We were left towels, coffee, toiletries etc… everything apart from toilet roll which I think was probably just a blip. We had checked in after 3pm at which point there is no staff and you check in yourself with a key code. This worked fine for us, although meant we had to go out and buy loo roll... We “reserved” a parking space, though received a call 30 minutes before our arrival to tell us they were gone and letting us know where else to park for free. This was TIGHT - if you are not great at parking – prepare yourself. (We were also told we had to leave this space at 10am though when we did, the area was just blocked off by staff poorly parked and I sense an urgency for us to leave the “space” wasn’t really imperative…) The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The shower was great – I burnt myself when I went to turn it off, it really was scalding - It could do with an idiot proof guide and the temp looking at/reducing. Teeny blips aside, the location is fantastic, room was lovely, everything is a stone’s throw away, and it’s very good value. Noise was not an issue - we were on the top floor though
The shower temp needs attention, toilet roll providing... Top floor, lots of stairs, no lift
Very quiet location very close to the city centre and cathedral and the Hospitium wedding venue. Parking permit included. Friendly staff responsive to requests online and in person.
Warm welcome from the hosts who were so helpful and create a friendly atmosphere; lovely homely lounge with tea and complementary cake. Great breakfast. Comfortable, quiet rooms with complementary toiletries. Location is ideal for sight seeing.
Storage in the room could be better.
I would recommend this property. I have travelled extensively and the Minster walk was by far the best room i have stayed in for style, comfort and cleanliness. There were refreshments on arrival with ample tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in our room. The location was spot on with easy access to all sights on foot. Parking was supplied but there is also a public car park close enough to utilise after check out.
The lounge area was very comfortable & inviting, with self serve drinks & cake very nice. The room was spotless & the bed was excellent.
More seats in the room.
