The Hampton Inn Vernon, TX is the newest hotel in the area. We are located in North Central Texas, just south of the Red River and the Oklahoma border. Vernon is a rural city with tons of Texas charm. No matter what brings you to the area, you are sure to find great food, good fun, and friendly faces. The Vernon area is home to and located near several companies and institutions. American Electric Power, Georgia Pacific, Rhodia, Tyson Foods, Abundant Energy, North Texas State Hospital, Vernon College, Tangarie Alternate Energy, Atmos Energy, Verizon, the Waggoner Ranch, and many others are located in the Vernon area. We have a state of the art meeting room available and wired and wireless internet in each guest room, as well as, in the public areas. If leisure brings you to Vernon, our hotel is a great place to stay. Area attractions include: Red River Valley Museum, the historic Doan's Adobe House, Copper Breaks State Park, Lake Kemp, Santa Rosa Rodeo Grounds, and the historic downtown district. Vernon was recently accepted into the Texas Main Street Program, the state's prestigious downtown revitalization program administered by the Texas Historical Commission. Local businesses include several antique shops, Dew’s Handmade Boots, and several locally owned eateries. The Hampton Inn Vernon features the award winning photography of famed Texas photographer Wyman Meinzer. Mr. Meinzer has 20 photography books to his credit and over 250 magazine cover credits. His images have appeared in Smithsonian, National Geographic Books, Natural History, Time, Newsweek, Audubon, Sports Afield, Field and Stream, Outdoor Life, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Highways, BBC Wildlife, Das Tier, Horzu, and many others.
