Cons: maybe a pool but wouldn't want to spoil the ambience or views
10.0 Excellent
Pros: One night stay on way back to UK but will stay in our memories. Beautiful setting, lovely large, spotless and comfortable room with all facilities you could need including a very comfortable bed with gorgeous crisp white bedding. The host and hostess were charming and very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was amazing with lots of homemade fare. Would definitely recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming and attentive Madame et Monsieur. Beautiful period family farmhouse with character and historic furnishings, situated in lovely countryside and nearby river. Close to a pretty village and easily accessible to Riberac by car. Excellent French breakfast with homemade produce by hostess, including crepes, jams, cakes and bread. Traditional bedroom, but modern washing facilities en suite. Very clean but comfortable bed. We would recommend it highly if you want to stay in that area.
Cons: The floor in the bedroom made of polished wood had a slope which could be tricky for an unsteady person. At the height of summer a fan would be a useful addition.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Aymery and Beatrice were very friendly and welcoming. Also enjoyed improving our French with them. They were the perfect hosts.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A perfect get away! We came to stay for a stop on our way to another location. I wish we had it the other way around. The B&B was lovely, kind owners and the breakfast was perfect, better than we expected. Hope to come back and try the home cooked dinner!
Cons: Add a swimmingpool to finish to compleet picture. However there is a very clean river you can swim. That is why they do not have/need a pool.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and polite owners. Went the extra mile to get a vegan gluten free breakfast prepared at very short notice which was appreciated. Good sized room with view over fields. Old house with sloping floors and lots of character.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful hosts. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice.
Cons: Nothing much to no like - all good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfest was incredible!

Pros: Perfect location, perfect hosts. Building has the right amount of quirkiness and is spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfasts outside on the terrace with a fantastic view. We spent 10 lovely days there!

Pros: Fresh handpick cherries from the farm, made breakfast even more delightful. The large bedroom and bathroom, was super cosy and cute. The owners were super flexible with check in and out.
Cons: Nothing really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about Lembardie was perfect. Our hosts were very hospitable and even came to guide us from the village to their home when we found ourselves a little lost. We received a very warm welcome to their beautiful home. Our room was spacious, attractive and well equipped. The room was on the ground floor of an annex attached to the owners house and had a private entrance into a lovely breakfast room. It was a fine evening and we were able to sit out with a drink in comfort in a spacious open building complete with summer kitchen and far reaching country views. The inclusive breakfast was very nice and included fruit, yogurt and cheese in addition to plentiful pastries, bread and jams. This B&B is a well deserved 10/10.
Cons: Don't get confused by the road sign off the main road saying Lambardie rather than Lembardie. Trust your instinct and not your satnav!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely guesthouse and owners, who really made us feel welcome with a glass of wine on arrival
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean and the reception was really nice. You are on the countryside far from everything.
Cons: If you don't like the countryside this will not be your cup of tea. Other then that I can really recommend to stay here.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome when we arrived. Recommended local restaurant which was excellent. Breakfast was extremely good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Christine was very warm and friendly and sat with us over a drink and chat in the garden. The room we had in the Pigeonnier was very stylish and had a huge armoire for storage. The shutters proved very necessary as we were there during a very hot spell (average 37 degrees C). The bathroom was equally stylish and practical. A varied continental breakfast was served every morning in a traditional farmhouse dining room. As we were there for a week and it was so hot we made good use of the garden and outside kitchen which we really appreciated. Thank you for letting us use it so much. The views are amazing with beautiful countryside all around. The sunflowers in the adjoining field were just coming in to bloom. Christine, Jean-Michel and all the family we met whilst there were exceptionally hospitable. We have been to many Chambre d'Hôtes over the years but I think that this one was the best.
Cons: A rubbish bin in the bedroom and cleaning materials in the bathroom would have been useful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Christine and Jean Pierre, the owners and hosts were delightful. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Above all the welcome they gave us was very welcome. Due to a storm and exceptional rain Christine even lent us her car to go to the restaurant as I didn't want to take my open top classic car!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of this B&B is second to none. Absolute peace and the views are like paintings! The room was very fresh and airy with a window opening up to one of the spectacular views. A large comfortable bed is perfect. Super friendly hosts that we loved!! We will be back! Monica & Mark Green (-:
Cons: Not a problem really but a fly/mosquito screen on the window would be great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great spot. Great people. Everything fine :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely room in a beautifully restored and furnished french rural house - our ensuite room was the old pigeonnier. Stunning views across the adjoining valley. Lovely friendly helpful hosts.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm French welcome, helpful host nothing was too much trouble. After a long day driving through the Dordogne it was lovely to sink into a very comfortable bed with beautiful crisp white bed linen. This property has been lovingly restored we certainly appreciated the attention to detail which surpassed our expectations. It was a pleasure to meet the property owner and experience true French hospitality. A hearty breakfast of lovely bread, crossiant and jam surrounded by beautiful art was the icing on the cake! Highly recommend!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious, comfortable, heating as weather was cool, easy parking, centrally located, good 'French breakfast' , lovely garden pool, though not used by us, helpful friendly owner. Altogether a delightful stay in a beautiful characterfull old house.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was typical French, would of liked a bit more of a choice, offered, such as a range of cold meats, cheese, rather than just jam as an option, but a good breakfast.
Cons: The locking of the main door, was very difficult to open, and close, with a very old fashioned lock, and key, this really needs to be sorted out, as when coming back late in the evenings, it was very difficult to open the door, and very often we had to knock, and wake the owners up to let us in. Otherwise an excellent stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful welcome after a long journey. Went above and beyond making sure that our stay was everything we hoped for. The rooms are exquisite and the decor is beautiful. A lot of love and attention has gone into this property. The breakfast was lovely and there was an outdoor pool which was inviting in such high temperatures. Our only regret was that we were unable to stay longer. The accommodation is in the square in Riberac so ideally situated for the Friday market and all the beautiful cafes to sit and have a leisurely coffee. I would not hesitate to stay again, they made the children feel so welcome and spent time with them which made our stay extra special. Thank you very much for a lovely stay!
Cons: That we were unable to stay longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were most helpful. On arrival offering to help with the luggage. Marie was a most charming, delightful, helpful and friendly lady. Offering a front door key on arrival, for us to go and return when we pleased. She was there to greet us every morning for breakfast, with very good coffee. The hotel is situated in the heart of the town with parking right outside, giving easy access to shops, restaurants and bars. Would definitely go back.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Florence is very helpful and will do anything to make sure you have great stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find and right in the centre of Riberac with easy car parking, this is a lovely property with spacious rooms and fantastic hosts Marie and Stephan. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and en-suite facilities ideal. Breakfast provided met our needs and it’s a shame we did not have time to use the on site pool. Our welcome from Marie was great as was the local information provided on places to eat and other activities. All in all, a lovely stay with friendly people. My French is much better as a result but not as good as Marie and Stephane’s English. I would book to stay again without hesitation.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Charming old building right in the heart of Ribérac with very large comfortable accommodation over two rooms and an adjoining bathroom. Welcoming and attentive hostess, good breakfast including home-made jam, decent WiFi and a nice pool at the back made this a wonderful place to stay. Town centre shops, bars and restaurants within a short walk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room, lovely host, very welcoming

