room not clean, very dark and small
Convient Not much parking available. What there was was very tight to manuver in.
Location and Cleanliness
I stayed at this hotel because of its location which is very close to the train and bus station. The hotel has no restaurant but there are fine restaurants in Woerden which are within walking distance. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was clean and tidy. For breakfast there was good basic food. No complaints as this hotel was used for business trip.
close to towncentre, train, restaurants, very good bed.good breakfast room was little dark,no hairdryer,no easy wifi computerconnexion, bar not open on saterday afternoon so go to next door restaurant.
friendly stuff, perfect breakfasts
I choose this hotel due to it's location, as I have business associates in Woerden and it's very easy to reach any location in Holland from here. Quite okey to come by car and parking available around the hotel. Quiet and calm in the hotel and the room. Nice with the view to the canal. Friendly staff. Poor eating facilities around. Especially later in the evening.
Good bed It's old and the bathroom needs to be ungraded
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel wasn't the most modern in the world but it was clean and comformtable.
Unclear information about where the restaurants were and their menus. This may have been because the hotel was being refurbished at the time. Dining alone one evening was a slightly uncomfortable experience with very slow service.
Decent Hotel For The Money Bit far away from amsterdam itself. 30-45 min train journey and at 11Euro a return ticket can get expensive!
The staff is very polite and helpful. Very good location close to the train station and expositions facilities( Messe) No safety box in the room. Breakfast very expensive. We had breakfast out of the hotel. For the high price of the room the breakfast should be included.
It's location Having to chase tea & creamer for the room. Lacks those little extras like real milk, biscuits in room, toiletries, all of which use to be provided. I have stayed in this hotel every year for the last 10 years.
Hotel location. Ability to access printing facilities in lobby was very handy. Would have liked supplies in room to have been replenished on second day i.e. i.e. bags.
Very good.modern hotel with good facilities
Convenient location near the train station. The hotel was run-down and old - peeling paint, dirty carpets, rusty bathroom fixtures... it was depressing, certainly not up to the standard of other NH hotels I have stayed in.
close to messe hall the towels looked dirty
The location is unbeatable--can safely walk everywhere from the hotel, including the train station. Staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. The city of Utrecht is beautiful with lots of great restaurants and shopping. Watch out for cyclists--they seem to have the right-of-way over pedestrians. No in-house store for toothpaste, etc, although shopping mall is about two blocks away. Bring an umbrella. The train station is too close for a cab, but a long walk (~2-3 city blocks) in the rain with luggage and no umbrella.
Large, clean and good looking rooms. We had a room of 55 to 60m², the second room was also >45m². We were located at the elevator and you could hear the engine, but it was not really disturbing.
the size & decor of the room the hallways were not particularly clean. also, i was not aware the sauna had to be booked in advance as it was for two persons only.
Location is a plus, close to the train, historical areas and shopping all within easy walking distance. The beds aren't all that comfortable.
The general ambience and the location. Conveniently situated for the Jaarbeurs and the centre. There was nothing to dislike
We unexpectedly got an upgrade of 2 levels to a super room, which was greatly appreciated. The location is brilliant for quick walks to the city for restaurants & shopping. Also it's only a quick walk to the station for trains to Amsterdam etc.. For a city hotel in the Netherlands, having it's own parking is a major benefit. The breakfast buffet was also good. We didn't eat in the hotel other than breakfast, but the room service menu definitely looked better than average for the range of dishes available.
Good facilities, pool is small to swim in it but nicely decorated, so is good, rooms big, rather comfortable, breakfast almost perfect with good choice and service, so is worse to use it. Location is wonderful, close to everything in this city, kettle and tea in the room were nice Hotel preadvised my card for double amount of stayment (as they explain - in case I will decide to order smth in restaurant or etc. it was additional 600 eur what is big amount I think), so this looks not so good. Also restaurant located in hotel should have some preferences for guests as we failed to have a diiner in it as it was totally booked for 3 days
Was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our 16 day visit to Benelux. Our only regret is that we did not book more nights there!!! Nothing!
