Pros: Everyone was friendly, from the front desk to housekeeping to the workers doing the remodeling. Good breakfast. We all enjoyed the pools and hot tubs.
Cons: Husband would've liked the sauna to be in service.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The clean and new furniture tile and carpy
Cons: The halls loaded with old furniture
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room good coffee
9.3 Excellent
Pros: EVERY employee was very nice, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was great. Beach was very nice. Not crowded. The boat rental was a great experience. The fire on the beach at sunset was amazing. The shuttle was also a plus, took us to our restaurant of choice each evening. The cucumber water in the lobby was terrific. So refreshing after swimming and waiting on the elevator!
Cons: Remodeling was going on, our room was not complete but it was beautiful, what was done. We had a suite, the air in bedroom was perfect, however, the air was hard to reach the living area. It was very loud fan that was distracting.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect and the included breakfast every morning is a Godsend for people with kids.
Cons: Only issue was showing up for our reservation at 5:00 pm and our room wasn't ready yet, even though check in begins at 3:00 pm. Not a huge deal, though. Had to wait an extra 10 or 15 minutes and it was worth it, as the room was impeccable.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Shower head was really cool!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good and room was very clean and comfortable. Staff in the morning shift was inconsiderate.
Cons: Everything was good except there was no mirror in our room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a bayside room. The view was fantastic. The balcony was private. With a beach and two pools you couldn't ask for more. The thing that took this property to a new level is the staff. We experienced a medical emergency on our second to last day and the staff was quick, efficient and caring on a level you don't see now adays. Kudos to everyone working here! A little goes a long way. I will highly recommend the Cherry Tree Inn and will definitely stay again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location.
Cons: The beds are quite hard and with a four day stay our bodies were quite stiff and sore.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very nice and clean, we had a great view. Our first floor room was right on the beach and that was the best part.
Cons: We were disappointed that we paid $300 for one night for our family only to find out that we weren’t allowed to rent any of the water equipment due to previous guests crashing jet skis. We wanted to rent a paddle board. That was disappointing for our family. We also were told we could use their texting service for any of our needs..however the texting service never got back to us until about 4 hrs past any of our requests. Lastly, we were told that there was a PlayStation 2 in every guests room. We found out that we actually needed to go to the front desk to request it, we got back to our room to connect it and realized there weren’t any games with it. We were later told that guests are supposed to rent them.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere!
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place with balcony overlooking our amazing jewel Lake Michigan, great pool, really good breakfast, newly refurbished rooms. Amazing.
Cons: That we couldn’t stay longer! The outdoor photo is from hike up to pyramid point which we did upon check out that day. Short drive from hotel. Look at the water colors !!! We love you TC and Cherry Tree Inn!!!!!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location amaizing and the view
Cons: The breakfast was very limited options.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Beach front ok, but lots of debris.
Cons: I booked a suite and ended up with a regular room with two beds. What was promised didn’t happen. The staff is trained with an answer for everything, but are willing to assist the customer with nothing!! Hot tub is too hot to enjoy. The surface of the hotel is nice looking until you get under it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room view
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is our second time staying at the Grand Beach. We came with our 3 kids and we look forward to this vacation up north every year. The hotel is clean, quiet, and the staff is friendly, helpful and courteous. We love that we can swim in the clean beach and rent sea doos or paddle boards nearby. Thank you for another great memory, my only regret is that we didn't stay longer!
6.3 Good
Pros: the beach location
Cons: it was weak to advertise as a resort. No in house dining, no spa/massage; beach advertisement at canopy shows "night cruise," only to find out it's not offered. Way too much for a room there..would not recommend
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved being able to walk out our patio doors and straight to the beach. The room was very nice and clean. You could tell it was updated recently with zero "worn" areas or discolorations. This is a small thing, but we very much appreciated the "foot sprayer" area to clean off the excess sand :)
Cons: The pool was too small for the amount of guests. Also the air temp was very uncomfortable/ too hot, so we didn't stay long. There wasn't enough umbrellas for the outdoor tables. We would have appreciated more shade on our patio.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, right on the beach
Cons: Hard to find a parking spot at night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For never visiting Traverse City, I am extremely pleased with our hotel choice. I found it online and booked it immediately. I loved the location and was impressed with our room leading directly out to the beach. Will definitely stay there again.
Cons: I know it was a continental breakfast, but would have paid extra for eggs and sausage/bacon
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The beach & pool were amazing!
Cons: The mattresses were not comfortable at all. We also had a leaky bathroom faucet that sprayed water, & our bathroom tub wouldn’t drain properly while showering. Shower also had some moldy spots, as well as the shower curtain.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location of breakfast was great. My family enjoyed the pancakes the maker did have difficulty but the attendant was able to assistant everyone to complete making pancakes. I was aware from reviews of the types of options available. Yogurt and boiled eggs are great but a scrambled eggs or a meat choice would have been great for people like myself, who limit Carbs.
Cons: There was nothing I disliked just a little larger exercise room and more options for breakfast for non-carb eaters would be good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly. The view was amazing. The hotel seemed very clean and well thought out. The pool was nice.
Cons: Parking was cramped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the beach theme. Wonderful indoor pool that I did not get to experience but it was gorgeous. The staff texts you after you check in to make sure everything’s up to standard which is amazing. They also allowed me to stay an hour after check out free of charge and allowed me to continue using their beach/ even after check out!
Cons: N/A

Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent! Location was good.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff, breakfast and efficient check-in/out

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. They had a shuttle to take us into town for the Cherry Festival activities, which was very nice. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast buffet was good.
Cons: The only thing that I did not like in Traverse City was the HEAT! We are from Texas, and were hoping to get a break from the heat, but it was just as hot as Texas.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, location was great, food was good.
Cons: We ate in our room because there was no room in the dining room also when we checked out we had to pay $60 extra for our dog that I was not told about. Good thing we had extra money.

Pros: Good location
Cons: Small room
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was a good variety. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

4.5 Okay
Pros: Location and the breakfast was good for that type of breakfast
Cons: Room had an odor which they tried to eliminate with a spray de-odorizor. The air conditioning keep us awake by going off and on which is normal but there must be a way to leave the fan to run continuously.

Pros: We had an issue with our first room. When we showed them the issue, they quickly moved our room and upgraded us at no additional cost. Staff was very friendly and we appreciated them listening to us. My kids loved that this hotel was right on the beach!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, nice pool, right on Lake Michigan
Cons: Very cheap and uncomfortable toilet. Arrived at 345 with sick child and told us to leave and come back at 400. Supplies were not adequately replenished like toilet paper, drinking glasses, soap, coffee. Continental breakfast could be a lot better
6.8 Good
Pros: Beach chairs were great although very close together
Cons: Room next door had children that were loud and yelling until after Midnight. Had to call hotel staff and complain Couldn’t check in until 4 pm would have liked to use the beach that day

