The bathroom drain smelt quite bad which tainted the room
The property was looking a bit tired (mainly in passageways although the room looked like it had been partly refurbished. Fan in bathroom didn't work. Lookout not great to busy/noisy highway so couldn't really have door open to balcony. Reception staff very nice but hotel closed at 6.30pm on week night & 3pm Sunday, so we had to carry our bags around town until we left at 5pm.
Should have been told about the short cut to town which we found later & could have saved a lot of walking.
There room was lovely and well presented. The staff were very accommodating from confirming sleeping arrangement prior to arrival and also on check in.
We come to wellington on the first weekend of October every year and I was going to book here again becuase we were very happy with the accommodation, but am very disappointed to find the price has gone up by $600!!! That is far too much and the only reason is because of WOW, its not very fair.
Building is old and tired. Room needed new paint and carpet was stained and smelt. TV not working either. Rooms very small for adults. No room for luggage. Very noisy highway outside window. Parking was a nightmare and cost extra.
It was a perfect location
It could have used a second comfortable chair. After day after day of sightseeing, 2 good chairs would have been perfect.
