the comfortable room, bathroom cleanliness. on the first floor, you hear the street noise too much.
location, staff helped us find restaurants and could not do enough for us
The location of hotel is so convenienet for the city tour and shopping. Also the garage facility is important for this city center although you have to pay it. The room we stayed is larger than our expectation of a 3 star hotel: It is difficult to find the hotel if you drive to, altohugh it is so close the center. It is better to recommend parking at a park next to Arena, and finding hotel to get a description of route as we did at the end.
good breakfast, helpful staff, clean rooms, etc. please note my address is: ashton keynes not keyners
Excellent location Very small room
we liked the location particularly, and the breakfast was also very good. our room was small but we had been told this on booking and as we were only there for a weekend it really didn't matter.
Hotel very close to Ampitheatre and restaurants. Secure parking. Difficult to find, even my top of the line GPS couldn't do it. Had to enlist the services of a local on his bicyle, everything else good.
The Hotel's location is perfect for site seeing within the city on foot, shopping and is close to several great restaurants.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of old town Verona. Rooms were luxiourious; breakfast items varied and plentiful Not a single complaint
I liked most the location, the helpful staff, and the quiet room.
Verona is a fun place to walk around from this centrally located hotel. We had the large corner suite on floor 1 above the very cool bookshop. The decor could possibly do with a refresh. Initially our room was very hot and the heater controls seemed to be broken but we were able to open the large windows and soak in some of the surrounding bustle. The staff are efficient but not very warm. Free internet access is good, the breakfast is average. The hotel is obviously in an old building and the decor could do with a refresh but still keeping true to current old world charm
The reception and dining room staff were courteous and helpful. We only stayed for two nights but were made to feel very welcome.
Everyone was kind and helpful. I arrived early and they kept my luggage so that I could explore the city while my room was getting ready. They also offered for me to enjoy breakfast and a cafe even though I had not stayed there the night before. Lovely place and great location. It's on a main street, but the room was quiet. As a female solo traveler, I felt safe and content. Plus Verona is a beautiful city to explore. I also took a train for the day to Lago de Gardo 20 minutes away. Beautiful as well.
classy accomodations and very friendly and helpful staff as well as excellent breakfasts
Perfect location good rooms
The personell was excellent, very important. Cleanliness good. Location for shopping excellent No
Great position close to all sites and shops of Verona. Very attentive friendly staff. Lovely bar and lounge areas Lack of natural light
The rooms were exceptionally well decorated with all possible comforts. It was quiet an relaxing and extremely beautiful the atmosphere was captivating and classy, the staff proficient, efficient and unobtrusive. I didn't like the view. The room was surrounded by construction works and this really spoiled the beauty.
location, bathroom and breakfast difficult parking
I really liked the hotel and will be going back there again. Very nice room/suite in probably the best location in Verona. Very helpful staff who were there when you needed them without being unduly solicitous. Room maintained to a very high standard. Good breakfasts. Couldn't tell from the info in the room or on the phone itself how to get room service but still managed to get early morning tea thanks to the really helpful staff.
I like the style of that hotel .It is an old charming hotel with stylish saloons and elegant rooms no
Excellent location, genuine and historical venue, great people, good quality-price relation If window opened at night it can be noisy
The attention to detail at the hotel, in the training of the staff, in the desing of the cooman areas and sleeping rooms, and in the elegant breakfast are first rate. The front desk sent us to a highly over-done and over-priced restaurant, representing it as "simple, but good." In 20+ trips to Italy, this was probably the least simple restaurant I have been in, and it was horribly over-priced.
The location was absolutely perfect! Right in the center of the old town, with shops, restaurants and night life right outside the door. The staff was very friendly and eager to help out. Great stay - will defintely try to book again. Reaching downtown via car is a little tricky because of all the one way streets and pedestrian routes but worth it once you arrive at the destination.
The location is excellent and the decor and facilities are extremely tasteful. The rooms have originality and character. The shower was difficult to use without having water all over the floor. The bed-side reading lights were unsatisfactory.
