Pros: It was perfect! The ambiance was beyond our expectations. Can't say enough good things about it. And Gabby, the concierge, was above and beyond. If I'm ever back in Saint Paul there's no question about where to stay. Will miss you Saint Paul Hotel!!!
Cons: The only thing is we didn't know was that the mini bar and in-room treats were weight activated. When you picked the bottle of nuts up, you were charged. But as soon as we realized this and brought it to their attention, there was no problem in waiving the fees.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. I would come back to stay again.
Cons: It's always a beautiful place to stay. I have been there many times and will go back yearly. Very friendly staff and easy check in and check out.
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Thought the fee to park overnight $30 was a bit high for the market (St. Paul) and then not enough staff in AM to get car so we waited about 15 minutes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was well done. Wonderful, kind staff. The St Paul grill, the high end restaurant located in the hotel, served us the best meal we have had in ages. The rooms are understated elegant. The lobby is elegant with huge crystal chandeliers. We highly recommend.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: All was excellent except for the parking as I was pulling a trailer.
Cons: Parking was crowded, but good for cars.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Location good except that it is on 35W which is being redone but very convenient to where we were going.
Cons: One of the shower doors was not on track. Possible safety issue? It made me wonder if the housekeeper had actually cleaned the shower area as she should have or she/he would have known the door was not on track?
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Complimentary reception when you check in
Cons: Cleaning
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was marvelous. The room was terrific. The staff (particularly the blond breakfast server) was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: Wish you had the Golf Channel!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great space in the room, fabulous bed, spotlessly clean. Add to that the fact that the property is easy to get to and has lots of parking!
Cons: Our particular room (number ending in 02) shared a wall with the elevator. Those types of intermittent noises can really wreck a night of sleep. On our second night, we ran the temperature control fan on high as a white noise and slept better.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice area
Cons: To close to the road

Pros: Best Location for walking downtown and getting to Target Field
Cons: Wish we'd stayed another night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is awesome! They’ve thought of everything and if I didn’t want to leave my room I’d never have to. Super close to bars and restaurants and so comfortable. The bed and pillows were amazing. I’m a MN local and loved my stay here. I’m basing my next getaway on where Loews hotels are, and deciding the place to visit second.
Cons: The only complaint is that you can hear a lot of the cars and the walls are thin. The maids were really loud outside of our room.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is centrally located and perfect for walking around to other neighborhoods. There's a nice large bar/lounge area on the 4th floor where we grabbed drinks a couple times during our stay. The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The water pressure and temperature in the shower repeatedly fluctuated from hot to cold and sometimes turned off entirely. We mentioned it to the front desk in the evening when we left for dinner but our request was never followed up by staff. We also asked the concierge for a couple simple recommendations and the response was "I don't know." There were coffee cups left on a side table by the elevators on our floor and sat there the entire weekend. These are all minor inconveniences but left us underwhelmed and disappointed when previous reviews raved about the hotel.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent with a broad array of options.
Cons: Spare roll of toilet paper in the room. I was choosing to not have housekeeping (to be able to contribute a few $$ toward St. Jude's) which left the toilet paper a little sparse by the end of 3 day stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and location were amazing. No parking though, unless you want to pay for valet or ramp.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Good breakfast. Nice staff.
Cons: A bit too expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located half a block from the Xcel Energy Center. Can't get much closer you are going to an event there. Also lots of restaurants & bars within a block or two. Would definitely check out Cossetta's across the street for lunch or dinner, and the bakery attached has amazing croissants, pastries and coffee in the mornings. Awesome location. Valet parking on site for $31 a day. Beds are super comfortable. Rooms were very quiet. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. I didn't try it, but there is a continental breakfast included with your stay. Would definitely stay here again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My children loved the pool!
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved that the walls weren't so thin I could hear the neighbors.
Cons: The lighting in the room was very dark. We went trying to leave a lively girls night for the Backstreet Boys concert. It's hard to really get into that vibe when the lighting is poor. Please consider adding more lighting to your rooms.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the desk were most helpful and personable. Excellent workout room.
Cons: Would have liked a microwave in the room.
6.8 Good
Pros: It's a great location and definitely family friendly. The breakfast had lots of options although several items were out.
Cons: The rooms were a bit cramped and not the cleanest. We stayed for 2 nights and housekeeping did not restock coffee cups, coffee, and ice bucket liner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, beds comfortable and breakfast was a wonderful surprise. The fresh fruit was wonderful!
Cons: Better directions to the train station. We were walking and the directions were off. Other than that everything was great and tried to be helpful!