Cons: N/A
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very roomy, nice hotel.
Cons: Breakfast was crowded not a fantasy selection.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They are in constant communication with you to ensure you have an awesome experience!
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was very clean. The building is very beautiful. I love the colorful siding and the windows.
Cons: Beach furniture was very trashy. I wanted to sit outside and enjoy the bay views. The Adirondack chairs are plastic and uncomfortable. I feel like if you are paying this much money to stay the beach furniture needs to be better. I also think the hotel itself is lovely but then the brown, plastic, comfortable ugly chairs do it a disservice.
6.3 Good
Pros: It was on a beach.
Cons: The temperature in the room was either freezing or sweltering if you had the air conditioner on. There was never a two bedroom option at the time of booking, or I would have paid whatever the cost was. I thought they only had standard rooms. Four days before arrival I get an email to "offer" an amount I'd pay for an "upgrade" to two bedrooms. I have zero idea what the cost would be, as they don't have any listed on their website. I offered an additional $100 per night, which was not accepted. But there's no negotiation, it goes to the highest bidder apparently, and you have no idea what they're offering. Honestly, I'll never stay here again, it seemed a really dishonest way to sell their "nicer" rooms. Tell us the cost up front, and let us book them. Stop this money grab right before vacation.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds.
Cons: The breakfast was very basic. Often there were not enough space to seat, fruits or boiling water for tea. The house keeping often forgot to refill cups, kleenex....
9.3 Excellent
Pros: typical continental breakfast.
Cons: I didn't like the location of our room at the end of a very long hallway but the room itself was nice.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Accommodations were very clean and the bed was comfortable
Cons: The room rate was astronomically high. Way too expensive for one night. I only stayed here because there was no vacancy anywhere else for the night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and well maintained
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was awesome!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, nice clean room, very good maintainance - no cracked grout, frayed carpet etc. Especially good for a pet-friendly hotel, I realize it is harder to keep clean when pets are involved and they did a great job! I will stay here again.
Cons: 1st floor room on parking lot side, and the sheer drapes are a bit too sheer. I like natural light but felt that I couldn't open the regular curtains without being right out there.Maybe double up the sheers? For light but no visibility? Minor pro
7.5 Good
Cons: It’s not on the water / or water view.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was exellent! Loved the free shuttle downtown, made travel convenient
Cons: Showers...wish there was a tub. Made the bathroom a mess when taking a shower
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, comfortable. Easy location. Good breakfast.
Cons: Confusing layout
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: room was updated and immaculate, i have stayed in Traverse City and seen some pretty outdated rooms, these were updated and super clean.
Cons: Im not gonna say i didnt like it, but you have a 14ft deep well maintained pool but we are not allowed to dive in it??? What is the sense of having it 14ft deep then. I suggest you fill the bottom with cement and make it 6ft and save yourself some money
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: Hotel filthy! Lake flies infested the entrance to our room/ Once inside hit by the musty order of a non air conditioner room. Couldn’t even open windows to air out/ filled with bugs. Cobwebs in room corners filled with dead bugs. Complained to front desk to either move to another room or cancel second night. Did nothing to resolve. Response was where used to the bugs.... That evening we returned to property and was not even able to reach the key access filled with bugs. Spoke to front desk asking for something to knock Down the bugs to enter room. The front office was filled with bugs (attracted to lights) and they had the dry goods for breakfast set out. yuck!!! Crappy service, crappy rooms and nothing but useless employees running a property. Nightmare property and it wasn’t cheap- $450+tax for 2 terrible nights.
7.5 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good. Hot foods were hot and tasty. Healthy breakfast choices. It was clean and the woman working was very friendly and attentive.
Cons: The staff said warm cookies and cold milk would be available between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm nightly but we only found cookies there one night. The other nights the basket was always empty. If you are going to offer treats like that then be sure to have more than a dozen cookies.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The pool and weight room were nice and clean.
Cons: Barking dogs on one night and a drunk lady yelling another night.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was in a very convenient location. The woman at the front desk was very hospitable and allowed our entire party an early check in. Overall a great experience. Will definitely stay here again.
Cons: The price for a night, but it was also during film festival weekend.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is right on the main drag heading into downtown Traverse City. So, it's centrally located and a five-minute drive to downtown. The hotel is older but clean. The king-size bed was comfortable. It has a fridge and microwave and Wifi. It was high season week so the traffic was a bit heavy at times. We used Lyft a couple times which worked out well. And you're able to park right in front of your room.
Cons: Furniture was a little worn, but comfortable. It's difficult to turn left on the main road, which is the direction to downtown. Never did find the ice machine, but I think the desk provides it prior to 10pm.

Pros: The room was real nice. Quite and the bed was great. The location of your hotel is why we choose your facility.
Cons: The bathroom needs to be updated. The shower head would not adjust.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The free breakfast was excellent. Much more than pastry and fruit. Included waffles, scrambled eggs, meat, etc.
Cons: Our sink didn’t drain well at all. Some bead like things kept coming up out of the drain. Wasn’t pleasant. Our tub had some stains or marks on it that was a turnoff to me.

Pros: Location , clean , great breakfast, very kind staff!
6.8 Good
Pros: Coffee was good. Room was clean and comfortable. The eggs at breakfast were okay, but a little overdone.
Cons: Since I sleep on a "sleep number" style bed at home I found the bed at the inn uncomfortable. Was not aware there was construction going on at the inn.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice very comfortable friendly staff.
Cons: No shuttle to and from activities downtown kind of difficult to find.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Was absolutely disappointed that on one night while there, the pool area was crowded with people who were walking in off the street and using the pool and hot tub. Were they friends of the desk clerk? I believe they were because nothing was said to them.

Cons: Nothing..
6.3 Good
Pros: Pretty happy with the free brownies available at reception!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great! Bed was comfortable.
Cons: On our last night, there was a lot of noise from above our room and in the same floor until 5:30am. Also, I like a bigger area to lay out all my stuff in the bathroom. Counter was way too small.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The beds were super comfy and the staff was always helpful and pleasant.
Cons: The pool smelled very strong of chemicals and the kids eyes were burning a ton so we had to get out. Seems as though they may have used a lot of chemicals to clean it recently.

