Clean room for a low price. Location, location, location! (Not to say the area was beautiful, because it certainly wasn't. Just that it was easily accessed from the highway.) Place is a dive. Common areas old and musty. Didn't feel 100% safe. Pool out of order. Restaurant closed. 2nd time I stayed here though. On both occasions, vacant room next to me, door was ajar (creepy). Hotel side doors not locked at night.
price, beds, view, desk staff, snacks in lobby kind of shabby all over, soda machine out of everything
It was ~$60/night cheaper than the Hampton's across the street, but it's immediately apparent why. The check in and out was super simple, checked in an hour early and checked out an hour late with zero hassle. Staff was great. Room was spacious. Old building, not far from being run down. Took several minutes to call the elevator and ride to the 2nd floor. 2 double beds that seemed small, one of which was very creaky and worn, would have preferred a single queen. Pillows were not that good at all. Fire alarm went off like an old school bell for several minutes at about 1am. Location is not easy to get to, but nothing seems to be around here
The room itself was adequately clean. The overall facility felt uncomfortable and trashy.
Room ok. Hotel zero. Repairs being done all throughout. Dark dingy hall. Smell of paint and other repairs. No, we won't be back.
Rooms were dirty, elevators didn't work
Good price, easy to get to off the highway. Front desk person was super friendly and fast. It was 1 in the morning and the check in was quick and easy since all I wanted to do is sleep. They got us a room close to the door because we had to carry in our sleeping kids (she didn't have to do that). The hotel and the rooms had a weird odor. The beds were only full size not queen. It was tight when you are used to king sized beds. Breakfast was minimal.
the toilet flushed and the door to room locked. only if your car is not comfortable to sleep in.
the location was great, the front desk staff were great and breakfast was great. The AC didnt work in our first room, and the paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom. they moved us to a second room. the floor was wet and my white socks turned black after about 10 minutes of walking around in my socks. But the AC worked and there was no peeling paint. I had to wear shoes the entire time spent in the room, not relaxing. The cleaning staff were eating the leftover breakfast food as they were cleaning the rooms.
Clean facilities, good rate, good location, friendly staff The breakfast was not as good as expected. The eggs were cold and there was no meat.
The location is great except the whole area around it is under construction (all the roads). The noise of the room above me was horrible obviously the people had young children running around until late at night.
The employees were helpful and gracious. The ongoing construction makes getting to the hotel next to impossible. The parking lot was always full in the evenings and there are many large trucks in the spaces making it hard to navigate. We were left to park in the far back portion that is not well lit. The HBO was not working and the employees were not able to fix the problem.
Clean room, hot shower. Late-night front desk staff member was a bit brisk.
Convenient location, great value right outside Cleveland. Eggs could have been better, but the orange juice was great.
I got some excellent sunset pics. If you walk down the boardwalk to lighthouse you can see Eagles, Cranes, Storks and many bird species.. There were 3 ships docked in the area and a great sunset at the beach not to far from the pier. Very nice stay. We got an awesome pizza with wings from Carmen Pizza in Huron. Highly recommend.
It was very clean. I liked the wood floors! The staff was friendly!
I liked that it was close to the expressway. The rooms weren't as described on the internet or the same as the pictures on the internet. The staff was rude. The room looked like a hospital room only half as small. There was only free digital stations, no cable or satellite, also there wasn't a DVD player or blue-ray player to make up for the lack of stations. of the 50 that were suppose to come in according to the card by the TV, only 3 actually came in. The parking-lot was small and crowded. Online it said there was a refrigerator, there wasn't. when told about about this the receptionist responded rudely and laughed and said "Well guess that is too bad because we don't guarantee anything here except a bed and a toilet." I was extremely disappointed with this hotel and will not be going back. ever...
VERY clean and attractive rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff Very few rooms with a refrigerator. Had to go without.
Relatively close to Cedar Point. Cheap price. Clean Mattresses were uncomfortable and furniture in room felt dated. Walls are very thin, a lot of road and hall noise.
Room was clean, plenty of towels. Staff was friendly. TRAIN! The train rolls through at all hours of the night and balsts the whistle every time. It is VERY loud. Only stay here if you dont mind being awakened several times in the night.
Cost For the price: comfy beds, clean & updated rooms, nice bathrooms. This was a nice place to lay your head for the night. It did not include things like breakfast, coffee maker or refrigerator in room, or other amenities. They did have a pool and hot tub though. Great place for a one night stay!!! No bugs or anything. Overall a very nice Motel 6. Lobby and elevator could have been cleaner. Rooms were tip top shape though!
It was perfect for us. We were in the area for a couple of days and needed a hotel room to sleep and shower in. The price was $10-50 cheaper than others in the area and we were able to book two days ahead of our stay. The continental breakfast was pretty standard and well stocked by the two employees who were really friendly and hard working. The lobby decor is outdated but we weren't there to host a wedding or anything so it didn't matter to us. All in all, it's what we expected and needed and we were thankful to have it for the best hotel price in the area.
