Opt for a Room with a View
Several guests recommended booking a room with a balcony facing the town for great views over the city and surrounding countryside.
Consider Transportation
It's advisable to have a car as the hotel's location may not be easily accessible without one, especially due to limited bus services from the town.
Be Mindful of Insect Repellent
Some guests reported encountering mosquitoes, so it's wise to bring along insect repellent to avoid bites.
Check for Air Conditioning
The absence of air conditioning or fans in the rooms was noted by guests, so consider this if visiting during warmer months.
Note the Steep Walk
The hotel is situated on a hill, and while it offers great views, some guests found the walk back from town quite steep, which may not be suitable for everyone.
Consider Group Bookings
Some guests mentioned that the hotel seemed more geared towards group bookings, such as coach tours, which may impact the experience for other guests.
Room Selection Tip
If you prefer a quieter stay, consider requesting a room away from the lift to avoid potential noise disturbances.
Language Consideration
While the staff were described as friendly and helpful, some had difficulties with English, so it might be helpful to have some basic Italian phrases handy.
Dining Consideration
If you plan to dine at the hotel, note that the restaurant and bathroom were described as dated by some guests, and there were comments about an 'old' smell in the restaurant.
Bring a Car
Due to the location and limited bus services, having a car is recommended for more convenient access to nearby attractions and activities.
