Good bed Minimal breakfast and space to eat it
Very clean room. Appreciated that they took out the carpet in favor of a quality vinyl floor. So much cleaner! Bed was super comfortable. Friendly staff, even during a very late night check in. This isn't a fancy place but a great room for a very reasonable price. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip through.
The cost A little old
Staff was helpful A really old facility
The bed was extremely comfortable. It was clean and cozy. Continental breakfast area tiny, everyone was bumping into each other, only two small round tables for seating.
Pool was disgusting.
The noise! People above us running around slamming doors loud noise we couldn't even sleep!!
the front desk clerk at check in was not too nice or greeted us at check in
Clean rooms. Great location. Bar/lounge area. Friendly staff. Broken elevator.
Pretty decent for the area & definitely better than expected. Will stay again.
I liked the friendliness of the staff, nice clean rooms, excellent breakfast, and amenities. We could hear people stomping up stairs and in the room next to our room, and occasionally heard the train and traffic.
Brand new. Pool was out of order.
clean rooms and quiet Swimming pool was under reconstruction so children were disappointed.
Clean, easy When I checked in and they assigned me a different room late at night and told me I didn't have a choice since all of the king bed rooms were occupied even though we'd reserved one.
Super comfortable beds and bedding! Pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast. Really appreciated graciousness of employee Della Reese. She assisted us at breakfast and was a warm and welcoming presence. If I were driving through town in the future, I would stop in just to see and hug her!! Nothing really
The rooms were very big. The beds very comfortable. They had the biggest bathrooms I've deem in a hotel! The free breakfast was fantastic. I'll be staying there anytime I stay in Gallup!
Facilities, staff and services were all excellent. Great free breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausages, etc. with staff on hand to provide great service. This is trivial, but they didn't have cookies in the lobby like the Hampton in La Junta did.
The facilities appeared clean and inviting. After making a reservation and informing the staff that we had a service dog, upon arrival we were refused service due to having a large dog who barked at someone who approached our vehicle. Inspite of demonstrating his appropriate behavior when outside the vehicle, we were still denied our reservation. Finding another facility was challenging due to a balloon festival. However we were accommodated by the Hampton Inn on the West side of Gallup by a very gracious staff.
The room was clean; the staff friendly and professional; Located close to train tracks, hard to sleep well.
Nothing This place was so bad I bailed on a prepaid room and went to another hotel. Disgusting rooms, unclean, loud, a train running by every 15 minutes. I recently traveled across Africa and this place is on par with the some of the least developed countries accommodations.
Kindly check in people. For starters my room was way in the back of the building very frightening for a woman alone . Booked in a room with construction still in progress , not a good way for someone to be comfortable not willing to ever stay again ...
Good shower pressure Sheets were yellowed, wi-fi did not work, noisy. This place is old and tired, but the worst part is that there was a sign in front advertising a room rate that was lower than the rate I paid on Kayak for the exact same room. I use Kayak to book decent rooms at a reduced rate. This time I got an unacceptable room for a higher rate than was advertised to walk-in customers.
Best staffs small toilet
Staff (They were very friendly and it felt like being guest of the family), Price-Value Noisy due to railroad but I think this is Gallup standard
Size of room. Very noisy from trains all night. Leaking toilet, moldy. Old. Fan for white noise did not work. Left in the middle of the night.
When we first arrived no one was at the front desk for over 10 minutes, I called the number, no answer, knocked on the door, no answer, finally another guest noticed the front desk associate was doing something in the pool area, by that time a line had formed waiting on someone to check us in. The room was okay, but there were stains on the chairs and it didn't appear clean after seeing that. The next morning the breakfast attendant was out of plain batter for the waffles and when I asked if they had any more she replied, "well I could but it will take about 10 minutes. They served hot water for the oatmeal but it was barely lukewarm! The customer service was a joke! Terrible service!!
Left after 30 minutes Dirty sheets Broken closet Broken washing machine Smoke in a non smoking room
Pool/sauna was great 2nd night room was not serviced and we had to sparingly use our toilet tissue. Front desk did not have housekeeping key to supply us with a roll!
Location was fine Bed and room too small
I liked the bed. the service was a little rude.
No good remarks about my stay at Days inn EVERYTHING !!!!!! Staff were rude, the hotel in gerneral was filthy, they had bed bugs, I asked for a NON smoking room and the room smelt like a chain smoke just walked out the room, the pool had bugs running around the pool, the room didn't look like it was vacuumed in days, I just could NOT say the whole night so I had to check out that same night
very friendly staff nice rooms ,pool what more do you want for the low price.
Price is low. Everything is old. Bathtub in our room was cracked. Still, the price fit our needs for a quick overnight.
I booked the hotel and after arriving and realizing that I was on the bad side of the tracks, we just ate the cost and went elsewhere. The entire street is completely run down, and the $20/night hotels surround it.
Several things were not working like plug in bathtub. Some tiles were falling off the wall in bathroom. Bath towels were very small and very worn.
For a one night stay this wasn't too bad. Very pet friendly. Easy access off the Interstate. But be forewarned, as other reviewers have stated, the train runs across the street and blows it's horn at all hours. This motel is also located on the 'wrong side of the tracks'. Not a great neighborhood. Lots of run-down buildings.\n\nGood points: Very clean room. Friendly, helpful desk staff and manager. Pet friendly. Free continental breakfast including cereal, oatmeal, english muffins, begals, coffee, tea, orange juice, toast. Close to a variety of fast food and other restaurants, wal-mart, walgreens, etc. Hairdryer, TV, refrigerator in room. Good value for the money. Nice pool.\n\nBad points: Train runs across the street. No coffee maker in room. No fruit on breakfast bar. Old furniture in room. Somewhat rundown location.\n\nWould I stay here again? Yes, for a one night stay only, not a full week. And if you can't climb stairs, be sure to ask for a 1st floor room.
looking for an average motel in Gallup then this is it. bummer the trains were so close.
I would not recommend this motel. Our room was close to the pool and it smelled of chemicals very strong. The walls were thin, it was noisy and very dark halls.
We thought the room was ok. It was just for 1 night and we needed to sleep. It was too hot. The hotel was being heated. We tried to get past that and sleep. The train comes by every 2 hours and blows the horn. Skip Gallup altogether. The train runs down the same street where the hotels are.
Very nice motel. The motel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The pool was indoors and it was clean. The breaksfast was one of the best we have had on our trip across the US. They had bagels, ceral, oatmeal, English muffins, toast, doughnuts, orange juice, coffee and tea. In the room there was a coffeemaker and they even included tea bags for us non coffee drinkers. Yes it is ' on the wrong side of the tracks' but where else are the economic motels? I felt very safe in the motel and felt comfortable leaving my car in the parking lot. Yes the train does run by in front if the motel but neither my mother or I heard it during the night. Plus it is not run by Indians! And I mean the Indians from India. So no smell.