Pros: Beds very comfortable
Cons: I thought it's over priced for what the amenities are.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The company is also looking for a picture of a guy who is this for a second time and is not approving the contract for the same thing to me but I'm not going anywhere until the next year and he said that if he was in the back of the other one of my buildi
Cons: I was wondering what the next day was going to be in the back of my mind and it would be a big surprise if you can see that it was a little more money than I expected it would do for a picture that's been in a lot worse for a second and I would like it if

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the kid pool with the little slide (best for toddler ages, not a major water slide). Also enjoy a free breakfast.
Cons: The room is pretty tiny. Not a lot of extra space.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Overall, comfy and GREAT! Would definitely come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly, Breakfast was very good, very clean all around. The pool was very nice and so was the play area for the kids. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Will defiantly stay again!
Cons: The pool was a bit chilly and the base of the slid in the children's area was a little far off the ground for my two year old and my niece who is six ended up sliding into a pole due to the height of the base of the slide. They had a ton of fun just have to watch them very carefully
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel was clean with a nice pool and complimentary breakfast buffet. Modern decor. Staff were courteous and helpful.
Cons: The toilet in our room and the public toilets near the pool kept plugging up our entire stay. I don’t know if this was due to the recent flooding of the area or not. We had to plunge our toilet twice within an hour of check in and then maintenance came promptly to snake out the toilet. The shower was decent however the plug would not stay up so we had to stand in water our entire shower.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Kids enjoyed the pool. Good food.
Cons: Hot tub didn't work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, bed were super comfortable , pets are welcome, no extra charges!
Cons: I have nothing to say , everything was great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy to locate
Cons: No issues
5.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was okay but nothing special. Room was clean and well lite.
Cons: I am limited mobility and asked for a room close to an outside door. I got one but it was on the opposite side of the property than the handicap parking area. So I had a long walk to and from my room to my car.. Shower had very little water pressure. Bed was extremely soft.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Should have dedicated room and area for pets. I have kid allergic to pets
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed everything about the facility. Especially the swimming area. It really provided a convenience for my children that hadn't been offered at any other facility that I've stayed at. LaQuinta Suites has always been a personal favorite for my family, no matter where we have visited. We have had one adverse experience, which is completely unrelated to this particular location. I would recommend this location to everyone and will definitely be revisiting when I am in Minnesota.
Cons: There were not many restaurants in the immediate area. It was pretty secluded. But that con is also a pro for me. One restaurant that we chose to visit, I must honestly say that I will never go to again. My son is 9 years old and even he had sense enough to ask that waitress how she would rate the overall service if she were the owner. I was not surprised that she could not answer the question.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good Breakfast, comfortable room, very clean, staff was very friendly.
Cons: They did not enforce the kids out of the pool at 10pm rule.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large suite with bedroom in back. Very quiet. Great location. Wonderful staff
Cons: Cleaning staff forgot new towels and shampoo. But we just went to the front desk where they were more than happy to get them for us

Pros: The young gal at the front desk was very friendly! The hotel was very clean and offered a nice breakfast!

