Excellent location on the shingly beach, good pool, good breakfast. Easy walk into Albenga old town. Fantastic sea views. Would stay again. In need of some refurbishment and modernisation rooms are very dated especially bathroom and kitchen. A hark back to the fifties. Clean and tidy and the location makes up for the drab accomodation. Restaurant expensive but breakfast in with room price is good value.
The beach, view and surroundings near the hotel are amazing. Our room "comfort double" was very old. Bed was terrible. There was no air conditioner, which in summer season in Italy is very disturbing. No safe box. Poor breakfast.
Close to the water Pictures looked better on internet then in real. We had a big problem with mosquitos inside the studio, so I spent most nights trying to kill mosquitos, and because of that, I did not get much sleep during the time we were there. The cleaning was not very good. Lot of stones on the beach.
Nice free beach, with an excellente sea-view(with an island) from a rooms really poor breakfast, expensive restourant
Great sea view, a lot of parking place near the hotel and inside, very friendly personell and fantastic Caprpaccio di Ricciola
It was one big disillusion. We had the expensive comfort suite. Comfort suite means in this hotel smal, unsnug room without aircondition, equiped with old terrible furniture. From one site thrums railway. On the window site was every day very noisy disco over midnight. Absolut not value for the money.
I love so much the location of the hotel and the stuff. I don`t like cleaning servise, couse they don`t clearn terrace.
Nice big room with terrace overlooking the sea
nothing garbage containers on arrival; beach animation and music up to 1 a.m. making it impossible to rest for the other clients; TV not working properly
The view straight onto the beach and the swimming pool. Large room. The photos on the website only show the most expensive room, while the comfort apartments have not been renovated since the fifties, so they're very drab. You have to sit in the bath to use the shower. If you want to use the kitchen you have to pay an additional €30. Very expensive considering the basics for cooking are not supplied like cooking oil, salt and pepper or a dish cloth!
We liked best the direct location at the seafront and the close walking distance to the town center with its many eateries and little boutiques. The breakfast arrangements were shocking. There was absolutely nothing remotely appetizing, wholesome or healthy on offer. No assortment of fresh breads, an array of useless dry biscuits, cakes and sweets in stead and worst of all, and for us uncomprehensible, no fresh fruit, this time of year, in Italy? Shocking! Although the season is actually coming to an end the services and facilities must be upheld regardless, not gradually, but clearly visible, cut back, i.e.Bar and lobby unattended with no newspapers, gardens unattended with maintenance utensils and rubbish lying about, and furniture little by little being stored away.
extremely friendly and helpful in a beautiful location loved everything
Very nice hotel staff, nice location, good brackfast Nothing
Kind personal at the reception, great view from the room, really close to the beach (location) and the wonderful weather ;-) Breakfast
Great location (on beach, short walk to many great dinner locations), nice included breakfast, rooms were nice, staff was friendly, and of course the general beauty of Alassio Not really. Some might be surprised by the $50/day for a spot on the beach, but compared to the public beach down the street (way overcrowded) or to other hotels (much more jam packed), we thought the price was reasonable.
Beautiful gardens, charming building, freindly, helpful staff, fascinating objets d'art, and large, well-furnished rooms.
Nice calm small hotel build upon the ruins of an ancient Roman villa. Large luxorious quiet rooms with aircon. Beautiful garden. Good swimming pool with hillside view over Albenga and mountains You depend on a car - with GPS to navigate the narrow roads through the vast horticultural industry area to reach downtown. The hotel restaurant was closed except for breakfast.
position near the beach, clean, nice terace in front of the hotel, availability of parking places in the garage room very small and noisy, ancient and small TV set, poor breakfast for a four star hotel;we were not informed at arrival that the hotel has its own beach.
amicability of the personnel car parking and WiFi availability
A very good position, private beach available for customers, room very big and comfortable Breakfast very poor, "sea view" description a bit tricky in the description of the rooms because it can be that a piece of sea "can be viewed" from your room if you really want to..
Location only High price, poor facilities, poor breakfast and dinner, not comfortable rooms, expensive parking
very nice location with sea view complicated seating arrangement at breakfast. Breakfast itself was modest.
Quiet hotel. beachside property. Hard beds, Need new bedsheets and soft bathroom towels,
Idealy located for the beach and the city center. Ladies on the front desk are smily and try to be helpful. Rooms' furniture is basic and old! Hotel cannot claim it is fully refurbished. The person in charge of the beach is not professional or friendly at all. Guests are not guarranteed a good spot on the beach. Other beaches in the surrounding are more hospitable. Breakfast is poor and has no diversity and serving staff are not friendly.