This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are very nicely decorated, clean and warm. A big selection of dishes for breakfast. Staff very friendly.
Excellent service & location. Rooms were good- sized. Jacuzzi not especially hot. Breakfast prices high.
Directions to hotel worked well for a foreign driver completely unfamiliar with Utrecht. Parking was easy and convenient. Our room was upgraded gratis as the hotel was not busy. Everything was wonderful.
Very comfortable and an excellent location for both train and motorway access. Breakfast is extensive and well presented. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room temperature was quite chilly and could not be altered - staff unable to assist in this matter
Excellent food.Free Parking Space. Good staff The Double room consists of 2 single beds, which keep sliding apart.I had to keep fishing my kid out of the groove every few minutes :)
Yes there seemed to be washing machines/generators on that was directly under our room they were on until about three in the morning
I would have liked Tea/Coffee facilities in my bedroom
All staff spoke English. They were also very helpful. A little too close to the motorway!
Considering the hotels price in Amsterdam this hotel offers a good solution. In the outskirt of the city you can easily reach the center by train or by car. Huge parking, always convenient if you decide to go to Amsterdam by train The room was just in front of the elevator, a bit noisy in the morning if you want to sleep a bit longer
Very good room and bathroom. Close to the A2 and close to the train station into Amsterdam. Very dissapointed about the quality of the food in the hotel I had veal which was very dry on the outside.
the helpful staff, closeness to train
Good location adjacent to highway and rail links to Utrecht/Amsterdam. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. No tea or coffee making facilities in room
We felt very comfortable and welcome at the Hotel, with friendly staff. We were able to bring one Dutch friend for a pleasant, relaxed evening meal and two other friends for coffee. Very comfortable room, but air-conditioning set at minimum of 20C, was a little too hot for us Celts!
Lovely architecture and position... I really think internet wifi should be free in business hotles like this.
Liked nothing best The hotel is not 4 star - it is a rather poor 3 star quality hotel with many run-down features at a more than average 4 star price while parking is not free and an expensive internet connection. Does the Netherlands have an hotel grading authority??? They clearly slipped up on this hotel
Ease of check-in and room facilities. Hotel should inform beforehand that there is a charge for parking.
Excellent breakfast with buffet and hot freshly prepared waffles, pancakes and eggs.
All the staff were very helpful and courteous at all times. The Hotel had great facilities and price was good.
Good beds, clean room, parking, great breakfast.
beautiful setting,on a lake and yet within a 20min. easy walk from centre. The hotel had excellent facilities.Food was great quality, wish we could have stayed longer.
The room was very nice. The food in the restaurant was fair. High price for a little piece of grilled salmon with pommes frites and 2 slices of tomato and cucumber. Almost € 19. Very small glasses of wine.
park setting, terraces on lake lack of air conditioning
Good location Expensive parking
cetrally located, modern lobby, good breakfast the pictures show other rooms than i got (not renovated)
The dinning room staff was very good, Good menu. The exercise facilty was disappointing. The machines were broken and old.
Good staff, quiet easy to access city centre Poor internet and road construction
Location, very convenient for the train station and city centre.
No tea or Coffee facilities
Nespresso machine in bedroom was nice. TV picture poor.Breakfast expensive.
Room smartly designer Poor gym limeted equipment and equipment not working well
Great Staff, Excellent Service. Nothing
all paperwork ready - single signature required. Very quick and easy
I liked that description of the hotel fully conforms what I have found there - no surprises and that was good.
They provided a clean, comfortable room with all of the amenities. Fast internet. Delicious European style self-serve breakfast. Perfect for me needs. They called a cab and had a prearranged lower fee with that service. A very professional operation. A wash cloth would have been appreciated.
The room was good, probably just refurbished.
