We had a very comfortable king sized bed with really nice bedding, and an unbelievably beautiful 180 degree view of the bay from the 34th floor. This place is also in such a convenient location, we were so happy with our stay. We plan to return for another stay in the future.
The only things that could've made our stay nicer would've been a swimming pool/hot tub and breakfast provided at the hotel, but we knew these were not included when we booked our stay, so we were perfectly happy.
Good location. On Robson at the end toward Stanley Park. Nice view of surrounding mountains. Close to top restaurants. More residential neighborhood than commercial.
Great location and great price. Room was nothing special, but can't complain for price and wa s on the 12 floor with good view. Great staff and greeted us when we walked through the lobby.
-Room Size -Price was competitive but not worth more than what I paid -I used only my room therefore unable to accurately comment on facilities (survey question too broad)
-Did not feel welcome on arrival. Felt that it was because I walked in with a backpack as my luggage. Receptionist, although polite was extremely brusque in first minute of conversation but seemed to relax after payment assured. Subsequent visits to desk were pleasant. -Inability to adjust room temperature (advised desk on departure). -Surprised by the extra fee for WiFi (not purchased), considering room rates and advertising pride about providing "extras"; I have had WiFi in many small hotels in Europe included in my room fee. -Lobby area was large but seemed impersonal (lacked character).
Horrible Wifi that costs extra (coming from an international traveler who needed it)
Clean rooms, washrooms, bedsheets and balcony. We got this on a discounted price so I had very low expectations but it was so far one of the best hotel stays I have had.
No free wifi and parking
The location is excellent, very close to Stanley Park.Canada Place,Gas town and China town are also reachable on foot. Many restaurants nearby as well as two grocery stores and a liquor store. My room on the 25th floor afforded a great view of Stanley Park and the Lions Gate Bridge. The room was spacious and quiet and came with coffeemaker and fridge. The staff at the front desk was always helpful and friendly.
The heating of the first room I was given didn't work at all.I was given a space heater which was very noisy,so I went to the reception to request another room.Since I was staying for a whole week they worked very hard to accommodate my request. The heating in the second room worked, however it did not seem to be possible to heat the room beyond 70 F.
I spent $65 for my missus and I to stay the night there. Overa,L the place is clean and cute. The location is excellent and the view is fantastic. My only complaint is how expensive the restaurant is. They have a limited menu that is average in quality but, to me, is ridiculously overpriced. Obviously you are paying for the view which is spectacular as you slowly revolve around getting an awesome panoramic view. We got two teas, two appies, and two pops and that came to $71. Oh, and you aren't supposed to sit in the "dining area" if you're only ordering appies; you will be relocated to the "lounge" if that is all you're ordering. The only difference is the chairs so no big D.
The view and the cleanliness
The view was amazing. Really enjoyed stepping out onto the balcony and spending time in the revolving restaurant on the 42nd floor!
Good location, high building with a good view, restaurant on the topmost level. Stuff was partially friendly..
It was the first hotel I've ever seen which I needed to pay separately for WiFi in! In the hotel's book it was said that the service was provided for the minimum payment, but this minimum per day (!) was third (!) of my monthly payment for an unlimited Internet in the middle of Toronto. And for that money I could only connect up to two devices, so my wife and I needed to switch devices and wait for some timeout before we could connect another device. Also, the heater wasn't working, ventilation in the bathroom was terrifyingly noisy, and the permanent one was producing some creaks all the time...
The washroom shower did not work. The room was cold and air was whistling through. I had to change rooms which was very inconvenient.
Typical hotel facilities
My room leaked
This is our fifth time staying @ the Empire Hotel. We find the rates are always reasonable. Rooms are always clean & the staffs are friendly. Great location! There are many restaurants & pubs within walking distant. Just don't eat at the Cloud 9 restaurant @ the hotel. Very lousy food
Very friendly staff and rooms were clean.
Not many amenities...no swimming pool.
The staff nice to put us (3 sisters)in adjacent room with our brother&sisterinlaw & opened the adjoining doors. View is excellent. Staff extra helpful when we were having problems w/ our flight back to CA
No complimentary breakfast but no big deal
Not a good stay! My friend and I do not recommend this hotel!' Uncomfortable bed, rude house keeping, no hair conditioner, remote control doesn't work properly.. Restaurant on the floor with rude workers

The location was nice
The bathrooms need updating
The price was right, the location was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
The whole hotel seems like it has seen much better days. The main door is obscured by a gift shop, the restaurant looks like it hasn't been open for ages. My room also had several problems. It took them 2 days and several reminders to get my TV and hot water working properly.
The location of the hotel.
The hotel itself in any way.
Location was great. Housekeeping very friendly nice view manager was understanding when asked to resolve an issue
internet was very slow TV didn't work and night desk person was unprofessional when asked to help (manager next day was very good about working to fix the problem) Buffett breakfast was disappointing at best