The hotel was really very charming and very comfortable. A little of the street noise from the location but well worth it to be in the heart of the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially thee waiters in the morning serving breakfast! We hope to be back to Hotel Gabbia D'Oro and will be recommending it to our friends. Can't think of anything we didn't like, wish we could have been there longer!
Great boutique hotel in city center of Verona. Service and staff very helpful and always have a big smile. Rooms are quiet, clean, and nicely furnished
This is a beautiful hotel. It is in the best location in Verona. The service was impeccable and the staff was superb.
very nice and wonderful hotel
I came to the hotel early but could check in anyway. Not very helpful when I wanted to know the times for the flightbuses from the trainstation.
The cleanliness of the room and bathroom. The friendly and professional service during breakfast. And a professional front desk team.
The vicinity of the center, cleanliness of our room, price of the hotel and the possibility of using private parking of the hotel
location is great, staff is very friendly and helpful -
location and helpful attentive staff
the staff was very kind, the hotel was great, the room I stayed in was also great. The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to take a few walks in the old city. It was a bit expensive, but ok.
Excellent location (a little difficult to find by car due to one way streets but on foot very close to everything), very large and nice room Despite prominent signs everywhere regarding smoking being prohibited in the hotel, when someone smoked a cigar in the corridor outside our room and the smoke penetrated our room, the hotel staff at the Reception Desk were rude, unsympathetic and uninterested. A room of much lower standard was offered but no discount forthcoming. The only other offer made was to upgrade to a suite at greater cost
Very convenient location, comfortable, very good buffet breakfast by Italian standards. The rooms backing on to the laneway can get a lot of traffic noise.
The location of this hotel is perfect for enjoying the historic center of Verona. The staff was very helpful.
very near the most interesting places
Almost next-door to the Arena and within easy walking distance to the train station. Room in the new hotel building (separate from the Reception building) was comfortable, clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would have appreciated a coffee/tea-maker in the room, but it's absence may be normal for 3-star hotels in Europe.
The staff at reception spoke english and were helpful. Our room accommodated 4 people reasonably well for a European hotel and was comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful with a wide selection of drinks and food. The location was very close to the old town centre and thus tourist attractions were within walking distance. The hotel room had a great booklet that suggested suitable walking routes with historical information in several languages.
The guys Jimmy and William from general services at the hotel area great! Very poor service at the reception. Reservation was not made properly and I had to be transferred to another hotel for 1 night. They have this "apartments"away from the hotel building that is not practical. Shuttle to take breakfast is ridiculous. I was not informed at the reservation.
very good location:100 meters from the historical center and only 4 min by bus from the train station. the breakfast was continental, but rich and good quality.the room was not big but very nice and refurnished, the bathroom spacious and functional. Above all, the bed and the pillows were really nice and comfy. the price i paid at the time was ok, but i wouldn't pay the prices i see now.
Very good location in centre of Verona near main sites
As a solo traveller and a female I did not like being placed in a room separate from the main hotel
Central location. Great breakfast.
The modern and renovated suites wrapped in ancient buildings. The umbrellas. Wi-fi access is still with user and psw.
position was great could walk to everything. Breakfast was great.
The location was perfect. The hotel can not offer much of a comfort though if you are in Verona for a few days it is a very good option.
Proximity to Arena and main tourist areas
Great breakfast, beautifully designed interiors. Great hotel!
Location and free bike hire Noisy, strangers wandered into our room, we were given a key to a room which already had a guest checked into it but luckily they weren't in. Man on reception was hopeless and when the room we were originally given was non smoking, it smelled like cigars had been smoked in there. He also kept answering the phone instead of dealing with the customers on reception.
The location and services value for money. The room is narrow and small to keep the luggage. The room temperature wasn't working.. it was too warm during the winter time.. so I had to open the window for a fresh air.
The rooms were big and nice. The breakfast was also good and Internet was free of charge in entire of the hotek
the staff and location was perfect
very good service and value for money. location is the best in verona. room is ok. breakfast perfect. free secure valet parking!
