Pros: This was the most fantastic find. The room were designed to a high standard. The outdoor space was magical. The owner served us a complimentary glass of wine from his own vineyard. The grounds were beautiful with mature trees, ponds and statues. The chateaux itself was decorated in beautiful light colours with glass ornaments. Breakfast was first class served on designer crockery with silver accompaniments. We were sorry to leave such a lovely space and hope to come back again one day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. We stayed with three little children in the family room, which is made up out of three rooms and a bathroom. We explored the area and went to two restaurants that Jean Claude recommended. The breakfast was impressive, the table setting beautiful and Marie Noëlles Peach crumble so delicious!! We hope to visit again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a memorable stay! The rooms were clean and comfortable with spectacular views. Our hosts were very hospitable and spoke excellent English. The property is situated in a sleepy small country village so it was very quiet at night. The only noises were the frogs in the pond. The breakfast which we were served was spectacular and one we will never forget!! Everything was presented in such an elegant fashion and our hosts had thought of everything - down to the little bowls the children ate from. The fresh bread and croissants were delicious and the spread of homemade jams incredible! It was clear that our hosts went out of their way to complete the experience and make it feel very Luxurious. We will definitely be back!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: An uniquely decorated, historically interesting property. If you are keen on antiques & the 18th century, you will be in heaven! The owners were very helpful and extremely kind (we lost our entrance key one evening). Our room was large, the attached bathroom was the same size and had a wonderful shower. Breakfast was delicious - lovely home-made jams & local produce. Wifi could be erratic, but that is the case throughout Beaujolais. The property was easy to find, as the local historical site is sign-posted. Parking was nearby, shady areas were available. The service was really exceptional - merci beaucoup!
Cons: Limited storage for clothing. The duvet was really not needed in summer - a single cool sheet would have been better!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host. Superb B&B Even a normal room is a suite compared to other residences. Not too far from the highway, but very quiet. Perfect for a stop over on your way to or from the south of France.
Cons: Concerning the B&B nothing. The village is maybe a bit too quite. But most of you will have a car at your disposal, right?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful ‘mini castle’ with very kind hosts and delightful breakfast. Stunning room and throughout the house antiquities. We loved it!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staying at La Chanoinesse is a unique experience for someone who looks for authenticity of the rural France. The village is charming and the views are magnificent. The La Chanoinesse is featured as the 18th century mansion, with comfortable rooms and the chamber of wonders, where we could explore with my son lots of items from different countries. The special treat of the talk with the owner of La Chanoinesse, who is very kind and knowledgeable. Also the breakfast was amazing, very personality. We can only recommend this place for someone who is tired of the chain hotels.

Pros: The double-bed was one of the most comfortable we've had in a long time. Firm, not hard - one person moving on one side could not be felt on the other side. People we chatted with at breakfast had the same opinion. Very friendly welcome, great food, good wines. The host made lots of efforts to cater for my wife's gluten intolerance. We will return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts are extremely kind and welcoming. Taking great care to ensure we had an enjoyable stay with our baby son. The place is beautiful, quiet and in a perfect location to visit Beaujolais. We even did a Tasting session on site and bought wine directly from the property since they do their own wine.

She also booked us a table at a really good restaurant and was able to suggest places to visit. Breakfast was very good, and served at a time to suit us.
Cons: Nothing really because this is a 15th century chateau. We visited when there was a surge in temperatures and air conditioning would have made us more comfortable, but it is not something I would have expected in this delightful building.

Cons: Breakfast cost was extra to room price.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, warm welcome by home owners. Amazing tea and yummy chocolates. Thank you.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. The bathroom was great but the water pressure low.
Cons: First of all is that there is NO WINDOW in the bed room. Just a big door to the terrace. Makes sleeping very uncomfortable due to a lack of air. Couldn't open the door since the cat wanted to come in. Then there was no curtain for the big door. Privacy was only achieved by letting down the shutters which made everything like in a box. Very unpleasant. Chez Nous is a fitting description since the room are basically connected to their living room. We could hear them talk and wondered what they heard from us. Hard to find, came with van and small trailer. Anything bigger wouldn't have worked. If there would be a window in the room or a skylight it would be fine. We also couldn't find a source of heat that could be turned up if we would have wanted.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The house is located in the middle of the Vineyards. It is brand new, modern, and very well maintained. Good parking for guests.
Cons: There was no sign indicating "Chez Nous" and no lighting whatsoever outside, until after we arrived. That made it hard to find the place in the dark. And the house number was not in our GPS, also complicating things a little bit.

Pros: Beautiful Villa, underfloor cooling, stunning bathroom and decorated really well.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent

Pros: Lovely historic house which has been renovated by the owners. Large garden with private parking, a fantastic place for a family to stay. Hosts were so welcoming, and hospitable. Pros: We had a lovely welcome from David, the owner upon arrival and a little history about his grandparent's former house that he and his family have restored. The property is very French and charmingly quirky. Rooms are huge with comfy beds and modern bathrooms. Views are of the neighbouring vineyards. Parking is secure in the courtyard (access through gates) but you do need a car. We had an excellent dinner at a nearby restaurant called l'Esprit Beaujolais in a village called St Etienne des Ouilleres (about 7km away) and slept really well. The breakfast was delicious with fresh croissants and pains au chocolats along with yogurt, bread, jams etc (much of it homemade). I think this B&B represents excellent value for money and a real taste of rural France with Lyon the Beaujolais wines on your doorstep.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were big and spacious, and the beds lovely and comfortable with luxury cotton bed linen. Lovely rural setting in a beautiful part of Beaujolais.
Cons: All good!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was a very special and unique place to stay. The owner was very accommodating and the place was so relaxing! The kids could wander around freely and there was plenty for them to do. The terrace was relaxing and breakfast very nice! We would definitely return!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Delicious breakfast, beautiful location and house. The room was huge, bathroom was small but everything was there and had a spacious shower. Host was nice, present but not "in your face".
Cons: This place would be heaven if the garden was perfectly kept. Will definitely feel like a huge park then!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved David’s warm welcome and the fact that he still greeted us with open arms upon our arrival, late at night yesterday evening. We adored the historical beauty of the house and the way its been lovingly restored and respected. We got the feeling that the manoir can tell some very interesting story. We would love to visit again!
Cons: Nothing - we liked everything. We highly recommend this place.

Pros: Very good, we will come here again.

Pros: David was really friendly and the location perfect for a stop half way to Spain. The family room was nicely furnished and comfortable and the house was beautiful. Breakfast on the decking was a highlight . Definitely recommend.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very cosy house with a lot of tiny details. Lovely room for three. Good beds. Very nice garden with some swings for children. We were very tired after a long road trip and went to bed early (at 8 p.m). Though the owners had a party with family that night (it was a national holiday), we didn't hear the noise and enjoyed the comfort! The breakfast was good, especially the homemade cherry- and apricot jams. Great place for a short stay!

Cons: The owner was very nice, helpful.

Cons: Very nice and clean room, the hostess was also very nice. She spoke a little bit English but takes the time to understand you. We got coffee at our arrival and our kids of 5 and 8 had a lot of fun with the football table in the hall. Breakfast was also very cosy and tasty.

Cons: Room was a little small.

Pros: Food was excellent.
Cons: Room was very small and the bathroom didn’t have a door, just a curtain to pull across. Not very private!!

Pros: Location and food
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in this hotel as it is in the region where Beaujolais wine is produced. The town was also an inspiration for a humorous novel I read many years ago. The hotel and town are spot on for these reasons. It was the August holidays when we were there so the already very small town's shops were closed but we were not there for shopping so did not affect our stay. There is a secret hidden gem of a bar in the square which is delightful and a must-go which I guess makes a stay.
Cons: Could introduce some outside seating for guests to have a choice of a simple meal of their own bread and cold meats with wine. However the hotel is more a restaurant with a hotel attached, so the set up is focused on their serving food. Dinner at the hotel was memorably delicious, deserving of the Michelin rating, extensive number of courses and very expensive but a great experience.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was awesome!!! And although it has a Michelin rating, it did not break the budget. Worth every penny. The staff were responsive, lovely hotel. I cannot think of any faults.
Cons: The hotel is going through a remodel so be sure that your room is not adjacent to the construction. Although this happened to me the hotel made every effort to correct the inconvenience and a temporary issue. I was please by their efforts to make me comfortable. Just a heads up.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Friendly staff and great food
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location in Beaujolais country
Cons: The price of the cold. And we ca né en not order what we want. My Wife asked for Duck and had veal!
6.8 Good
Pros: Beautiful village in the heart of Beaujolais vineyards. The food was exquisite and bed very comfortable.
Cons: Car parking is not on site but around village. Notice at reception showed cost of rooms; we paid 100 euros for a superior double yet marked price was only 90 euros. Nowhere to sit and enjoy a drink with other guests before dinner; aperitifs are served at the table. Was asked which type of water we preferred- still or sparkling. I requested sparkling yet received still. Dinner took so long that I didn't get the last glass of the wine flight as we went up to bed. Someone then rang our room to say we'd missed our little mignardises- sweet treats. They offered to bring them up to the room - but they never arrived! All a bit bizarre. Maybe we were tired after a long journey so didn't appreciate the service as much as other guests though as it was very busy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and the staff we very professional and extremely polite and helpful.
Cons: Quite noisy on the main road with agricultural vehicles going passed the hotel during the early hours of the morning. Of course, this was because it was harvest time so probably busier that normal.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and Michelin star restaurant

Pros: The Amazing breakfast, the terrasses (several of them!) And the incredible view...!!! Finally the owners were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you!
Cons: The mosquitoes, but that's hardly something you can control ;) just bring some repellent in the warmer season. Also, the rooms are kept fresh, but the air upstairs is still quite warm. Maybe a simple ventilator would help.

Pros: Perfect host, great area

6.3 Good
Pros: Mrs. Alice was very friendly and the dinner and breakfast very well. The room very nice and the place very quite. I think it is a place to go for holiday but not for bussiness.
Cons: Not so comfortable if you have to work, very small table and poor light and the bathroom was not in the room, fortunately I was the only guest and I could have it just for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: V welcoming owner, delicious food and wine. The room was well appointed and v comfortable. Alice v helpful in directing us to local wine producers.
Cons: It is not a dislike but an observation. Signage to the chamrbre d'hote could have been better as it was in the countryside with lots of little roads taking you all over the vineyards.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Complete , clean and up-to- date Chambre d'Hote ! Includes a good breakfast and with very friendly hosts. We would love to come back!
Cons: None

Very friendly dogs added to overall experience but may not suit everyone.
Cons: Signposting to location inadequate especially when negotiating narrow unlit mountain roads at night.
