Bed was small, couch in room was stained. Decor in room didn't match/was outdated. Not the same quality as a US Hampton Inn.
We didn´t stay at this hotel due to the fact that when we arrived it was overbooked (we booked 2 weeks before) and they arranged for us a different hotel. It was a 5 star hotel called Hyatt Regency only 5 minutes away and this review is for that hotel we were sent to. We got offered the same price, the same terms and conditions (free breakfast, the room type and free parking, free internet). The lobby was huge, luxurious. The gardens and swimming pool were very nice and clean with lots of tropical trees, plants and flowers, full of birds and wildlife. I was very quiet inside and outside. The breakfast was the best we ever experienced in any other 4* or 5* hotel in Mexico. Breakfast is served for a very long time between 6 a.m and 12 at noon. Huge selection of foods and drinks. You could have allmost everything you can think of including cooked food and meat and cheese, bread, cookies, cakes, fruits, vegetables, salads, scrambeled egs, joghurt, milk, juices, coffee, tee, baked potatoes, rice, chicken, pork and you name it. Really outstanding buffet breakfast of the highest quality possible. The beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. The bathroom had a really good shower which you could hold in your hand and not just a pipe attached in the wall with hot water and good water pressure. The toiletries were 100% natural and even organic, made in Mexico which was a very nice surpise for us, becasue we use only that kind of cosmetics for many years now and to see it in a hotel bathroom was a huge surprise even for a 5* hotel. The rooms were very quiet and had great views in to the gardens and the city from the 6th floor. Around the hotel there are nice parks for a great relaxing walk and easy parking. If great food is what you are looking for then definitely don´t look any futher and book only here. You will for sure not be dissapointed.
The rooms did not look like in a 5 star hotel. It looks like an older hotel with older furnishings and has a musty smell in the bedroom and also in the hallways where additionally the A/C vents need to be cleaned and desinfected because we noticed pretty large ammounts of green and brown mold inside and around the vents which could be a major health problem for some people. The A/C system and its outlets is definitely a problem and needs to get a full and detailed cleaning in the entire hotel as soon as possible! The bathroom lacks a hair dryer and the A/C was very old. Price is too high and could be lower.
Bed comfy shower great room clean
Being pestered for a tip come on Hilton pay ur staff so they don't have to pester the guests
No surprises here, you know you are staying in a chain hotel with decent rooms and decent cleanliness.
What is happening to shower caps?! It is becoming harder and harder to have a shower cap in a hotel. Hamptons Inn tells me to relax that it has me covered with everything I need but when I asked at front desk they say NO like I asked for the strangest thing!
Loved the waffles for breakfast. Good overall selection of foods.
The internet was slow n the evening with many breaks in connectivity.
