 pieces of bread is way to much!
the staff the shower was very hot/very cold.,, why do hoteliers insist on out of date mixer shower taps,, a thermostat mixer would save litrs of water, and the customer would enjoy the shower more..
The restaurant is excellent - good food very reasonably priced and owners very friendly and willing to try to please. Nice swim pool too. The mattresses/beds in the two rooms that we experienced were terrible! So "cheap and nasty" , thin and so soft, without any support, that sleep is impossible. Better on the floor! I think it would be better to spend the money on a good standard/quality of bed rather than the tv.
Great location of the hotel for canoeing/kayaking and tourist actractions. Great size family room. Clean swimming pool. Good selection of restaurants and small shops.
The staff was very friendly, the location of the hotel is nice and the pool was excellent, also for the kids.
Two star hotel - excellent value for the money. Staff very accommodating.Food very good. Secured parking about one long block away. Small town, not much to do, but the scenery in the "tarns" is spectacular. We had the fastest and best WI FI of our entire trip. The weather turned very cool and the heat had not been turned on yet! Not the hotel's fault!
Marvellous old building. The patron was extremely friendly and helpful, genuinely nice guy! None
Very clean & comfortable and the Manager was extremely helpful.
it was quite toilet facility
We were warmly welcomed and the parent and kids rooms were comfortable. The dinner was fantastic, gourmet home cooking, not to be missed. The owner is very friendly. It felt like being transported back in time. More like a family B&B than hotel. Breakfast was good too! TVs are tiny, but that is not why we were there.
The food, location, and friendly helpful staff.
The room was very nice. arrive late no one at reception just a busser and a walky talky to get asscistance but note was in French (understandably) but as we were not able to reed French found it a slite problem understanding how to get anyone.
Central location in village, very attractive outside dining area, super standard of meals at reasonable prices. There were rarely enough staff around to answer queries. The breakfast was French but very limited compared to other hotels.
location and the city the room was very damped and felt very cold and it said that their was internet, but we couldn't find any. and the man in the reception was not very friendly and couldn't speak english
Staff very friendly and helpfull.
location, food, atmosphere We had no water at all in the bathroom in the evening. Luckily we had a bottle with enough to brush our teeth, etc. There was water the next morning but they gave no explanation or apology for the lack of water in the evening. I thought they could have handled it better.
Friendly welcome and good room- it was a little musty when we arrived but after an airing it was fine. The proprieter was helpful when we couldnt get the tv to work! Very comfortable bed. We felt that the garden space outside the chalet style bedrooms could be improved.
Great friendly service with an excellant chef and located close to a very nice village with all facilities. Across the road from a river with great swimming holes Lack of guest laundry
Very nice hotel with nice staff and an excellent retaurant.
Owners were particularly charming and accomodating, even offering to start up the kitchen again to prepare a delicious meal for our little family despite our late arrival. After dinner they offered a local digestif and stayed to chat with us making us feel like welcome family - just what we needed after a long day of travelling :) Need to advise them if you will be arriving late so that they will not close down the kitchen before you arrive ;)
the hotel was well situated, just a short walk from the lovely town of St. Jean. The staff were very helpful, and let us park our motorbikes in their garage (very important for motorbikers).
We paerticularly appreciated the .polite service, interesting and reasonably priced menu and, quiet country location.
