Hotel at the Waldorf puts you within a 10-minute drive of Pacific Coliseum and BC Place Stadium. You can relax with a drink at the bar/lounge, and the restaurant is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat. Rooms offer LCD TVs and free WiFi.
Pros: the staff
Cons: bad neighborhood construction early In the morning. only one key for the room (and it was a key. old style locks)
so if people wanted to do their own thing you had to coordinate getting back In the room.
sort of run down a bit. spend 50 more a night for better location
Pros: The beds were quite comfortable.
Cons: The hotel also runs a tiki bar in the same building. I could clearly hear all the lyrics of each song played in the bar and easily sing along with said songs whilst in my room. Forget trying to go to sleep until the bar is closed. The website does not make clear that there is a loud, rowdy bar on-site. Many hotels have bars, but you can't hear the music in the rooms. This is not a classy place.
Cons: The non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The carpet is old and smelly. The faucet knobs needed repairmant. The pillows had stain marks.
Decent Hotel
Pros: The reception personal was friendly and the service pretty good
Cons: The hotel is not in a familiar zone and the check in is too late
Pros: It was a good price for it's location to downtown.
Cons: The hotel is in an AWFUL neighborhood. Plan on taking taxis everywhere. Homeless people
Sitting right outside the front door at all hours of the day. There is an club on the main floor so we expected it to be loud. Our room
Was literally vibrating until 3 AM. It wasn't the worst experience oft
Life, but spring for a nicer hotel is my advice to others.
