Very good Local dinner and friendly service
Very hospitable host.
Cold floor, unheated toilet room.
We stayed here as we were attending a family wedding in Tuscania (approx. 15-20 mins away) so was a perfect location. We had two apartment style rooms with a large kitchen which was shared between the rooms. We had a lovely balcony which overlooked the pool. Beds were comfy, shower was great, site was brilliant. Pool was lovely and not many people about so we basically had it to ourselves and the food was brilliant and very reasonably priced. If I was in this area again I would defiantly stop here.
When we arrived we found that there had been an electrical problem and subsequently there was no water. Although this was fixed, the owner tried everything possible to get away without telling us so we didn’t find out until they had to tell us (once we had already checked in). We was not bothered as we understood it was being fixed however if they told us beforehand or as soon as we got there we would of gone to the shop etc as we kept waiting about but had an event that night so it did delay us. However the water soon was fixed. Also I think they should provide bikes so you can go cycling around the lovely countryside, that would be a nice touch.
Loved the countryside location and staff were very friendly. We were told the hotel was fully booked but barely saw anyone else.
There were a lot of bugs in the pool. It wasn't cleaned while we were there. Breakfast was very poor and the rest of the restaurant food was ok but could be improved. We stayed for a few days and would of spent a lot more money in the restaurant if it wasn't so bad.
The location was truly beautiful and easy to get to if you're driving from Rome. The pool area was really nice, although not particularly clean and the rooms were comfortable and simple with much needed air conditioning - Everything worked for us, although one of the other rooms didn't have electricity for the first night. Drinks are cheap, Wine was ok and the staff are friendly and accommodating.
Having spent a large amount of time over the past few years traveling around Italy and eating, ALOT of local food (my favourite cuisine). I've come to expect a certain standard of food from any Agriturismo claiming to sell traditional Italian cuisine. The pasta dishes prepared here, was honestly of a very low standard. The Carbonara in particular resembled a spaghetti omelette swimming in a pool oil, the sauce hadn't been emulsified at all and the Coppa Lardons were completely cold and slimy - these dishes were the furthest thing from traditional, in fact you'd find more traditionally prepared pasta as a high street chain in the UK (Genuinely!). It was just lazy, every dish had been slapped together without any care. for example Some of our pasta arrived over cooked and some undercooked, for the exact same dish. The ravioli filling had split and become scrambled egg - Which i've never seen before. Even the truffle was tasteless. This place has SO much potential, with slightly better service and significantly better, simpler food, they would have made a killing from us. In the end we took to eating in nearby Tuscania which was genuinely incredible, authentic and cheaper than any of the options they serve at the B&B. We found a fantastic restaurant where we had Swordfish pasta for €8 each. I do feel bad writing this, considering how friendly the staff were, but something needs to be done about the standard of the food served, if I honestly thought the Chef was really trying, I wouldn't be this detailed, but I know that anyone could do a better job with worse ingredients - the route cause of the issue is a lack of care and attention to detail. The food served should never have left the kitchen. The fact that the other restaurants nearby were so drastically better confirms in my mind that this review is fair, I just hope that it's constructive and not dismissed.