The proximity to the town centre, the stylish decor, the view from the balcony. room a little too small for three people.
It was very close to the city centre I did think that the room was dark. The shutters were partially closed and there were trees outside the window. A good lamp in the room would have been useful.
Staff very helpful in location of places of interest. Liked map we were given.
The hotel was nice, in very good location. Nice staff. Free internet
Good location, price and staff. Excellent breakfast and wi-fi service. Decor a little dated and teutonic. Lacking atmosphere for a long term stay, but excellent business and city trip choice
Location and breakfast
good location, very comfortable accommodation and very helpful staff N/A
I enjoyed the friendly and understanding staff, who, despite my lack of knowledge of the Italian language, were able to help me in English. Breakfast was great too.
The hotel was very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also excellent with a good choice. Absolutely spot on location.
Great Location - a little hard to find. Nice lobby and breakfast Room was very basic - but clean
Had a very pleasant stay; very close to city center, piazza bra and arena Only thing we didn't like was not being able to have air conditioning; my wife and I both have a medical condition where our body temperature sometimes fluctuates. room was very, very hot when we first entered it. what helped to counter not having air conditioning when we needed it was being able to open the big window in the room. had a room towards the back of hotel, and noise level wasn't bad.
Main attractions are within walking distance from the hotel yet still away from the hustle and bustle of the main center. The main train station, Verona Porta Nuova, is approximately a 15 minute walk from the hotel as well. Rooms are well insulated from outside noise. The elevators when in use make a roaring sound which can be bothersome if your room is near them. I requested a room change which the staff helpfully accomodated.
Good service by helpful and accommodating staff and this compensates for simple room and the fact that internet has to be paid for (in my case it didn't work even I wanted to pay). Good breakfast. Internet should be free....and no good as I failed to connect
I liked most things- it was very enjoyable. And the breakfast was excellent. More info in the room about things to do in Verona
It was in a great location in town. We had walking access to the sites we wanted to see.
There was car parking available. It was located in the right place. Ridiculously bad value for money. Surly reception staff. Inefficient breakfast staff. At breakfast, first in gets fed, but later on - tough.
We appreciated the hospitality, friendliness and help that this hotel's staff provided us during our stay.
Excellent location; nice rooms; good breakfast
Proximity to town centre garage was not very good and the man who moved the cars around was not very competent
We found the staff consistently helpful and pleasant. The location is great, and we were very happy with the Europa. No
The location is strategic. The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful especially the man who was on am duty on the 23.10.2010. ( His shift was over at about 8.30pm ). Sorry I didn't get his name. Nothing
Lots of power points and good strategic lighting. Trouble had been taken by the staff regarding our query about an elevator. Actually it was one of the most convenient rooms we have ever had.
Location within walking distance of main town Very noisy at night in the streets below
Excellent location, breakfast and comfort. International standard
Localization Difficult park car.
Excellent location, just a short stroll from Piazza Bra and the old town of Verona. Gorgeous decor, comfortable room. Modern, spotless bathroom. Small hotel with an intimate feel. Charming staff. Small bar with little atmosphere, though not really necessary as plenty of bars just outside.
convenient position to arena
The location is great to access several touristic areas. Although the locatios is good, the street where the hotel is located is not good.
Situated 200 m from Piazza Bra, very convenient.
the location, staff and the hotel itself all contributed to the experience. no
There was a lovely selection for breakfast. The computer in the lobby for guests was a great convenient. The location of the hotel is close to main attractions. It was a hard to find at first.
Good location in the heart of town. They nickle and dimed the guests.
The room was comfortable. The location was great. The front desk staff was superlative.
Location and breakfast. Small and not great value.
The location of the hotel. Amazing bathrooms. Great design .Lovely shower with lots of room. Found the bedroom a bit small for three people. However we were only there for one night so the room was acceptable
The location of the hotel was excellent near the main tourist attractions and in the town centre. I was impressed by the hotel cleanliness. Nothing
The staff was very helpful and everything was excellent.