Computer provided with free web use in lounge
The location to the Tivoli and the train station. Bad, uncomfortable experience. For starters, to get to your room you have to get through a maze that involves going through an underground connecting hallway and two elevators. The room has no AC and it doesn't even have a frigobar. There is a monitor in the room (weirdly located at an unusual angle that you cannot change, not located in front of your bed like in most normal hotels) and it only has access to YouTube, not to actual TV programs. The shower has no curtain or door so the entire bathroom floods when you take a shower. They didn't replace the soap containers when they ran out of soap so I had to ask the reception to give me refills. At one point, I asked for a bucket of ice at the reception and they looked at me like I had three heads (I'm not kidding) and suggested I should go get ice from the Kentucky Fried Chicken store next door! At check out they wanted me to pay again for my stay, when it had already been prepaid prior to my check in. Really? All this and you call yourself a 4-star hotel? I'd say you barely get 2 stars and they do not shine.
Nice large room with good equipments, very clean, very good breakfast. Never accept the room #603 again: this room is just next to the hotel's waterworks, Thus, the noise of drainage is constant, all day long and all night long.
Close to downtown No parking in hotel
The Hotel was spotless and in the perfect location. The breakfast was outstanding every day as well. Nothing
Spacious single room Expensive breakfast
The hotel was very close to the central train station which was handy. The rooms are small but covers everything you would need. but the only problem was the wifi. On the website it says free wifi is available but the connection is not stable and keeps disconnecting. There are also personal hotspots available for each room for which you would need to pay (5 euros/day). Other than that in general it was ok.
Perfect location: 5 minutes walk to the Central Station and large shopping center. Room are clean and very good breakfast Walls are to thin: one can always hear whats happening in the neighbour room. In addition it was not possible to fully close the balcony door so there were always a bit of cold wind on the floor from the balcony and noise from the street. And it would be great to add small refrigerator to the room
Very friendly and helpful staff. A very clean and modern hotel close to the station and central to the shops, canals and the centre of Utrecht. Late honesty bar and coffee facilities just put the finishing touches to the hotel...Fab! Nothing, really lovely hotel.
Close from shopping center and city center no parking, difficult to find it
Nothing. This is a very poor value for money hotel. Bed and Bathroom were basic, facilities below average. Best comparison is that this is similar to a Travelodge but far more expensive. Bed, Bathroom, Towels, .......
This is a brand new hotel which we recommand. It is perfectly situated near "centrum". Rooms are beautiful with a modern design. Staff is not completely trained for the moment but I think this change with a little more experience (the hotel opened one week ago..)
We liked our room the most, it was really good and very big. We liked everything!)
Nice and spacey rooms. Breakfast was excellent!
Comfortable and good location
Good atmosphere and in a very picturesque position. Rooms very hot and no way of cooling down due to Air Conditioning not working properly. Restaurant very busy and took over two hours to be served.
It was a perfect choice. The decor was chic, staff friendly, and it was 'the place to be'. I ate dinner in the Sunday night and lunch in the courtyard Monday since there was a definite buzz about the place - lots of young cool locals hanging there Monday lunchtime, great vibe. Very very new, so a couple of teething problems with wireless internet on third floor (get a booster!).
Coffee in room and soft bed decoration, poor maintenance of room messy public areas
The location is excellent, the food very good, staff friendly, room very clean, design excellent! The aircon was not working properly, our room was like an oven
very nice location, staff was friendly and helpfull although the hotel was not even ready to be opened. nice terras and restaurant it was in the construction fase.... I believe they should have waited 2 more weeks before having hotel guests in.
Really central location, stylish design, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff, wonderful bed, cleanliness, free wifi Heating system was bit complicated, unless you read the manual or consult the friendly staf
The room we had was a good size (twin deluxe) and the continental buffet breakfast was very good. It seemed to be more of a business hotel than a family hotel but they were very nice about the children. The cost of doing laundry was excessive, and it was annoying to have to pay extra for regular tv programs.
Friendly staff at reception. Quiet, clean, comfortable.
