Staff is very kind and hotel confortable
Modern and clean, view over docks to Gibraltar. Difficult to find until we saw the sign on the roof. Directions not easy to follow.
well designed, except cheap flooring in the room
Very good and clean hotel located close to the port The equipment of the fitness center was limited to 3 unites
The modern design of the room was excellent. The buffet breakfast was excellent ( though nothing cooked...). Good double glazing made for adequate soundproofing. Parking was near the hotel but took a while to find and sort out - really should be better for this category. Also, the modern design meant that the toilet door was actually never really closed........could be a problem for some!
Free mini bar was very nice. Rooms were small but very clean and modern.
We have now stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions. Compared to other hotels in the town (at which we have also stayed) in our opinion the AC Algeciras offers by far the best value for money.
Rooms, reception, facilities, everything pretty much.......superb. Vague on-street directions to Parking (a redundant but very large sign) led us to a closed entrance to a disused park which was then very difficult to get out of.....
stylish modern well-situated hotel no
It is a clean modern hotel, very visually attractive. . We could not adjust our airconditioner to our personal taste.
traditional Spanish feel. Not touristy. Lovely grounds didn't dislike, but feel dinner menus could be more interesting
This is a beautiful gracious hotel with enormous manicured grounds. The layout of our room with separate area off with desk where we could use our laptop for free, also free parking outside the hotel door. The bathroom with bidet & wc separate to bathroom. Built in 1901 as a luxury hotel, thick bedroom walls that kept out sounds from outside or other guests. Historic framed photos in public areas. The fact you can stay in a hotel today for a modest amount where prast guests were Roosevelt & Churchill just to name a few of the many famous signatures on the brass plaques in the reception. Perfect for weddings, stunning backdrop for photographic memories. 2nd generation members of staff, display their pride in the hotel.I Will return.
The grounds were lovely, the rooms very spacious--loved the bathroom, which was two rooms--the shower and bathtub in a separate room from the toilet and bidet. We had asked for a non-smoking room with a double bed. Upon arrival, we were placed in a room with twin beds. When we inquired further, we were placed in a smoking room with a double bed. I was of the impression that the special comments section of our reservation hadn't been looked at.
An excellent hotel all round only complaint was noise of seagulls!
the coffee in the resturant was awful. internet use in the room was greatly overpriced.
Decor, ambiance and good food Disappointed indoor swimming pool not open and not notified beforehand
The one bar closed at 12.00 at night - not acceptable for business people
peace and quiet .the ambience of the hotel .beautiful setting would arrange to stay again uncomfortable bed , extra pillows
The room was spacious and also quiet. I thought that the staff we dealt with were very pleasant and helpful which makes a refreshing change to some hotels we have stayed in. We wanted to use a computer with connection and there was no facility for this although there was wifi.
this hotel reminded us of our visit to sri lanka many years ago
easy to find, clean modern room would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facility
I enjoyed the room, liked the fact it had a seperate glass shower cubicle. There was nothing I didn't like.
The room was spacious and well-decorated. The hotel is bright and clean. Parking was free. The location is terrible: in the middle of an industrial area, near a multi-plex mall. We chose the hotel despite the location because it had a restaurant; staff did not tell us at check-in that the restaurant was closed, and we were left to eat in the nearby mall. They were unapologetic about the situation. Though earnest, staff was young and timid, rather than friendly or helpful.
It's a famous hotel, beautiful and full of comforts, but with a very good price (50 Euros x double room). You must have a car if you want to stay there because the position is not very good (poligono industrial de palmones)
Good location having access to the highways. Very clean and new
Easy to find, hotel is located just on highway. Easy to pack and for free, there is packing for free before the hotel with sufficient qty of space, at least we found place for our car without troubles. Good restaurant with Menu del dia - tasty food for reasonable price. Internet was ok in the room. may be price
Nothing, everithing was bad!!!! We came in hotel at 16:00 o'clock and the room was stil not ready!!! Wals in the room are so thin than you can here somebody's burp from the second floor. When somebody flushes the toilet you here it in your room like it is beside your bed. Rooms and furniture are old and not as clean as they should be. Hotel has nothing in old andalusian stile!!!! Hotel is overvalued, even 50eur per night per room would be too much.
The Hotel is directly at the autovia and has a lot of parking places, so that it is easy to get to the beaches tarifa in 20 minutes. To Gibraltar is directly at the hotel a busstop, so that you do not need a car, to get there
Not available a fine breakfast at the restaurant. Only bar .....
appearance of the hotel smelly in the corridor
Lovely room, clean, nice hotel. The room was very basic, but served it's purpose nicely. The bed was hard (but we were so tired, it didn't matter). Very difficult to get to if you miss the turn off the main road! Insanely loud croaking frogs outside the window! We didn't eat at the hotel so we can't comment on the breakfast.