Location, hotel staff No bar, rooms being renovated while I was there, noise from bathrooms above my room
The location was perfect, just minutes away from the roman theater and close to shopping and restaurants.
The hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. The front desk staff could speak english which was helpful to a non-italian speaker, but were willing to help me learn some italian also. I was traveling alone, so I was happy about the safety of the area and that there was 24 front desk staff. The buffet breakfast was very good. Eggs, meat, cheese, bread, fruit, cereal, juices etc. The wifi internet worked in my room and a computer was available in the lobby for guest use.
excellent location, near the main square but in a quiet street no tea and coffee making facilities in the room
The friendly and helpful staff
The location was ideal. A fairly quiet street just of the city centre.
The location is absolutely outstanding. You can site see and shop right out your door, and return to your hotel a few times a day with ease. The staff was so nice! My room was over the front entrance, and I could hear all the hotel guests coming home after later dinners/nights out. A bit too much noise, but I'm sure there are other rooms without this problem.
The room was nice and cosy, brakfast until 11am is a plus, the structure is new and clean. The parking was a little uneasy to reach and expensive.
cleanliness and location breakfast
Nice and spacious rooms and quiet location near centrum Very small breakfast room
I really like the location. It was very close to the center of Verona. And also I was impressed by the breakfast. Nothing.
Very clean, large room
New hotel in the center of Verona with very quite and well equiped rooms and secured parking.
The location is great! I walked to Juliet's balcony and the arena in less then10 minutes. Our room has stylishly decorated and spotless. The free breakfast had everything. You could have eggs done your way and fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, etc. the place is perfect
Very central for tourist, just minutes walk away from the main tourist attraction "Areana di Verona"
The hotel was clean, room and bathroom in good shape (I guess that what counts) and breakfast was decent. The location is 10-15 minutes away from the city center and 7-minute walk to the train station. We arrived after 9 pm, staff during the night does not speak a word of English and those during the day struggle with the language. a couple of times we asked for hot water in the evening: one time staff member did not understand what we asked, the second time we were rejected. Loud noise from next door construction adjacent to the hotel property (Sep 2010). While not a hotel's fault, be prepared to be woken up at 7 am with loud construction noises. We visited 5 cities in Italy on a budget, this was our least favorably experience in a hotel. We are not demanding clients, nor picky, we went to Italy to explore the country, not stay in the room or eat breakfast. Maybe it was the circumstances, or maybe we got lucky that way...
Very clean and comfortable hotel, nice breakfast included, friendly staff. Good location, not far from train station and within easy walking distance to town centre.
budget one night stay 10 minutes walk from the central bus station-railroad station ( porta nuova ) from there connection to the airport ( aerobus -connection ).Walk to the city center ( arena ) 12 minutes no airco in the room . Breakfast buffet is good but not exceptionally elaborate .
The very convenient location with respect to both the railway station and the Arena. The bed was not altogether comfortable, the room contained only the bare necessities, and breakfast was quite dull.
Reception staff and cleaning staff very friendly and efficient. Location as good as it could be if you require regular access to both the main town and the railway station. Hotel situated in quiet backstreet but area feels safe even late at night Hotel is over priced. Breakfast is adequate but no more. Management were uncommunicative. No mention of or apology for noise from building site next door which wakes everyone up at 07.30 sharp each day and prevents use of breakfast terrace
Location - Away from the busy tourist areas and very quiet. About 10 minute walk to either the arena or train station. We got lost trying to find the hotel from the station but once we had better directions it was an easy walk.Outdoor court yard for breakfast was very pleasant. Room was spartan but serviceable - A/C worked well and was very much appreciated as the temperatures were 33 + during our stay. staff at reception were very helpful. Would suggest opening the courtyard in the evening - it would be nice to sit there and have a drink.
located near the center, satisfactory overall; staff helpful
Some noise from adjoining building site during the day.
Location - short walks to station and to Arena. Friendly reception staff. Single room cramped. Currently noisy on Monday morning due to workmen in building next door. Verona is much more expensive than other cities - e.g. Padova.