Good room. Good Breakfast. Helpful Staff
Lovely atmosphere, very quiet, rear rooms overlooked cultivated park like land, friendly efficient staff
The hotel didn't impress me particularly but it was nice, clean and the stuff was helpful
Excellent service, setting and facilities!
the room. balcony and view in a quiet setting no kettle in the room which would have been very useful for an early morning and late cup of tea
The situation. being in the old part of the city I would suggest the buffett breakfast offered dishes of fruit salad, apricots and prunes. Handling cut grapefruit was not easy. But we had a lovely time.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Decor was perfect. Staff was very helpful. Computer access was fast and available. Space was great. Loved the bathrooms.
it was just a stop over while waiting for the ferry the cost of the breakfast was unreasonable
Very close to place of work Too far out from city centre
The spa and the quite environment made it a pleasant stay.the room was clean and all the comodities where there.the materass was a really good and firm one.
Very comfortable spacious room, good restaurant with prompt service. Nice lobby with free internet and business center.
Decor meybe a bit out of date.
business trip - i had to study so couldn't enjoy the facilities no , very pleased
rooms are very luxery
sauna and breakfast the lady in the front desk was not polite enough when we asked the transportation to the city, and she didn't show us clearly, we got back to ask again when we were out and found that's uneasy to find the direction.
Being in the swimming-pool yacuzzi until 23.00 They did not have hot chocolate, but it was not important
great leasure center, excellent breakfast 7 km far away from city center, but the bus stop is close to hotel
Very friendly staff.
1) free of charge wireless internet access (I could work as much as I needed!) 2) very friendly and helpfull hotel staff 3) food at the restaurant is very good 4) the view from my room's window was marvelous! 5) location (it is very close to De Meern where I had a workshop at Oracle) 6) no problem with parking the car 7) family atmosphere in the hotel 8) free breackfast
The Hotel met my requirements.
Very helpful, friendly staff.
quite room, good bed hindrance of smoke from other rooms, in the corridor, in the reception and in the restaurant Cleaning staff leeft door open, showing valuable stuff like my laptop to all who walked through the corridor No drinks in the room
Lovely breakfast in a great location overlooking the water.
- cheap hotel, so quality/price is good - located at 5 km from De Meern (Utrecht), without traffic jam to and from De Meern - not convenient if you want to go to Utrecht center - WIFI network is not available in the whole hotel, and looks a little bit slow
Very nice hotel with helpful and friendlly staff and good comfort. Harmelen is a nice little place and it's quick easy to drive to other destinations in Holland.
Pleasant staff, good breakfast (starts@6:30!) en decent diner. The hotel/cafe is in the middle of an old village and is also the meeting place for the locals. Nice atmosphere. The rooms are a bit outdated but fair. Rooms in the hotel are a bit noisy (not in the dependance) Parking is sometimes a problem but never parked further then 100m from the hotel
Comfortable room in a small, picturesque town. Nice walks along the canal. Good for a one night stopover (rather than a destination in itself) on our journey around Holland. Very close to Uttrecht. The town clock going off every hour throughout the night! Free parking by canal (a short walk away) rather than outside the hotel.
Small cosy hotel
Typical dutch small and cosy hotel quiet & comfortable
Great comfort and ambiance, plus excellent late night arrival arrangments.Just a great place to stay. Easy access to and from motorways. Nothing.
One of the best small hotels i have seen in the Netherlands, very good in the small details that make the difference.
This very clean and quiet hotel is ideally situated to visit several Dutch towns in the vicinity like Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Gouda, Delft which are all within 50 to 60 km of the hotel by car. We did not want to drive into the big towns and found the train station in Woerden, 7 kms away with Park + Ride facilities very practical! If you are claustrophobic, avoid room nr 9 which is very dark with a small window at knee level! If you are a light sleeper, avoid room nr 2 which looks out on the main street which gets busy at weekends.
The attitude of the staff My room was 2 flights up very steep steps (typically Dutch) and there is no lift.
