Low price, courteous staff,
Heavy area traffic is not conducive to pedestrians wishing to walk to Uptown. Its not far, but a lot of lights and 6-8 lane highways to cross. No pool (but we knew that), loud and off-key band in the lobby lounge at check in. Worn side chair in room, dirty/worn elevators. Hung the do not clean sign but the housekeeping staff came in anyway. Nit picking really, as we pretty much got what we expected from an older Sheraton-run property.
I loved how friendly and accommodating the staff was. They were welcoming of me and my two young children (and dog).
The rooms could be cleaner. The carpet was stained and it made my infant dirty when he crawled. The tub wouldn't drain properly, so we got to shower in standing water. Also, there was used soap left in the shower, along with shampoo and conditioner. One of the main reasons I picked the Sheraton was because they have cribs available. They did not. My infant had to sleep on the floor on some blankets. I couldn't have both my kids in bed with me, as I only had a queen.
Location is good and overall clean but small rooms.
They put us in the wrong room when we checked in so we had to go back to front desk. It was about 9:30 pm. Put all 4 of us in room with one bed instead of two queen beds.
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! I LIKED THAT THE MALL WAS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. THE STAFF WAS AMAZING. I HAD AN ISSUE AND THEY TOOK CARE OF IT FOR ME!!!
My adult son and I visited Albuquerque for Thanksgiving with family. We were very pleased with the comfort and the option of no linen service to help conserve water in this drought-stricken area. The mini-fridge came in very handy, and I liked the nice touch of having flavored water available in the lobby for a quick drink. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants so can't comment on them. Drinks were pricey in the bar.
Vouchers were issued if one chose not to have linen service. But the vouchers didn't mention where they could be redeemed. If I can find out, I'll send mine back to the relatives who live there so they can be used.
Nice central location close to any amenities such as shipping and restaurants. The hotel itself is clean and would be perfect for the business traveler.
We chose this hotel for the location and heated pool. The pool was small (looks large in pictures) but I would not consider it a truly heated. It felt like going into an ice bucket every time. Our family would do laps just to get warmed up enough to stay in it. We travel a lot and on the heated side of this I would rate the pool a 2. It did however offer up a great hot tub. Perfectly set temperature. We did not eat at the restaurants but it looked nice and there was also a Starbucks inside. Most places we stay the staff always greets you, this one did not. Employees were always too busy talking. They were however nice when approached. As a former business traveler I would say this place is a hit. As a family I might try another place next time I stay in ABQ just to see what else is out there.
The beds were great
You had water in the room for a fee. Either give the water or don't put it in there.
