Everything was so good. Breakfast was yummy. Front desk staff nice and helpful.
Proximity to friends and airport
Great staff and breakfast
The staff was top notch. Breakfast was great every morning. Bar food was also good.
Bed was a little uncomfortable. Room was too warm AC was turned off because it was December I assumed. But our room stayed at 78 degrees. Much to hot for good sleeping.
The staff when I spoke with them was helpful and professional. Overall cleanliness of the hotel was very good. The hotel is relatively new, but kind of on the edge of a good area. Breakfast was good each morning that I was there.
Called the hotel several times during my travel to the location due to airline issues. Phone rang as many as 50 times with no one picking up. Same thing happened when I called the front desk from my room. Not sure what the issue was since the staff was always courteous and helpful when I interacted with them in person. Room was only cleaned 2 out of the 4 days that I was there even though I was out of the room from either mid-morning until late night or early morning until dinner each day. Not in the hotel's control, but construction site across the street is very loud. Sleeping in on a weekday not really an option.
Thanks to the staff for providing bleach-free linens for our room.
Breakfast was delicious, but the serving setup could be improved. One morning there was over 20 people in line the entire time I was in the area.
Great value for money
Just a train ride away on the redline.
Good value hotel
Good value hotel, got to stay for 5 nights. The rooms are spacious enough and the bed was VERY confortable. The offer noise machines and claim Dc is very noisy, it was not needed at all. The complimentaly buffet breakfast was barely ok and expect queues if you go after 8:30.
The pool is very small, just good enough for a spash and expect it to be full of people.
I really liked the modern furniture. the TV with cable. The bed was soft and comfy.
My only complaint was the view I had. I had an ugly view of an empty lot.
Friendly staff. Rooms are clean
When you travel with kids, microwave is always useful. Rooms have a fridge, but not a microwave...
Good location/clean but too $
We walked everywhere. Its only a 20 minute walk to the senate building. There are also fast causal restaurants a block away or the metro if you need it.
The $50 (taxes included) a night for parking is ridiculous. I know other hotels nearby are similar but its not downtown DC and the lot they use is right next to the hotel. Also the breakfast was like any other bad hotel breakfast (don't believe the other reviews).
The neighborhood was so bad that we did not check in.There was no parking and the surroundings did not look safe. I would not walk from street parking to the hotel with my wife and two teenage girls. The hotel is attached to a wheel shop. We went to Alexandria, Va and stayed at a Residence Inn by Marriotte instead. The website for this hotel is very misleading.
The breakfast was the best I've ever had. The staff was professional and friendly. The metro was in walking distance.
The neighborhood was a little sketchy. Don't be on the streets after dark.

No matter why they come to D.C; they all need to find a comfortable place to stay. When choosing the best location, the Hyatt Place D.C./U.S. Capitol is a great hotel. It is in the NoMa neighborhood and is part of where all of the action is. The rooms here are stylish, modern, and luxurious. The hotel is located just steps from Union Station, the Smithsonian Institute, Ford’s Theatre, the U.S. Capitol, and Capitol One Arena. There are many dining options nearby as well and guests of the hotel will get a chance to try the many flavors that D.C. has to offer.