Pros: Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast, free breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast excellent .food was hot and plenty of it.
Cons: Outside building concrete could use power wash.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great facility. I don't ever sleep decent at hotels; here I woke up the next morning and realized I slept the entire night. Didn't hear a single sound from the hallway; no doors banging, no people being noisy; etc. The bed was comfortable beyond words! I was a bit concerned about the location when I booked; as we haven't stayed that far north in the cities metro area before. Don't be concerned; it didn't take us long to get to our multiple destinations during the weekend. Breakfast was adequate; coffee was very tasty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great, easily one of the best hotel breakfasts. The whole place is pretty spectacular, free bike rentals for the bike trails, free cookies in the lobby, board games if you want to play something, snacks in the lobby if you get peckish. They've even got a water slide that's pretty intense at their pool.
Cons: Honestly the only thing I didn't like was the toilet paper. It's environmentally conscious 100% recycled paper. While I definitely appreciate trying to save the environment, it also feels extremely rough and unpleasant to use. Maybe they could get non-recycled paper from sustainably farmed trees? Welcome to Graduate Minneapolis — where your intellectual curiosity meets your favorite place to stay. Graduate Minneapolis is home team central for golden get-togethers, nestled in the heart of campus between Coffman Memorial Union and a stone throw from the Gopher’s stadium. Our lush lake house landscape is dotted in forest green, woodland toile, and Prince-ly details of custom plum paisley and a little Corvette red to bring you home. From meetings in town to campus meetups, the lobby is lounge-central for student hang time or some serious air hockey tournaments. Roving food carts serving local flavor (‘sota stuffed burritos, hand crafted hot cocoas and all-star spirits) drift amid the cozy communal tables, dramatic fireplace and woodsy backdrop.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the uniqueness and aprons location of the hotel.
Cons: I was given a room that was already checked out to someone!! I walked in and noticed all the lights were on and when I fully opened the door I noticed someone was sleeping in bed! The worker gave me a new room but did not apologize.....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the lobby.. pool table, shuffle board, air hockey, fire place,
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very clean. Beds comfy, but EXTREMELY elevated. Step stool provided upon request, attendant commented "it happens A LOT here". Nice sports hotel.
Cons: Definitely a sports boutique hotel. Beds EXTREMELY elevated. ABSOLUTELY NO free amenities. TV 90% sports channels. ONE Ice machine VERY LG floor, but NO ice bucket/glasses in room. NO luggage help. No breakfast/treats/water. Asked desk clerk abt hotel to do's-she didn't know & offered no advice on how to find out.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfortable and spacious. Beds were nice and it is located in the middle of campus.
Cons: I did not receive any shampoo after asking at the front desk, the conditioner ran out, and I could not use the phone since I was not given the guide when I checked in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the interesting and fun design mid century design aesthetic!
Cons: absolutely nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location
Cons: The front desk staff was rude.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic. The metro runs right in front of the hotel. It’s inside the U of Minnesota campus, which makes for a safe, small town feel in the middle of a large city, minutes from downtown. Will definitely be back!
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was very friendly.
Cons: The hotel has condition issues. Toilets that don't flush, coffee maker was broken, beds and pillows uncomfortable, missing supplies from the room (coffee cups, toilet paper, pen, paper)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere : very good; student working in the lobby; friendly staff (at the restaurant as well); fireplace (but during summer with ac on...that’s a bit weird....) Location : perfect (public transport to downtown Minneapolis or St Paul + shops, just in front; green area around; Mississippi +FR Weisman Art Museum, very close) Room: nice, big and comfy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly & location.
Cons: Cost of parking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Ambiance was great with nice features in the room of famous people from Minneapolis.
Cons: Valet service was not always available immediately.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely public spaces. Appeared very clean. Good breakfast. Room okay. Manager made good effort to accommodate us with a discount given they changed our reservation and did not give us advance update. At least we had a place to sleep. We enjoyed a very nice breakfast as well on the hotel. It’s a tremendous location if you have anything going on at U of Minnesota. Surrounding area clearly student driven and has lots of energy.
Cons: We had booked a suite which was confirmed by hotel. Room we got was not what we booked. We did get a room at discounted rate for mixup. Regardless of explanation offered I think they over booked suites and since we checked in late we were left holding the stick so to speak. When I called hotel to let them know our arrival time would be later than originally indicated I was treated in super off handed manner. It was like ‘why are you calling me?’’ That was opportunity to give us heads up about booking issue instead of presenting it to tired customers without a prepared backup plan. Thank goodness the manager was at the desk at time of check in. I do not think the other desk clerks would have had any idea how to handle the snafu quickly and diplomatically. TV did not work properly and front desk was no help. Staff could use a little ‘polish’ in interacting with clients.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Lora in Stillwater, you'll be a 2-minute walk from Lowell Park and 12 minutes by foot from Warden's House Museum. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and an elevator (lift).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The décor is beautiful and so unique. Loved the history of the building. Will be even better when they finish restoration of other sections of the site. The complimentary bicycle rental was a bonus. Being right on downtown mainstreet is so convenient for access to all Stillwater has to offer.
Cons: Some form of breakfast voucher is always welcome :-) This is obviously meant to be a higher-end hotel visit so the prices for amenities are in line with that expectation.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was AMAZING. Everything was clean and pristine. Decorated super cool.
Cons: The description did say a king bed with a view of the city and the view was a window looking at a brick wall. I just hate when things are misleading like that
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Position great and super bed
Cons: No desk for my hui to work from. No drawers Limited hanging space by Tv,
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved everything about The Lora! I can’t wait to go back!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: What breakfast we were supposed to have breakfast on you? If so we were not informed of that by your staff. We realize that you are a boutique hotel and everything is ala carte so I was unsure about making a cup of coffee in the room or wearing the robe. The staff was VERY nice and helpful but more info from them or supplied in writing in the room about your offering's and the offering's in the town i.e Stillwater and the general area (phone no.s etc.) would have been very helpful. Great views for the balcony room.
Cons: Being charged $30.00 as an overnight guest without a heads up. Not Good. Left us sceptical about any other unspecified charges. We would have wanted to be treated as a potential return guest with some perks, not punishments. Like a coffee voucher or continental breakfast. Late night snack like fruit, cheese or nuts, water, tea, something, even if there is a small charge, possibly offered in the lobby. We got hungry after midnight, the town was shut down and a tray of stale, dusty, expensive, snacks were not the go-to thing. We want to feel special at a hotel like yours we felt like here's your room and the bill our motto is less is more.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lots of character retained with modern amenities. Staff was great and location can’t be beat.
Cons: The room was small with just a stool to sit on. But it was beautiful, clean and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy beds, clean, great location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the historical feel to the hotel. The downtown location allowed us to walk anywhere without worrying about taking the car.
Cons: Parking is an issue, especially if there is an event going on in town for the weekend. It would be nice to have a better view, other than the side of the building we saw from our window.

