The lovely welcoming polite staff
Parking, great ease of access to Windermere and the rest the lake district from that location, free wi-fi, clean tidy room, friendly staff, En-suite bathroom/loo and TV/DVD all at a good price.
My room was a little too small, maybe an extra foot either way was needed. There were some very creaky floorboards. The shower was very tight for me to wash in, my elbows and knees took a few hits and I am 5'10 and 11.5 stone. The on duty member of staff (otherwise very lovely and helpful) did know know the wi-fi password and made a wrong guess and I spent an hour trying variations and messing with my wi-fi-settings and looking at their free guest PC to work out how the settings worked and copy the password from that. At which exact point, the person who knew the password turned up!
staff were polite
we did not enjoy the mould on blinds and curtains in bedroom or mould around the bath and shower screen.
We appreciated the welcome on arrival, the srvice of the dining room staff and the comfort of our room.
Sadly, our storm umbrella was taken from the Porch and we have not heard if it has been returned!!