All very friendly staff despite being undestaffed and having poor facilities to work with. Breakfast was ok too. Old building, musty carperting, mold in pool area, understaffed service, lack of extra sheets, towels, and pillows.
I booked a king room with a hot tub online. The room they gave us the tub didn't work and they couldn't fix it or put us in another room that night so we decided to watch tv. Cable didn't work either. So we had to spend our first night of our honeymoon watching mantanaince people try to fix our cable. The manager told us she would refund us 1 of the nights for our trouble. Next night they put us in another room, which doesn't include fridge and microwave like it says online, but atleast the cable and the hottub worked. Manager is a liar and didn't even refund us half of 1 night. We were already an hour away when she applied the discount of a whopping 45 dollars. I will not ever stay at a quality Inn again. Very disappointed with the staff and with the rooms.
Was a very nice location with access to beach Don't come here if you want to sleep or take shower. AC unit hammered all night. Shower water temperature jumped from hot to cold thru 2 showers. Front desk made no attempt to compensate room when told of problem.
Liked room for the value. Wine Tour excursion was very good. Interesting shops with good sales. Room smelled bad - moldy; room cleaned after 5pm - no excuse for that; food overpriced and just mediocre; upon check-in found only 1 bar of face soap, no bath soap or bath mat.
The beach was clean, private and equipped with chairs and a few umbrellas. The drawback was that it is very far (no where near walking distance especially with children) from the hotel. You can request a golf cart transport, but we were not told this until after the fact. Clean room, nice public areas and breakfast ($)
Room smelled like mold or mildew or both
The customer service was fantastic. The desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful, especially when faced with frustrating challenges that come with an older hotel. Decent selection of channels. Overall, decent hotel. You get what you pay for. Old and outdated. More importantly, critical things were not working, such as the lights in the fitness room (which was located in the pool room so it was too hot and humid to properly exercise without passing out anyway). The shower drain was slightly clogged, so there was an inch or 2 of standing water while showering.
Great value, Great Breakfast, nice clean indoor poll, Hi-speed internet. I am corporate guy I will recommand to all corporate people to stay here. Courteous staff. So many restaurants in the area.
I loved this place, my new wife and I had are honeymoon here, in clevland and I LOVED the service, I am usually a high end type of guy, and thught this would be atrosious, but they made every skeptc okay, I mean we did get married in vegas for our first date, but w/e.\nThank YOU\nAlex B
I like Indoor Pool, great Breakfast and staff is very friendly.Lots of restaurant choices. I got more service than what I paid'
this is it. Not very close to Cedar Point, if that's what you want to do, probably 30-40 min drive. I was quite impressed with the shower pressure. The free breakfast was just cereral, stale doughnuts, bread for toasting, and oatmeal. If you just need a place to stay and don't care it ''screams HELLO 80's!'' then give it a whirl!
Hotel is located in a shopping/commercial area that is in dire need of an uplift. From cracked and pot-holed roads to flying debris and dust the area is just plain unpleasant. The hotel itself was in better repair but over-powered by other adjoining poorly maintained property. The hotel?s staff matched the mood by doing no more than necessary to get you checked in and out of their way. The room was clean but very dark and dingy. One glance at the breakfast food and area and we choose to dine else where. This is the first 3 star hotel we would never stay at again.
My room was on the second floor, but there was no elevator. The hallway reeked of stale smoke, although, thankfully, the room did not. They provide shampoo, but not creme rinse, annoying my wife. Breakfast was very limited (hope you like donuts). The good news is that the staff was very friendly. But, I have stayed in much better low-cost hotels. I won't stay here next time.
The rooms and the hotel was very clean. The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel had free internet services.
I found my stay at this hotel a good value for the services rendered.
Our experience here was terrible - we arrived late at night after a long day travelling and we were greeted by the rudest desk clerk we have ever experienced. We had been staying at other brand name hotels during our travel and decided to give a Best Western a try. Never again!
This hotel was a good value to book online. My husband and I were moving and weren't sure where we were going to stop for the night. It was easy to get a non-smoking room on short notice. The room was equipped with a small fridge and microwave, which was nice to store water bottles and snacks. We had one car, a U-Haul and 2 cats, the hotel was accommodating of everything. The pet fee was lower than other hotels in the area. The free breakfast included many healthy breakfast options like oatmeal, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Only 2 real complaints about the room. For one, there was some sort of iron sediment in the water coming from the room faucet. Coming from a town that regularly has iron sediment in the water, this was off-putting but not a real emergency. But I did not want to fill my water bottle from the tap. Secondly, the coffee maker in the room was badly melted. The "on" button was so deformed that the coffee maker did not work at all. I had to wait until I went down to the breakfast area to get a cup of coffee in the morning, which was inconvenient.