Pros: New hotel is sparkly clean. Valet team rocks. Front of house staff excellent. Housekeeping even helpful.
Cons: Bar staff seemed overwhelmed despite a average size, mainly patient crowd. Restaurant was clearly understaffed for b-fast following a sold out Saturday night.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Although the bathroom door looked great was not very functionable as to keeping shut ours did not stay closed lighting in the bathroom was not good for putting markup. It was just to dark in the bathroom. You pay for the room then pay to park! Booooo

Pros: Great atmosphere, the entertainment in the lobby bar was fantastic.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is great. Right down town and walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and micro breweries.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room. Very roomy and clean
6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was clean & comfy! That’s a must!
Cons: It was over priced ... almost $500 for one night. How about including breakfast?? There was not enough shelf space in shower.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: pool
Cons: no
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Overall, comfortable and good experience
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff were great including front desk, bistro and cleaning staff.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable and the bedding was not appropriate for the time of year. The bed was unusually hard. I like a softer mattress and this mattress was at the opposite end of the spectrum. It was a chilly evening and the bed only had one blanket so we needed to keep the heat on and there was an outside mechanical unit (I think an Air Conditioner)that was very loud and kept us awake. In short it was almost $300 for one night so the value was not there!
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The beds were not comfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Walk out patio
Cons: Sink area too small
10.0 Excellent

7.5 Good
Pros: Location was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping kept us stocked with ample linens, which was much appreciated. Water park and variety of outdoor and indoor activities was great--my kids, who are a little older, and I had a blast!
Cons: Breakfast buffet was a little pricey for the quality of the food. Afternoon pool music/dancing activities led by staff was a bit over the top and did not seem to appeal to many patrons.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved that after grill and pizza were closed staff highly recommended a local pizza place. Extra mile
Cons: Adult pool
6.8 Good
Pros: Lots to do. Nice premises.
Cons: Hairs in shower & sand on floor upon arrival.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I really like the fact that there was so much to do for the kids. There was never a dull moment
Cons: I didn’t like that there was no business center. I also didn’t like that the pressure from the shower head was very weak. I also felt that the food was very average & the prices a bit high.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed like a cloud.
Cons: If large rooms also had a half bath.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The pool and Hot tub were nice. They did let us check in at noon which was nice. Pizza was good
Cons: The place was very dirty and outdated, not at all what I expected when I booked, especially for the price. Food is terribly over priced and not that good. Room was overlooking the shipping and receiving area so we were awakened Monday morning buy the noise of that. Beds were small and room was just average. Again not what I expected from a Great Wolf Lodge. We stayed at the Days Inn earlier this year and was twice as nice for 1/2 the price. Water park is very small and crowded. Overall would never book here again
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Characters theme and watermark are great for kids vacation
Cons: It’s time for an update on room furniture

9.1 Excellent
Pros: The beach front location is excellent. We also liked the fact that in addition to the beach, there was a well manicured lawn. Beautiful view from our balcony. Very good breakfast, better than most hotels provide.
Cons: Nothing. All good.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location & view
Cons: Room showed wear , some evidence of water leaks.. tub was small, no large ice maker for guests just small one for cups, beach area & mattresses on beds were good Most staff was pleasant... Carpeting going downstairs outside stairs warm & should b replace... Breakfast was just OK.. Thanks
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and views of the bay were amazing. Beach and grounds were best we saw. Fresh baked cookies each evening were a nice touch.
Cons: Rooms are a bit dated, but still comfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb. The breakfast was good for what it was. Regular scrambled eggs would have been better than the pre-made ones. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The facility is probably as clean as it can get considering its age. There was mold present in the bathroom and the moss and mold on the roof and outside will have to be addressed at some point or there will be structural damage.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff was awesome. The location is perfect and the beach made you forget that your room was dumpy.
Cons: The whole place needs an update. The bathroom and spa tub was covered in mildew/mold. The room hasn't been updated since 1970
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, breakfast great, location great. Not as close to town as we would like, but nice beach. Would come back for sure!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so friendly! I loved the smaller resort style stay! It was peaceful, relaxing & the private walk out to the beach was incredible! We will be coming back!
6.8 Good
Pros: I like staff. The workers so nice and professional. I love beautiful
Cons: I didn’t like breakfast. We didn’t get any vegetables and fruits (just pineapples from the can). Every morning the same food . And so noisy night time, because the room was to street side,
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was quite comfortable and the location was great.
Cons: Some of the amenities seemed dated. Such as the outdoor carpet on the patio. The fan and behind the bathroom door was not clean.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location of the property is perfect. Walking distance to quite a few restaurants. Grocery store across the street. It also has the largest beaches of the resorts along this strip. Great lawn area also with tables. Sunsets were amazing.
Cons: If you are looking for a large, modern resort this isn’t it. The rooms are basic but adequate. I did my research and knew what to expect so it wasn’t a surprise.
6.3 Good
Pros: The entire hotel inside & out was non-smoking.
Cons: Room felt cluttered with over sized furniture. The bathroom vanity had no counter top & was not separate from the toilet/tub. Beds we’re uncomfortable. The cost of a room was to high when comparing other older hotels on the bay.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent and the staff was very friendly.