7.0 Good
Pros: Location is great and rooms are very nice.
Cons: Room was not ready after available check in time. They said housekeeping staff was very backed up. Some people were given rooms while others were told they had to wait 1-2 hours until rooms would be available.
7.5 Good
Pros: Downtown Minneapolis hotel. Spacious rooms. Very comfortable bed. Nice staff in general. The hotel offers happy hour for executive floor guests on a daily basis. the lady servicing the happy hour couldn't have been more helpful and thoughtful.
Cons: The check in was way below expectations for the hotel. The staff at check in provided minimal information about the hotel and facilities and his answers mainly were "cool" and "ok". Despite being big rooms, the amnesties were not great. The shower at the hotel was disappointing, consisting of a tiny shower head and very low water pressure. The AC had random sounds every night, was not fixed despite me informing the front desk. Small closet space for hanging clothes (Pressing iron prevents you for actually using all the hangers bar) and no shelves. No mini bar at the room. No turndown service. All in all, the stay is very overpriced.

Pros: I've stayed at the Courtyard connected to the Marriott before and liked the location.
Cons: In comparison to the Courtyard, the room was a lot smaller and more expensive. At about 11pm the fire alarms were going off and we were not allowed back into our rooms until after 12. Because my room was not affected by water, I was not given compensation for the inconvience.

Cons: 1.our book confirmmation no was occupied by some other people, and they charge my credit card. when i arrive i Can not check in, and i show all the evidence that i should be the right person for that book confirmation no, and they also confirmed, but still let me wait about 1hour, i told them if i am right why you still let me wait, just find another room for me, but they still addtional charge my credit card. 2.due to when i book, i was already charged, and the wrong check in guys charge again for some fee, and addtional check in for me charge again, so i ask hotel to correct , they check and said some comments the wrong charge will be return After 10days, i said ok, but Can you write the comments and signature for evidence just want to make sure no explain again, they agree but they failed to do that 3 times by 3different people, i am crazy. 3.i ask they book Taxi to catch up flight at the next day Morning, but they forgot, almost miss the flight.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The room was clean and quiet.
Cons: Someone broke off a sprinkler head on the 5the floor. Fire department had to show up. Had an indoor water feature for a few hours. What a mess! Had to eat pizza in the parking lot at midnight due to the great flood of 2019.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great value, very clean, Kips great atmosphere
Cons: NOBODY told the jackass drunk wedding party ( that came back to hotel) to shut the hell up! Literally yelling and screaming between 12:00-2:00AM. Ruined our nights’s sleep and we were still pissed about it in the morning. Wished I could go wake up those fools at 6:00 AM, when I had to get up.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The Rooms were very nice and updated.
Cons: The location is lacking for nearby Food options. They do have a Restaurant in the hotel, but they quit offering food at 11:00PM.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel employee at the front desk was extremely nice. He asked if we where at the hotel to celebrate something. I told him that I was in town for my uncles funeral. He sent champagne and a cheese & fruit tray to my room. That was a great gesture.
Cons: The person next door complained that I was loud. We where talking not playing music or watching tv. The Walls must be too thin. The lady who came up to the room was very nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location great due to mtg downtown Minneapolis. Alex at front very welcoming and making us aware of all services available and how to find them. Having a bar for nighttime drink, coffee and light breakfast available for am start. Love the update decor