Pros: A fab b & b full of charm and character. The rooms are extremely comfortable and peaceful with tea and coffee making facilities. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Paul and Lesley were very accommodating and made the stay very pleasant with a personal touch. Breakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable and clean.
Cons: Riberac itself is not a tourist destination and is sleepy although does come to life on certain nights of the week. However, there is more than enough to do in the surrounding area although public transport is limited at best. Riberac is a fantastic base if you have hired a car.

Pros: Cornelia and Patrick were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. La Montagne is exquisite, from the beautifully appointed rooms to the gorgeous surroundings, it was apparent every decision had been thoughtfully made. We absolutely loved it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This B & B is located outside the little village of Allemans and is both large and amazing. From the electric gates at the entrance to the long drive and the welcome from both Patrick and Connie (our hosts) the experience was very enjoyable. Meeting Boss and Teddy (resident hounds) was an added bonus (Dachsund and Pyrenean Mountain dog respectively !) Our room and bathroom were both spacious and very comfortable (Wi-Fi particularly good for such a country location). Breakfast served in the main hall area in spectacular fashion - quite a feast and varied.
Cons: Nothing - a lovely experience with such friendly and charming hosts - Patrick and Connie. Merci beaucoup por tout - we will remember with fondness our visit to the Chartreuse Le Logis La Montagne !

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We had an amazing stay at Chartreuse Le Logis La Montagne. Connie and Patrick are lovely hosts that make you feel extremely welcomed. The rooms are very modern and extremely comfortable with all the necessary amenities. At night you can hear pins drop- we slept very well. The breakfast is outstanding; it was always our favourite part of the day. The hosts were so helpful that they assisted us with some last minute wedding details; which as you can imagine was extremely thoughtful!
Cons: Nothing at all -- We will be returning soon :-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was wonderful
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property, pool and rooms are beautiful and wonderfully modernized. The couple that owns and runs the B&B are fantastic and they have 2 friendly dogs. Breakfast was well provisioned and delicious. Patrick pays attention to details about each person and is hilarious. He’s also a wine salesperson!
Cons: The larger dog was a bit protective of the property at night, but we could have entered through another door from the parking to avoid him. There is little signage from the parking to the main entrance so it was a bit confusing on the first go. Minor things.

Pros: We had such a lovely time staying here. John and Jane were super accommodating and very easy going. It was nice that they were English because my children and I are American and it was easier for communicating. This property was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 children 10&12) but would be great for anybody. They had two small pool which were so refreshing during the heatwave and fun for the kids. It is located in the very relaxing countryside. You are about 30 minutes from Brantôme where there are many things to do. We stayed in a family suite with two bedrooms and our own bathroom and we were very comfortable. The breakfast was perfect with lots of choices to make everyone happy. Fortunately for us we opted to eat dinner there. All I can say is WOW! All of the dishes Jane prepared were simply wonderful and was the highlight of our stay. I would recommend this location to anyone and felt that it was very family friendly with the pools and big garden for exploring. We felt very comfortable there.

Cons: The mattresses need an update...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Me and my wife have been back here on a number of occasions as this place is simply wonderful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and packed with french character. The food is better than any restaurant we have found in the area and the owners will tailor the food to your dietary needs. Just sit back and enjoy. It is well worth a stay however short or long.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property is a beautiful French farmhouse - very old and quaint, in a gorgeous area of France. The owner was so lovely to us when we arrived so much later than we intended - around 11oc at night!! She made us feel so welcome on arrival , totally understanding the problems we had had getting to the B&B from friends we had visited about 10 miles away. The breakfast the following morning was absolutely delicious, seated in a lovely airy room with a beautiful view from the window. Both of the owners were so hospitable, so friendly towards us, that we really would love to stay there again.
Cons: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. A fabulous place to stay.