It was a nice hotel for the purpose it was intended, a wedding reception.
Wonderful and very helpful English speaking staff!! They went above and beyond to make us happy and comfortable. Very nice place, enjoyed our stay very much. Wonderful patio to relax, read a book or have a glass of wine. Great place for a group of three to stay in one room with three nice beds for each guest. Marcado accross the street open until 10 PM. Parking was easy and safe. Good location to get to many different places.
Central location. Easy parking. Friendly attentive staff. Free WiFi internet. No garden. No balcony.Hard pillows. No tea/coffee making facilities.
I loved this hotel. It was exceptionally clean and the staff did all they could to facilitate our stay in Spain. The restaurant in the hotel offered excellent food for a reasonable price. The hotel is right on the beach so we were able to enjoy that easily. Also each room has a wonderful balcony. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this hotel.
Excellent customer service, beautiful rooms and brilliant views from tw massive balconies!! Just perfect!! No tea/coffee facilities in room
Located in the frontier town of Algeciras, the view of Gibraltar was perfect. With in walking distance to the beach there too. We used this as our location to get to Tarifa beaches, Ronda, Marbella, Estapona, and Gibraltar. Rooms where clean and nice, the staff spoke english and was very courteous. The resturant downstairs was also nice with all meals available. Was a good stay. Sometimes could hear the next door neighbors, but not that much.
The location was great because the village is enchanting, it is a really spanish experince Parking is tough but I don't think you can improve this because of the situation of the hotel
The cleanliness and comfort I did not like the fact that there was nowhere to sit outside, except on the balcony of the room
The hotel is ON the beach. That's very nice for children. The restaurant is quite good but not overwhelming There where many mosquitoes in the room over night an dwe looked the like next morning. The strong-smelling of the bathroom (toilets) was kind of breathtaking.
hotel close and convenient for gibraltar the bedroom was of a poor standard. with outdated bathroom facilities and overlooking a beach which was used by local youths throughout the night.
The staff at reception very polite & helpful. Location on the beach & view over to Gibralter rooms very basic could do with modernising, however the room was cleaned every day. Had to deal with a couple of mosquitos. The resturant was not cheap.
Look on Gobraltar
it's exactly on the beach
A very nice hotel, tastefully decorated You need to put better signposts to find it. 'We circled around for about 20 minutes after we got off the autovia.
Room was spacious and comfortable with a nice balcony. The terrace and garden were lovely after being in busy cities. There was a nice pool but we didn't swim as it was too cold. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't have any complaints whatsoever.
The pool, the food in the restaurant for breakfast
Modern, clean, well equipped and nice hotel. Comfort definitely appropriate to 4 stars. Large, spacious lot at the back of hotel. Clean and big swimming pool. Staff apart from the restaurant very friendly and eager to help. Accessible amenities. Big car park free of charge. Waiters in hotel restaurant sometimes too self-confident and a bit rude. This was the only drawback of this hotel.
Swimming Pool We were given a smokers room (very strong smoke smell) and the air conditioning did not work.
The balcony overlooking the park was very nice. After a long day of travel, sitting out there and watching the sunset made for a perfect end to the day.
Extremely peaceful location. Our room overlooked the beautiful garden. The cleanliness of room and bathroom at all times. Staff courteous and friendly. No tea or coffee making facility in the room, and the inablity to hang a dress properly as the wardrobe was too short.
close to los barrios commercial center, and close to ferry terminal
Just staff because was nice and helpfull. Handy to get to La Linea - just 15 minutes by bus directly from hotel. The rooms must be renovated , there are old and dirty and bathrooms are disgusting!!!! The gym too small and really warm!!! The location it's really bad - 50 minutes walk to the nearest beach - Palmones, very noisy from Motorway and factory.
Very nice room, public parking next to the hotel, pool, good location, helpful and efficient staff Breakfast was good but a bit disappointing for a 4-star hotel
nice very comfortable new hotel quite poor breakfast, matching more 2 star hotel standards
It is a new hotel with new facilities!
we stayed for a night on the way from Tarifa to Granada. It was ok, but there could be a pool bar open to have a late drink. It's not so easy to find. We asked at a kiosk and they guided us.
good the pillow is not confortable I need more
The ease of finding the hotel and getting to all the sightseeing locations.
the recepionists smiled nicely the pool cuold be closed an hour later
Very clean, very nice rooms, excellent staff
comfort easy excess unclear check in time booking.com stated 12pm to 3 pm arrived 1pm rooms not ready but did not cause major problem all rooms ready within 1 hour.
It was very close to the train and bus stations and the port. It was also relatively close to the central square and shopping areas. Finally, it was quiet. The beds were OK but not great. The bathroom seemed pretty clean (and updated) but the rest of the room seemed pretty worn out. Getting from the main parts of town to the street the pension was on was a little sketchy. There are several others nearby.
